With a deafening roar, Gaka managed to slow the descent of the Sea God’s Trident using chains, preventing any significant damage.
He glanced at John and spoke, “Kid, I didn’t expect you to be a Rebel Against Heaven. Unfortunately, you’re not yet qualified to wield the Sea God’s Trident.”
Rebel Against Heaven?
John froze for a moment upon hearing his words.
He remembered that Spoorate was a Rebel Against Heaven. Could it be that he, too, was one?
He wasn’t interested in that explanation and looked at Gaka, asking, “Senior, if I wield the Sea God’s Trident, would it be able to cut the chains binding you?”
“That?” Gaka pondered for a moment, then nodded, “It should work. But do you think you can actually wield it?”
He looked at John with skepticism.
Pulling the Sea God’s Trident out of the ground and actually wielding it were two very different things.
John was strong, but he hadn’t yet earned the Trident’s approval.
“Let me give it a try!” Before John could speak, Medusa leaped forward, a greedy gleam flashing in her eyes.
Now that the Sea God’s Trident was out, she thought she could use it.
Gaka narrowed his eyes at her, his expression cold, but he didn’t stop her.
John sneered and stepped aside, signaling for Medusa to try.
He could sense that she wouldn’t be able to control the weapon.
Medusa, however, was eager. She transformed into a massive golden serpent, her long, powerful tail coiling around the Sea God’s Trident as she exerted all her strength, trying to lift
it.
But the enormous Divine Weapon remained utterly immobile.
“Impossible!” Medusa growled in frustration. She couldn’t understand. No matter how heavy the weapon, she should’ve been able to move it even a little.
Gaka scoffed, his voice cold. “Medusa, do you really think that just because you received a small part of my legacy, you’re invincible? If I wanted to kill you, it would be effortless!”
Medusa shifted back to human form, swallowing nervously and forcing a smile. “Master, I am absolutely loyal to you.”
“Hmph!” Gaka snorted, not believing a word she said.
If it weren’t for his weakened state, he would’ve killed her already.
“I’ll give it a shot.” John stepped forward, took a deep breath, and gripped the Sea God’s Trident with both hands.
The others watched anxiously, even Gaka showing a hint of expectation.
He could feel that John was unable to earn the Sea God’s Trident’s approval, but perhaps he could still manage to lift it, even if only by force.
Boom… Boom…
The rumbling continued, and to everyone’s surprise, the massive trident was actually lifted, little by little, by John.
“What’s going on here?” Medusa muttered to herself, her eyes darkening.
She knew how powerful the Sea God’s Trident was, and she desperately wanted to claim it.
With both the Crown and the Sea God’s Trident, she could ascend to the rank of a Ten-Star Emperor, becoming the new Sea God and replacing Gaka.
“Rise!” John shouted, veins bulging on his forehead. His internal energy surged wildly as he used all his strength, finally managing to lift the Sea God’s Trident just barely.
His arms trembled slightly, sweat beading on his forehead. His face was contorted in concentration as he spoke, “Senior, I might injure you. Do you want me to break the chains binding you?”
Gaka sensed this as well. He nodded and calmly replied, “Go ahead, it’s fine. A little pain is nothing as long as I can break free of these chains.”
“Be careful!” John warned, his body shaking as he struggled to steady the Sea God’s Trident. He swung it toward the chains binding Gaka.
Whoosh…
The massive trident descended quickly, almost as if it were falling freely rather than under John’s control.
Gaka’s expression became serious as he gripped the chains with both hands, raising them high above his head, preparing to meet the blow.
Boom!
Crack!
With a deafening crash, the Sea God’s Trident cleaved downward, shattering the chains that had been wrapped around him.
But at the same moment, John completely lost control of the Sea God’s Trident. It continued its descent without slowing, heading straight for Gaka.
“Watch out!” John shouted urgently.
Gaka wasn’t the slightest bit panicked. As soon as the chains were gone, he grabbed the Sea God’s Trident with both hands.
Boom!
A terrifying force surged outward, sending everyone else around them stumbling back.
Gaka held onto the trident firmly, the massive weight pulling him down so hard that his feet sank into the ground. A trickle of blood appeared at the corner of his mouth, but he had successfully caught it.
He exhaled a long sigh of relief, then gently swung the Sea God’s Trident in his hands.
The enormous weapon seemed weightless in his grip.
Boom!
With a heavy thud, he planted the Sea God’s Trident into the ground, his face showing a look
of satisfaction.
“Kid, thanks a lot. Once I’m fully free, I’ll take you out of here.” He gave John a grateful nod before sitting down cross-legged to meditate.
He was still bound by more than a dozen chains, each adorned with sharp blades that had pierced deep into his body, and they needed to be slowly forced out.
John wasn’t in a hurry. He calmly waited, his gaze fixed on the Sea God’s Trident that was stuck in the ground nearby.
At that moment, Medusa stepped forward, intending to try again.
John sneered. He could sense that this Sea God’s Trident, like his own The Immortals legacy
sword, needed to be recognized before it could be wielded.
And clearly, Medusa didn’t have the qualifications for that.
“Damn it!” Medusa glared at the unmoving trident, growling in frustration.
“I’ll give it a try,” Sword Demon said, stepping forward, clearly curious about the weapon’s peculiarities.
He rolled up his sleeves, revealing his muscular arms, and stepped closer to the Sea God’s Trident. He bent his knees, gripping the weapon with both hands, and exerted all his strength. “Rise!” he shouted, putting everything into the effort, but just like Medusa, the trident didn’t
budge an inch.
Here, besides Gaka, only John could barely lift the weapon.
“Strange,” Sword Demon scratched his head, not overly concerned. He stepped back.
“Kid.” At that moment, Medusa approached John, glancing at Gaka, who was meditating with his eyes closed. She spoke in a low voice, “That guy is dangerous. He’s cruel and bloodthirsty.
If we save him, it could bring a huge disaster to this world.” “Oh?” John frowned, confused. “Isn’t he your master? Are you betraying him?”
Medusa wore a smug expression. “The soul contract can’t bind me. Gaka’s not a good person,
we can’t let him out.”
John didn’t believe her. He replied flatly, “You don’t really think I’m a match for a Ten-Star
Emperor, do you?”
“With the Sea God’s Trident.” Medusa gestured to the weapon nearby, lowering her voice, “This weapon is incredibly powerful. If you kill Gaka, you can claim it. And I’ll guarantee that
I can help you leave this place.”
She suspected that it was Gaka who had been sabotaging them, preventing anyone from
wielding the Sea God’s Trident. She believed that once Gaka was dead, John would easily be
able to control the weapon.
Then, if he took back the crown, he could potentially become the new Sea God and break
through to Ten-Star Emperor.
John looked at her coldly, sneering. “Heh, I really don’t trust you right now.”
After saying that, he ignored her and sat down cross-legged to meditate.
“You!” Medusa was furious but helpless. She knew she wasn’t Gaka’s match.
And she didn’t have the courage to act.
Right now, all she could do was pray that once Gaka was freed, he wouldn’t turn on her.

Senren looked at her with disdain, casually finding a seat and saying calmly, “You mean that
human, right? He’s already in my hands, imprisoned. If you want to save him, you’ll have to
obey.” “Impossible.” Jean didn’t believe him, furious. “A thing like you, neither human nor ghost, isn’t even close to being a match for big brother!”
Senren showed no anger at her insults. His face remained indifferent.
“By the way,” he continued, “there are two people you might be interested in. One is a woman
who wields the powers of the underworld, and the other is a little girl named Spoorate. Do you recognize them?” His lips curled into a smile as he thought of the two women he had just
captured.
The powers of the underworld that Sini possessed-this was something Senren had been searching for desperately.
“Sini?” Jean’s expression changed slightly. She didn’t know who Spoorate was, but the only person who wielded the powers of the underworld was Sini.
Her teeth ground together as she angrily said, “If you dare lay a hand on Sini, I’ll kill myself
right in front of you!”
As the reincarnation of the Five-colored Stone, Jean possessed a special ability-she could revive the dead and restore life to its fullest.
Senren had captured her precisely for this ability.
However, in order to activate the Five-colored Stone’s power, Jean had to be willing.
She would only willingly sacrifice herself to save John. Beyond that, she wouldn’t save anyone else.
“You little girl, my patience is limited. Don’t provoke me,” Senren’s tone turned cold and
menacing. He had tortured the two of them for over three months, but had failed to make them yield.
With no other options, he had decided to capture John and the others as leverage.
“Is that so? Go ahead, make your move,” Jean challenged without a hint of fear, lifting her
chin defiantly and staring at him with bold eyes.
“Damn it!” Senren clenched his bony fists, his teeth grinding. No one had ever dared to be this arrogant in front of him.
He really wanted to disregard the consequences and strike down this insolent little girl.
“Hmm?” His expression changed slightly as he frowned. “Gaka has freed himself from the chains. Could it be Medusa’s doing?”
A bad premonition washed over him. He stood up and left the room, speaking to the two Black
Magicians nearby. “Lock up the two women we just captured as well, and keep them under
strict watch.”
With that, he disappeared in a flash, entering the Tower of Death.
The Tower of Death was similar to the World-in-Hand-completely under his control. He
could sense everything that happened inside it with clarity.
However, it didn’t significantly enhance his power.
