It was a simple sound before everything shifted for Arthur and everyone around him. Out of nowhere, an immense amount of energy exploded from the young boy’s body, sending large ripples in the air that pushed all the monsters away from him.
The ripples were so strong that the wind picked up pace as it started whistling loudly and the temperature of the area became even hotter as the ice melted around him.
All the fighting stopped as the monsters and humans stared in one direction, feeling a horrifying level of mana assaulting their bodies like needles.
“What the hell… Is going on?” Staring at Arthur, all they could see was a thick, red aura, visible to the naked eye, forming around his body. It wrapped around him, almost as if it was trying to squeeze him to death and yet it didn’t seem like it was harming him.
Then, they saw Arthur’s body changing color to a deep red, with his veins becoming even more visible, coursing through his body up to his eyes.
A rather familiar, awfully painful feeling washed over Arthur’s brain. Blood leaked out of his mouth and eyes as his eyes lit up with an ominous color.

Arthur didn’t read the notification as he slowly stood up, pushing himself off the ground. His body swayed left and right as he felt his skin burning like magma and his entire body boiling from the inside out.
Staring up blankly, that simple look made all the Yetis step back, clearly terrified of whatever this human had turned into. It was an abrupt change, but they could feel it as clear as day. This human had become far more dangerous than ever before… He had grown stronger.
The boy stared at the monsters for a second, not even blinking once as if he had no urge to do that. His red eyes burning with a visible light peered through everything.
It was mere seconds and then everything was submerged in chaos.
*SWISH*
In a moment, the Yetis blinked and then the next moment, one of their kin dropped dead to the ground, its head completely separated from its body. That was when they reacted, jumping back with loud screeches of terror.
In the middle, Arthur stood with his body arched a little forward, his body emanating immense aura and heat. In his left hand was his sword and in his right was a gigantic sword made purely out of blood.
It rested on his shoulder calmly, yet the monsters could see the blood that formed the sword swirling and boiling angrily.
“Huh…?” Deka could simply not believe her eyes. Everything happened in a split second, so fast even her eyes couldn’t follow Arthur. Her mouth hung open in pure shock at a sight she never witnessed before. However, much to her horror, the scene had just begun.
“ROAR!!!”
One of the monsters roared angrily when it realized its friend had died and attacked Arthur without any hesitation.
Arthur’s eyes slowly moved to the side and then… He disappeared. The next second, he had manifested right behind the monster and the latter stopped moving, falling to the ground dead. Then, a moment later, its four limbs separated from its body at the base.
“Wha-!!!!” The mercenaries felt their hearts stop.
But, Arthur didn’t stop there as he turned around and made the blood sword disappear with a mere thought as all the blood fell to the ground. Then, Arthur aimed his index finger at a particular Yeti. A small ball of blood formed at the top of his finger before…
*BING*
The ball flew like a bullet, piercing the monster’s head before it could even react, and exited from the other side.
In the next second or so, Arthur aimed his finger at three more Yetis, killing them with his blood bullets in quick succession. Stay connected with My Virtual Library Empire
The others quickly snapped out of it as they immediately started running away, trying to avoid the bullets, fearing for their lives. All the anger and bloodlust they had vanished as if it was never there. Now, all they felt was fear… A deep, primal fear coming from their very souls.
*SWISH*
The boy vanished again, rushing after a monster as he formed a spear in his hand and arched his back before he threw it forward with full force. The spear cut through the air as it lunged into the monster’s back, exiting from the other side.
The Yeti gasped as it spat out a huge mouthful of blood before it fell to the ground. At the same time, the boy lunged at another running yeti as he grabbed its head with both hands.
“HAAAGH!!!” The monster screeched and cried, trying to hit Arthur with its arms. However, before it could do that, the boy uprooted its head along with its spine. An immense amount of blood gushed out of the severed head.
The boy was completely drowned in it and yet he didn’t seem to care. It only made him look even more nightmarish.
It was mere seconds, no, even less than that and the entire situation was flipped upside down. The boy who was the prey became the hunter.
He ran from one Yeti to another, killing them in all horrid forms. His ability to shape blood as he wished was simply out of this world. With a simple thought, he created bullets, swords, spears, bows and arrows, and even blood walls to deflect and attack. All of that while completely unable to think or process anything… It was all pure instinct.
Meanwhile, Arthur’s brain was in a vegetative state. It wasn’t functioning and so was his consciousness. The skill had completely taken over his body.
*Swish*
The boy chased down another Yeti while the others scattered in the trees and kicked it to the ground before he leaped in front of it. The creature shrieked and tried to push him off, fear clear within its eyes.
However, Arthur simply put the palm of his hand on its face. Then, a huge amount of blood was injected into its body through its mouth and nose. The monster resisted but the boy was like a rock, impossible to move. Slowly and painfully, the monster drowned in blood as it struggled to breathe. It quickly reached its stomach, making it bloat and fill up at an insane rate.
It grew bigger and bigger, making the monster look like a living balloon. Eventually, it popped.
*BOOOOM*
Organs and flesh flew everywhere as the Yeti turned into paste. The boy easily dodged the explosion at the perfect moment as he dashed toward his next target. He was relentless, unforgiving, and mercilessly brutal. He didn’t simply kill them… He was wrecking their corpses as if they were toys.
Even the most vicious monsters and the most cruel sadists wouldn’t think of these methods. Only a true demon, one that has no morals and no good would kill in that way. Arthur was no human at that moment… His humanity had been thrown away.
And, during all of that, the mercenaries watched with indescribable looks on their faces.
