“NOW DIE, YOU LOWLY HUNTER!” Count Monbrook roared at Yuan as he was about to send the lightning spear at Yuan.
“Judgement Spear of Lightning!”
“Hahah! Yes, father! Kill that bastard with your almighty power! He is nothing but a lowly hunter with a tad amount of strength!” Henrik laughed like a maniac with excitement, seeing the enormous lightning spear appear in mid-air.
He then looked at Yuan with a broad grin on his face, and thought, ‘Finally… Finally that bastard Yuan is going to die…and after that, those unparalleled beauties will be mine.
‘Oh my, just thinking about it makes me so excited…’ Henrik could imagine himself surrounded by Yuan’s wives in his bedroom, just thinking about it made his body excited.
As the enormous spear of lightning appeared, its immense force caused everything around it to quake, and at Count George’s order, the spear launched itself at a frightening speed toward Yuan.
The spear created a sonic boom with its lightning-fast speed as it advanced toward Yuan while slicing through the air.
The speed of the spear was so fast that the onlookers couldn’t even see it moving and only saw it disappearing from its position, they looked bewildered by it.
Witnessing this, the onlookers become shocked, seemingly speechless! And they began to whisper to one another in disbelief.
“H-Hey, isn’t that the rumored ‘Judgement Spear Of Lightning’? The spell that City Lord is famous for because of its high destructive power?”
“What?! That destructive spell?”
“Indeed. It’s the exact spell. It seems that the City Lord really hates Yuan so much that he used one of his most powerful spells to kill him.”
“It seems that way. If not, why would he use such a powerful spell to kill this young man.”
“And it appears that he wants to destroy the ‘Dandelion Inn’ building along with this young man, Yuan.”
While the onlookers continued to whisper among themselves, Yuan concentrated his eye on the approaching lightning spear.
‘This enormous amount of power…I can feel it. As expected of a peak sixth-circle mage, even I as a cultivator feel threatened by his power…’ Yuan was surprised by the power of the magical spell used by Count George. 𝑙𝘳𝒶𝒹.𝑐𝘰𝓂
The destructive power radiating from the lightning spear was so great that it made him feel a chill on his back as if his body was alerting him from the threat of the magical spell.
‘This is the first time I’ve had such a feeling…it makes me really excited now.’ A wide grin appeared on Yuan’s face seeing the dangerous attack approaching him at a lightning-fast speed, but since he is peak level Spirit Master, this speed was still slow in his eyes.
Yuan lifted his arm parallel to the ground and a massive sword that was as tall as him appeared in his grasp out of thin air.
Ting!! The massive sword, Empyreal Oblivion trembled in excitement in Yuan’s hand creating a vibration through the air sensing the powerful attack coming at its Master.
“Alright, buddy. Let’s show them what true strength is…” Yuan tightened his grip on the handle of his sword with both hands as he raised his sword towards heaven.
The Empyreal Oblivion trembled once again in excitement after hearing its Master’s voice, as though the sword had come to life. As Yuan readied to counter the incoming Lightning Spear, the blade of the sword suddenly glowed in blue—
“One Sword One Strike!”
Once the Lightning Spear was only a few inches apart from hitting him, Yuan swung his sword down with incredible force.
Clang! Yuan’s sword and Count George’s lightning spear collided with each other, creating a massive sound of metal clashing and sparks flying everywhere.
The Lightning Spear was created from condensed mana, so it was dense and acted the same way that metal does.
‘It didn’t get destroyed?’ Yuan was surprised to see that the lightning spear didn’t get destroyed from getting hit by his sword strike.
“Hahaha, you better stop struggling! You can do nothing about it, my spell is quite unique compared to the other mages and it is also one of my trump cards.”
Count George shouted from the distance with a wide evil grin on his face, seeing Yuan blocking his lightning spear.
‘I couldn’t believe that he managed to block that attack?! How is this possible?! It should be impossible to do!’ Count George cried inwardly, seemingly in disbelief.
“Your struggle is meaningless against my father’s spell, Yuan. You better surrender yourself to us willingly, perhaps that will lower your punishment and will lead you to an instant death. Hahaha~!” Henrik shouted at Yuan with a wide grin on his face as though he had won a war, he completely believed that his father’s spell could easily kill Yuan with its overwhelming destructive power.
As Yuan was blocking the enormous lightning spear with his sword, he laughed, “Hahah, should I take that as a joke?”
“What do you mean?”
Henrik had a puzzled expression on his face now, he didn’t understand what Yuan was trying to say. Does he think he can destroy such a powerful attack? Impossible! No man can accomplish such a feat, his father is too powerful.
“Hahaha…Do you think you can destroy my father’s attack? You’re being delusional, Yuan. You can’t destroy my father’s attack with your pathetic strength, so give up already!”
“Oh? Is that so?” Yuan exclaimed with a frown, then he let out a wide grin on his face. “Then let me show you what true strength is, your father is nothing but a lowly mortal…”
“Look at this! This is called true strength…!” Yuan’s peak Spirit Master level cultivation exploded, and Yuan was able to easily move his massive sword.
Crack! Suddenly a cracking sound resounded, and a crack appeared on the lightning spear. Then, Yuan used his full strength to swing his sword, causing the lightning spear to break into pieces.
Bang! A loud noise was produced when the Lightning Spear was destroyed by Yuan, a massive shockwave shook the entire Monbrook City and some of the old buildings were damaged from the shockwave as a result.
“H-Ho-How is that even possible?!” Count George and Henrik stared at Yuan with a bewildered look on their faces, seemingly in disbelief.
“H-How can he destroy my father’s one of the forbidden magic spells, the ‘Judgement Lightning Spear’?! This is not true. It’s impossible…!” Henrik didn’t believe in his eyes.
Seeing the look on the father and son duo, a wide grin appeared on Yuan’s face.
“Did you see it now? This is called true strength, unlike your cowardly attacking from a distance…” Yuan said with a mockery tone.
“You pathetic little vermin! Why don’t you just die!” Count George shouted at Yuan in frustration seeing that one of his forbidden spells was destroyed by Yuan.
His forbidden spell being destroyed by Yuan is a shame for Count George, as numerous people were watching the scene, and being unable to live up to the title of strongest Count of the Kingdom is an embarrassment to him.
“Just die! Lightning Blades!” Count George roared at the top of his lungs aiming his magical wand at Yuan.
In the blink of an eye, hundreds of lightning blades appeared in mid-air, and each of them was emitting a dangerous destructive aura. And the blades immediately launched themselves at Yuan at a lightning-fast speed.
“Sorry, but I’m not going to die.” Yuan shrugged.
“But I can’t say the same for you two father and son…” Yuan tightly gripped his sword and dashed at the approaching lightning blades, Yuan moved at a speed which is even faster than the speed of a bullet.
Clang! Clang! In the blink of an eye, Yuan deflected all the lightning blades sent by Count George, and he made it look like he did it very effortlessly.
Bang! Bang! And all the deflected blades hit the ground before disappearing, the road was now covered in many large potholes created by the lightning blades.
The onlookers were speechless witnessing such a spectacle, seemingly in disbelief. How could a human being destroy hundreds of lightning in the blink of an eye? Is this even possible?
The Monbrook father and son also looked at the scene with utter disbelief, as though their eyes would pop out of their socket at any moment.
“I-Im-Impossible! This is impossible! There’s no way you deflected each of them in the blink of an eye. No human can do that!” Count George didn’t want to believe in his eyes, he even began questioning himself if this was real or not.
“No! This can’t be! How can this be possible?! My father can’t lose to a loser like him! I don’t believe this!” Henrik said in a disbelieving voice, even though the result was clear in front of him he still didn’t want to believe it.
Count George looked at Yuan silently, and thought, ‘This is not supposed to end like this…I’m the one who should be winning, not the other way around… This is so humiliating, I can’t accept this!’
‘I must win this fight, it’s not just about winning and losing, it involves the honor of our family. If I lose this fight, it will make our family a laughing stock among other noble families.’ Count George looked at Yuan with a serious look on his face and pondered for the following moment.
‘It seems that I have no choice but to use ‘that’ spell…’ Count George sighed.
Until now, he didn’t want to use ‘that’ spell because it would put the citizens of Monbrook city in danger, and if he was not careful enough perhaps he would accidentally destroy most parts of the city.
‘Let’s just use ‘that’, or I’ll lose my face here…’
