“H-H-How is this possible…” Silas stammered, gazing at Yuan in disbelief, as if he’d just witnessed a ghost for the first time in his life.
‘T-That was one of my most deadly spells, but how? How did he destroy it with seemingly no effort at all?!’ Silas cried inwardly.
He had poured a tremendous amount of effort into perfecting this spell and had dispatched numerous opponents with it. Everyone who faced this spell met their end, unable to survive.
But now, his most trusted spell lay in ruins, shattered with ease by a young man not even half his age. This was one of the most humiliating moments of his life.
‘I-I-I’ve never suffered a humiliation in my life, and now a brat who isn’t even half of my age has humiliated me to this extent… I must kill him to wash away this shame!’
Silas glared at Yuan, his face contorted with fury, the redness spreading across his features.
“Brat! I’ve never suffered this kind of shame in my entire life! If I don’t kill you today, then I’m not Silas from the Magic Academy!”
“WIND BLADE!” Silas roared, casting another spell. A massive blade of wind hurtled toward Yuan with incredible speed.
“Ahahahaha! A lowly mage from the academy dared to talk about taking my life? Know your place!” Yuan reacted swiftly, launching himself at the incoming attack. .

With a swing of his sword, Yuan easily intercepted and destroyed the wind blade, shattering it with a single motion. The visible ripples of air scattered across the entire living hall as the attack was obliterated.
“H-How is this possible?! How can you destroy one of my best spells so easily?! It doesn’t make any sense!” Silas screamed in disbelief, witnessing his powerful spell disintegrate at Yuan’s hands once again.
“Didn’t I tell you before that you’re just a lowly mage with a few little tricks, a pathetic existence in this world?” Yuan mocked Silas with a wide grin.
Silas trembled with rage at Yuan’s words. Each word felt like a sharp arrow, piercing his pride.
‘This is totally unacceptable! This brat is making a fool out of me in front of everyone! I can’t let him keep doing it! I have to kill him as fast as possible with everything I have! I can’t let him ruin my reputation anymore!’ Silas seethed inwardly, gritting his teeth in frustration.
His eyes turned bloodshot as he glared at Yuan with murderous intent, his face flushed with both shame and extreme anger.
And once he reached the boiling point, he roared at Yuan, pointing his magic wand at him.
“Die for me! AIR CANNON STRIKE!!!”
A substantial amount of air coalesced around Silas’s magic wand, causing ripples of wind to surge through the entire living hall.
The power of the spell was palpable, and it was evident that Silas no longer cared about the potential consequences of unleashing such a dangerous magic inside someone else’s house.
‘Is this the power of a master rank mage? This is unbelievable!’ James thought, a shiver running down his spine as he sensed the immense surge of mana around Silas.

“NO! NO! MY ARMS! MY ARMS! PLEASE MAKE IT STOP! DON’T BURN THEM! Don’t burn them…” Silas’s cries filled the room as he watched his limbs disintegrate before his eyes. He dared not get too close to the flame, fearing the extreme heat it emitted.
‘I never thought this young man to be this ruthless to his enemy. Thank goodness he only knocked out Lord Joseph and didn’t do anything as extreme as this to him…’ Lord Ivan looked at Yuan with a mixture of fear and gratitude, thankful that Lord Joseph had been spared the same fate as Silas.

“Please stop! Don’t kill him…” Rowena’s voice was laced with worry as she implored Yuan.
Yuan locked eyes with Rowena for a moment, then retracted his sword. “Alright, I won’t kill him. Consider it a thank you for looking after Lily for so long. I’m indebted to you.”
“Thank you… ” Rowena breathed a sigh of relief.
“But, I can’t let him keep barking at me… hahaha!”
Before Rowena could respond, Yuan swiftly struck Silas’s head with the handle of his sword. Silas, unable to evade, took the blow and lost consciousness instantly.
