Chapter 601: Chapter 601: Banquet
The Night Dance team was on the verge of going insane. Damn it, what a shameless guy. Is this the so-called top-notch expert? He’s acting like such a scoundrel.
The ordinary team members knew their scout tried to play dirty during the day but got killed instead. They spent half the day searching for him, and when they failed to find him, they simply gave up.
Little did they know that Li Yao was the one they’d been trying to find.
All they knew was that their team now found themselves in a tricky situation.
Running was pointless, they wouldn’t be able to escape. If they continued to fight, not to mention their original inability to take on these ogres, having a shameless person like that behind them completely demoralized them.
“Bloody hell, come out if you dare, what’s the point of hiding?” Night Dance Overlord roared in rage.
“Your remark is laughable. How’s it my fault you can’t find me?” Li Yao’s voice remained calm and composed.
“Where’s the grace of a top-notch player in your actions? Aren’t you afraid of disgracing yourself if this gets posted online?” Night Dance Overlord taunted Li Yao, knowing well that top-notch players highly value their reputation.
“Then post it. Your team is on the verge of destruction and you don’t even know where your enemy is. I wonder whether people would ridicule me or you,” Li Yao said before firing his gun. The bullet whizzed past his ear, killing the man in front of him, “Oh dear, I shot unintentionally.”
“Damn you to hell.” Night Dance Overlord was on the verge of going insane. Just as Li Yao said, if this video got posted online, they would likely die of embarrassment.
If their guild’s investors saw their performance, there would be no chance of future investments.
“Some people never learn. What’s the point of hiding?” As Li Yao spoke, gunfire echoed.
Curious team members turned around only to see one of their thieves lying on the ground. Everyone felt a chill creep up their spine; this guy had managed to tag a sneaky thief.
Following two more gunshots, two more thieves lay on the ground – they’d been blown to pieces.
“Are you trying to force us into a fight to the death?” Night Dance Overlord paused to think and finally understood, Li Yao wasn’t deliberately attracting the ogres to them.
After all, their choice of camp was very concealed and quite a distance from the ogre city.
With Li Yao’s abilities, he could have sought revenge on them by stalking the thief directly to their team. His power was enough to take them on single-handedly.
With a sniper rifle, even if he couldn’t take on a hundred, he was perfectly capable of killing a couple and running away.
At that point, they wouldn’t be able to catch him nor run away, rendering them helpless against Li Yao.
But Li Yao didn’t seek revenge during the day, instead, he came over in the dead of night. All they could say was that they were extremely unlucky.
But groaning about it was pointless now. If they continued this way, even if they managed to kill the ogres, they’d have few survivors, ultimately making them easy targets for Li Yao.
“Great, then let’s see you make your move.” Li Yao sneered.
“Damn it. Head, let’s get serious with him.” The team members had had enough; it was infuriating.
“Alright, everyone move backward and locate his position.” Night Dance Overlord, who had some skills, knew well that even if Li Yao was sniping, he couldn’t be too far away.
This was especially so in the night where vision was naturally low, to say nothing of being in a forest.

They couldn’t even hold their ground with their formation in place, let alone while on the move. Not to mention, their capabilities would decrease further.

The surviving team members understood their team leader’s intentions. The close-range fighters didn’t try to escape. Instead, they chose to pin down the ogres to allow the healers to run.
By this point, from a team of almost four hundred people, only a few dozen were left. There were barely healers left too.
There weren’t many ogres left either, just a few.
But the addition of Li Yao made them very clear that they couldn’t win.
The chaos from trying to locate Li Yao earlier completely disrupted their formation.
“Nice idea, but can you guys really run?”
Li Yao’s sniper rifle was like the scythe of Death himself. In under ten seconds, the few healers who had managed to escape were now lying on the ground.
“Praire Fire, you wait. Night Dance will be irreconcilable with you, Starfire.” Li Yao killed the ogre, but there were still a few Night Dance players left. But no one dared to show their faces now, hiding far away as they could.
Li Yao jumped down from the tree straight away and summoned his Spider Tank and Hydra. Then, began to blatantly gather the spoils of war.
The dropped items of the ogres and those from the campsite amounted to quite a bit. Li Yao nonchalantly took all of the valuable items, casually tossing aside the less pricey materials.
“Damn you, I’ll fight you to the death!”
Seeing Li Yao gathering their resources and applying gunpowder and gasoline to their tents, Night Dance Overlord lost it.
Li Yao didn’t even spare a glance to the approaching Overlord with his greatsword, as he calmly lit a torch. Under the enraged gaze of Night Dance Overlord and few surviving members, he set the place on fire.
“Such a meaningless fight. Do you really think you can take on our great leader?”
The Frost Serpent immediately froze three players who dared to enter Floating Snow’s range. Spider Tank was no kinder, directly activating its main cannon and bombing the three players to ashes.
The Night Dance team channel fell eerily silence, only Night Dance Overlord’s heavy breathing could be heard.
This blow was gigantic. No one had imagined that they wouldn’t be able to even retaliate against Li Yao.
Overlord, who considered himself a top player, found that Li Yao didn’t even spare him a glance. His pets single-handedly conquered the rest, leaving them frustrated.
“Don’t go and get killed, hidden thieves. It’s pointless. Just report the situation from the shadows,” Night Dance Overlord finally came to his senses.
“Boss, our camp has been completely burned down. Whatever he couldn’t take away was turned to ashes,” a thief located far away reported.
“Alright, they’ve exited the combat state. Let’s run to our corpses and resurrect.”
“Boss, it’s bad.”
“What else could go wrong?” Night Dance Overlord replied irritably while running.
Swallowing hard, the thief said, “Praire Fire managed to get a horn from the ogres somehow. After blowing it, he disappeared.”
“What’s your point?” Night Dance Overlord had a bad feeling about this.
“Dozens of ogres emerged out of nowhere. Each team had around fifty members. They searched for a while but didn’t find Praire Fire.” The thief was almost in tears.
In a raspy voice, Night Dance Overlord asked, “Then what?”
“Then, they picked up your corpses and headed toward the Ogre City.”
All of Night Dance’s members halted in their tracks, dumbstruck in silence…
