At the police station.
Qiao Nian and Ye Wangchuan were split into two interrogation rooms for their statements to be taken.
Qiao Weimin hurried over and did not park his car properly. With an angry expression, he entered the police station. “Hello.”
“What’s the matter?” The little policeman sized him up while looking arrogant.
What kind of attitude was this!
Since the company went public a few years ago, Qiao Weimin had been highly regarded in Rao City. He had never experienced such prejudice. This was all because of Qiao Nian. He forced a smile, let down his pride, and said, “I wanted to ask you about something.”
“Did you capture a girl who was in a fight? Her name is Qiao Nian.”
“Qiao Nian? Seems like we did bring back this person…”
“Where is she?”
While he was speaking, he saw a group of people walking in the corridor from the corner of his eye.
The lady was around 17 or 18 years old. Her appearance was outstanding. Her legs were long and slender, and her skin was white. With her aura, she was easily identifiable in a crowd.
Qiao Weimin’s veins around his temples pulsed. He quickly walked over and called out to the person following the policeman.
“Qiao Nian!”
Qiao Nian had just finished giving her statement and was packing up to leave.

Fuming, Qiao Weimin turned pale and green. If they weren’t outside, it would have been much worse for Qiao Nian. “Why are you asking when you already know the answer?
“Who else could it be other than Aunt Chen?! Aunt Chen called me to get you out.”
So, it was Aunt Chen. Qiao Nian pursed her lips.
His expression was ugly, and he did not want to look at her in the eye. He asked impatiently, “Why did you fight? Where is the person you fought with?”
Qiao Nian’s eyes were cold. She said nonchalantly, “It’s just a fight. Must I choose an auspicious date?”
Look. What was she saying!
He could no longer suppress his anger. He resisted and replied, “It’s fine if you don’t work hard and do poorly in school. I don’t expect you to get into Beijing University like Chen Chen. The least you can do is to not cause any troubles for me by fighting outside!”
Qiao Nian looked at him with sarcasm. Her eyes were dark and wild, but she was not obedient. “Didn’t Qiao Chen get into Ren Yi because you fostered the relationships through dinner?”
There was still a year before the college entrance examination. How could Qiao Chen have secured a spot! It was simply getting through the back door and taking another’s opportunity away.
