“I-I… Can I ask you something?” she began nervously, her heart pounding. “You kno—KYAAAA!”
Before she could finish, Victor suddenly lunged forward, pinning her to the ground.
His cheeks were flushed, his chest rising and falling rapidly as sweat dripped from his half-naked body.

the voice in her head chimed in hesitantly.
‘You… um, grabbed the wrong bottle earlier. That was the love potion I was preparing.’
Ashara froze, her face draining of all colour. “What the fuck were you doing making that?! And why the hell was it next to the cold drinks, you idiot?!” she shrieked inwardly, her voice laced with fury.
The voice snapped back indignantly,
‘Don’t blame me! I tried to warn you, but you didn’t listen, dumbass!’
“Victor, stop!” Ashara tried to push him back, but he didn’t budge. His lips moved closer to her neck, his breath hot against her skin.
With a low growl, Victor bit into her neck gently, making her gasp.

“Victorrr!” she cried, throwing her arms around him as she sobbed into his shoulder.
Victor stiffened momentarily before wrapping his arms around her gently. His brow furrowed in thought,
‘Was that Nightfire’s doing? Or…’
He couldn’t finish the thought, too distracted by the broken girl in his arms.
For now, he focused on calming her, patting her back softly.

“So… you’re telling me that you

gave me a love potion?” Victor asked, his incredulous expression hard to miss.
His sharp eyes were locked on Ashara, who knelt on the floor with a guilty look plastered across her face. His tone carried both disbelief and amusement. “Mind telling me why you were even making a love potion in the first place?”
Ashara stiffened, her guilty fidgeting halting for a moment. Internally, she echoed the same thought. ‘Yeah, why the hell were you making that in the first place?’ she asked the voice in her mind, frustration bubbling.
“Whooooss… whooooss…”
The voice responded with a sheepish whistle.
Ashara’s lips twitched violently. ‘Seriously?!’ before answering Victor,
“I-It’s not like that!” she stammered aloud, trying to explain. “I was just… experimenting, you know? Trying new… stuff… typical succubus research and all…h-hah-haha” She let out a nervous laugh that only made her sound guiltier.
Victor raised an eyebrow, staring at her with disbelief so potent she could practically feel it. He let out a deep sigh, rubbing the back of his neck. “Well, whatever your reason… To be honest, that potion nearly made me lose my mind. That stuff is dangerous” His voice carried a mix of astonishment and concern and inwardly added, ‘I like to have it in my mind…’ as he thought of torturing would be good with this.
Inside Ashara’s head, the voice practically exploded.
“Nearly?! That love potion would have broken anyone else’s mind completely!!! Yet this fucker!! “
Ashara blinked in shock. ‘Is it really that bad?’ she asked inwardly.
The voice huffed, a mix of annoyance and grudging admiration in its tone,
“Oh, it’s worse. Drinking that thing makes a person think about nothing but sex. No inhibitions. No control. Just raw desire. And yet this guy… stayed mostly sane. That’s… insane.”
Ashara’s gaze shifted to Victor, and for the first time, a flicker of something new crept into her expression, ‘He really did resist it…’ she thought, her lips pressing into a thin line. She was impressed, even if she didn’t want to admit it outright.
Gathering her courage, she hesitantly spoke, “V-Victor… I need your he—”
But before she could finish, Victor cut her off.

“Me?” Ashara blinked in surprise, pointing at herself.
Victor, however, shook his head….. Slowly, deliberately, he reached up and removed his mask.
Ashara stared for a moment, her brain struggling to process what she was seeing. Then the realization hit her like a thunderbolt.
“OH MY GOD! IT’S YOU!!” she shouted, her voice rising several octaves. Her jaw dropped as she leaned back, eyes wide with shock. “Aether! Of all people! I can’t believe it! All this time… you were Aether! Acting like Victor! How? Why? Damn, this is just—oh my god, this is crazy!”
“Ashara,”
the voice in her mind tried to interject.

the voice in her head bellowed, finally breaking through her rambling.
She flinched, startled. ‘What?!’
The voice sighed.
“You’re making it obvious. Look at him.”
She froze, her gaze darting to Aether, who was now crouching down to her level. His amused smirk spoke volumes as if he caught her or something!
“Not bad acting,” he said smoothly, his eyes gleaming with mischief.

The color drained from Ashara’s face. She stared at him, her mouth opening and closing as she tried to make sense of his words. “Y-You know?”
He nodded, his smirk never faltering.
“But… how—” she began, her voice faltering.
