When Helena awakened, it wasnât just her status as the Chosen One that had been revealed, but something far more significantâŠ. her bloodline.
The Angelâs Bloodline!
This was a divine blessing from the Mother, an honour so rare that only the Archpriestess had possessed it until now.
But Helena had been chosen to receive this gift as well⊠This was the reason, The Archpriestess had always warned her to be cautious, to be cunning, for such a powerful bloodline could easily make her a target for those who would seek to exploit it.
But what made this bloodline truly extraordinary wasnât just its rarity.
In a world where everything, including magic and life itself, depended on Arcane energy, the Angelâs Bloodline defied all logic.
It functioned independently of Arcane energyâŠ. There was no need for Arcane energy for this ability to work!
This unique ability had been announced to the world (Mostly Higher-Ups) by the Archpriestess herself, and the knowledge of its power was the reason why everyone treated both the Archpriestess and the Saintess with such reverence and seriousness.
As Helenaâs power surged, the entire stadium was enveloped in a white, transparent dome. The healing energy spread throughout the dome, causing those within its bounds to feel their wounds closing and their strength returning.
âOh my god!â one student exclaimed.
âSo this is the power of a Saintess?â another whispered in awe.
âAmazing,â came a murmur from the crowd.
âI-If she had this ability, why didnât she use it before?â someone asked, though the answer was irrelevant in the face of their relief.
âWho cares!â
The students, overwhelmed by the miraculous healing, let out sighs of relief as they collapsed to the ground. The monsters that had been attacking them were now outside the barrier, seemingly repelled by an unseen force.
Helena, her heart still racing, opened her eyes and scanned the area. She saw her fellow students recovering, their wounds healed. For a moment, she allowed herself to feel a sense of accomplishment.
But then, her eyes searched for Aether, her concern for him growing by the second⊠To her shock, she saw him being pushed out of the barrier.
âH-Huh? W-Whatâs going on?â Helena muttered in confusion. She looked around and saw that Victor was inside the barrier, and even Snowflake was safe within its confines. But Aether was on the outside, fighting off the remaining minions.
âWhat the hell?â Aether was equally baffled. He couldnât understand why he was being kept out while his clone was allowed insideâŠ.. But there was no time to dwell on it; the minions were relentless, and he had to focus on âsurvivingâ.
âAether!!â Helena screamed, her voice filled with desperation. She had prayed to the Mother to save them all, to keep the monsters outsideâŠ. but this was not what she had intended.
Just as she was about to rush toward the barrier, a loud crash echoed through the stadium,
BOOMM!!!
The Arachnid Monster slammed against the barrier with tremendous force, causing the students to momentarily freeze in fear. But when the barrier held firm, they sighed in relief once more.
The Monster, however, was unfazed. Its eyes locked onto Helena as it let out a sinister laugh. âLooks like youâve used your bloodline abilityâŠâ it sneered. âYou do know the backlash of using that power, right?â
Helenaâs heart skipped a beat⊠but she knew all too well!
She knew the consequences of usingâŠ. The Motherâs power directly!!
Once the Arcane energy returned, her body would suffer a severe backlash proportional to how much of the Motherâs power she had used.
It was like trying to mix water and oilâŠ. They would never blend, and one would always reject the other!!
âI do,â Helena replied calmly, her voice steady despite the turmoil within her. She then turned her attention back to Aether, who was still fighting the minions with all his strength.
Meanwhile,
Both Kenley and the Mechaflesh Arachnid exchanged knowing glances as if they achieved something.
Their smirks widened as they watched the small mechanical spider latch onto the barrier. The same creature had taken blood from an unknown entity, and now, as it absorbed the barrierâs energy, the blood within its crystalline body began to swirl with vibrant, shifting colours.
âAether!â Helenaâs voice cracked with urgency as she leaned against the barrier, her hand pressed against the shimmering surface that separated them.
Aether, in the midst of fending off the relentless onslaught of minions, glanced at her with a teasing smile. âDo you hate me?â he asked, his tone light as if trying to ease the tension between them.
He had read about her bloodline ability, but he hadnât expected to be pushed out of the barrier, âI suppose that Mother bitch really does hate meâŠâ he thought bitterly, already recalculating his plans.
âNO!!â Helenaâs face turned pale at his words, taking them far too seriously, âI-I wasnât sure what was happening! Please believe me!â Despair filled her eyes as she pleaded with him.
Aether hadnât expected such a reaction, âAh, shit!â he cursed internally, quickly saying, âI believe you, Helena.â
Helena let out a breath of relief, though her face still bore traces of fear and confusion. She couldnât understand why Aether had been excluded from the barrier. âW-Whatâs going on?â Her mind raced with possible explanations, but none made sense.
She even thought Mother hated him⊠but thatâs not possible since Mother loved everyone equally!
Seeing her distress, Aether softened. He touched the barrier where her hand rested on the other side and said, âDidnât you say you needed to save everyone? Start with them.â
Helenaâs eyes flickered with emotion as her lips trembled, âT-That includes you too, Aether!!â
She reached out and tried to open the barrier to let him in. But the moment she attempted to pull him through, an invisible force repelled him.
She could exit, but he couldnât enter!
Aether smiled gently, pushing her back inside. âYeah, I knowâŠ,â he said softly, then turned to stab another minion. âGo now! You have to do thisâ
DripâŠ.
Helenaâs heart ached as a single tear rolled down her cheek. She stood there, helpless, as she watched Aether continue to fight off the minionsâŠ
Just for her to save everyone⊠Save her belief⊠Save her true selfâŠ.
He was doing this for herâŠ.because he loved her too much!!!
It was then that a profound realization struck her like a bolt of lightning, one that had been buried deep within her for so long. âSo I do love him⊠HahâŠâ she murmured, the weight of her words sinking into her soul.

Helena bit her lip, nodding furiously. She then turned and walked toward Victor, who was treating Snowflakeâs small scratches.
âTsk, not enough, not enoughâŠâ Aether thought, his face showing a hint of dejection as he continued to fight with âBraveryâ.
Meanwhile,
Kenley watched the exchange between Aether and Helena with a twisted amusement. Her lips curled into a sly grin as she observed the clear bond between them, âWhat a lovely couple~,â she mumbled to herself.
Their plan was progressing smoothly, and with a little more time, she knew things would escalate. Her gaze shifted to Aether.

âNot badâŠâ she whispered, her body trembling with a thrill.
A wicked idea began to form in her mindâŠ. how would Helena react if she took Aether, right before her eyes?
Would the saintly girl lose her composure, or perhaps⊠would she secretly enjoy it? The thought sent shivers through Kenley, and she began to stroll toward Aether.
Aether, on the other hand, was lost in his thoughts as he fought off the minions, occasionally allowing himself to be injured for the sake of appearances, âWhat should I do now?â he mused, trying to piece together his next move.
âHi, handsome~â Kenleyâs voice broke through his reverie. Aether looked up to see her approaching, her gaze predatory as her she removed her spider woman suit and cupped her boobs as she seductively looked at him.
Aether had a disgusted expression for a second before, âHeheâŠâ Aether chuckled inwardly, immediately sensing her intentions.
Meanwhile, Victor was busy helping the students escape as Helena maintained the barrier, her focus split between controlling the barrier and Dome!
The students, relieved to be escaping, paid little attention to the monster still slamming on the barrier as if it was still trying to break it.
Suddenly, Helena heard a familiar voice that made her blood run cold,
âHelena~â
She turned sharply, her heart skipping a beat as she sawâŠ.. Aether, unconscious and restrained by Kenley, who held him tightly in her grasp.
âW-What are you doing?â Helenaâs voice shook with panic. âL-Let him go!!â
Kenleyâs smirk only widened at Helenaâs desperation, her eyes gleaming with malicious intent. The small spider attached to the barrier pulsed with energy, its body glowing brighter as the blood within it began to boil.
The Mechaflesh Arachnid, noticing this, glanced at Kenley and gave a subtle nod of approval.
Kenleyâs grin grew even more sinister.
âP-Please d-donât kill him!â Helena cried, her voice cracking with fear as she took a step forward, ready to intervene.
âKill him? NoâŠâ Kenleyâs voice was dripping with mockery. She slowly licked Aetherâs cheek, relishing in the moment, before whispering with a devilish smile, âFuck him!!â
Helenaâs mind went blank for a moment, trying to process Kenleyâs words, âFuck him? What?â she wondered. freewÄbnoveâ.com
But before she could ask for details, a certain boy from the crowd shouted,
âWhat? Youâre going to hold his hands⊠like lovers and kiss him⊠like lovers and⊠have his baby??!! Thatâs way too cruel!!
How could you do that to someone who loves another woman and wants to protect her? T-Thatâs way too cruel to him⊠Heâs a pitiful person⊠âSobâ âSobâ Whoâs gonna marry him? What a pitiful man!!â The boyâs horrified face mirrored his disbelief at what he had just heard.
âH-uh?â Kenley was momentarily taken aback, âI just said⊠Fuck, right?â she wondered, replaying her words in her head.
But before she could correctly say again,
âWhat did you say?â
An ominous and emotionless voice echoedâŠ. Kenley flinched, her eyes locking onto Helena, who was now radiating a fierce, golden light.
Helenaâs eyes shone with a fierce golden light, her ethereal hair glowing and dancing with a fierce, lion-like intensity that commanded both awe and fear.
The blood within the spider crystal began to evaporate rapidly as the crystal slowly shone with multicolours.
Helenaâs voice was calm yet laced with deadly intent as she stared down Kenley, âI will kill you if a single strand of his hair is defiled by filth like you!!!â
