Julian arrives near Mt. Ember and sees a huge mountain with smoke coming out of the top Julian seeing this speculates that the volcano is active and can erupt at any time, He walks around the mountain to find a way to enter the volcano but cannot find any entrance on the ground, so he decides to climb up and see if he can find any, he takes out two small pickaxes from his pouch and starts to climb up the volcano, after reaching half the hight fo the volcano he finds a ledge so he climbs onto it and looks around and rests while he is looking around he sees a small entrance near the top right corner so he decides to go and see if he can go inside the volcano with this small entrance after he reaches the entrance he climbs in and start to crawl inside as he goes further he can feel the heat hitting his face so Julian knew he was near the exit, after crawling for a few minutes he finally reaches the other side.
When he reaches there he finds the inside of the volcano to be very big and a spiral type of staircase going downwards and hot boiling lava at the bottom, Julian looks up to see the blue sky and knows that his destination is downwards, as he walks down the spiral staircase he can feel the heat getting warmer and warmer as he goes further down when he reaches the end of the spiral staircase he finds a cave but Julian is not certain whether the inside of the cave is safe or not.
He calls out Heatran and sends him to investigate further what is inside the cave as he is the perfect pokemon for this situation after waiting for a while Heatran comes out and informs Julian that there is no danger inside the cave, Julian sends Heatran back to his Pokeball as he enters the cave.
Julian finds many small magma stones inside the cave which he stores inside his pouch so Heatran can have it later as Julian keeps walking he starts to frown as he has been walking for a while and the exit of the cave is nowhere to be seen.
Julian 'Why is this cave not ending and why do I feel that I am walking round and round in this cave while going downwards'
While Julian was pondering what is happening he hears a bird cry hearing this Julian quicken his footsteps towards the source of the sound and finally he reaches the end of the cave what he sees next puts him in amazement as he sees lava flowing like rivers everywhere and stone pillars erupting from the lava and touching the ceiling, Julian walks towards one of these pillars and investigate it and he finds images of Moltres carved onto these pillars.
Julian speculates that this is an underground shrine built for Moltres in olden days by people as no pokemon could sculpt these, as Julian walks further he sees a wide staircase going upwards and two Moltres statue at each side of it, he walks up the staircase and when he reached the top he sees a huge platform in between surrounded by lava and only a bridge connecting it to where Julian is standing, he looks further to see an altar and on that altar is a big bird pokemon with a long beak and fire coming out from the top of its head and wings, it was Moltres who was looking at Julian surprise as a human has not been here since ages, Moltres could sense some kind of power from Julian but couldn't tell what it was so it decides to ignore it.
When Julian sees Moltres he doesn't waste time he walks onto the huge platform and calls out Monferno
Julian 'This is going to be a very difficult battle for Monferno due to type disadvantage but it will do more good than bad for him so it, and with me, he will be able to have a good battle and if things get rough I have Heatran so no worries'
Julian "Go Monferno"
When Monferno enters the platform and sees his opponent Monferno knows that this is going to be a tough battle but he is ready, Moltres who see that Julian and Monferno are here to battle it so Moltres try to ignore them but suddenly something or someone sends it a telepathic message to battle Julian, Moltres knowing whoever sent it this message is a very powerful pokemon and didn't want to take any chance so it decides to finish its opponent quickly so it dives down towards Monferno and sends out an Air Slash towards Monferno
Julian "Monferno dodge then use focus blast"
Monferno dodges the coming Air Slash and sends a Focus Blast towards Moltres but Moltres easily dodges the focus blast, seeing it dodge Julian gets a rough calculation about Moltres speed
Julian 'If I take that dodging speed into consideration and rising it up a notch Moltres speed should be as same as Monferno'
Moltres sends another Air Slash towards Monferno
Julian "Monferno dodge then taunt Moltres"
Monferno jumps away and dodges the Air Slash again then he starts taunting Moltres by using his hands to say 'Come and attack me if you dare' with a smug and arrogant facial expression, seeing this Moltres gets angry and dives down towards Monferno using Sky Attack as Moltres is a meter away from Monferno Julian gives his command
Julian "Monferno dodge by Jumping up then use focus punch on Moltres's back"
Monferno dodge the Sky Attack by jumping high in the air and concentrates all energy on one punch as he is about to deliver the attack Monferno's fist suddenly starts to blaze fire
Julian 'Great he learned Fire Punch'
As Monferno was about to land the blow Moltres quickly escapes as Monferno's punch lands on the platform causing a cracks to appear on the platform like a spider web pattern and a big crater in the middle, seeing such destructive power in Monferno's punch Moltres becomes a little serious and now is thinking of trying to avoid any close range attacks.
Julian "You think you can escape Monferno Flamethrower"
Monferno puffs his chest and sends out a huge flamethrower towards Moltres, Moltres seeing that not only was the Fire Punch devastating even the flamethrower is stronger than a normal one Moltres quickly changes its direction in mid-air but to its surprise, the Flamethrower also changes its direction and directly hit Moltres injuring it lightly.
Julian 'Even though Moltres is stronger than Monferno, its control over fire is not as good as Monferno allowing him to change the trajectory of his fire attacks where ever he wants and the power of these attack is more powerful than normal'
Moltres is impressed by Monferno firepower and now is more excited to battle a strong opponent
Julian "Monferno use Flamethrower"
Monferno send out a powerful Flamethrower and Moltres counter it with its own as the two Flamethrower collides it causes huge explosions as the smoke is cleared up it looks like the two flamethrowers have canceled each other out
Julian "Monferno use ember"
Monferno sends out multiple fire shots at Moltres which hit it but it's not as effective as Moltres deliver a Wing attack ripping through the Ember directly to Monferno sending him sliding backward even though Monferno gets injured he shakes it off
Julian "Monferno use Fire Spin"
Monferno sends out a fire spin and Moltres counter it with its own Fire spin as the two clashes it causes a big boom and smoke everywhere, Julian doesn't waste this opportunity and calls out a move
Julian "Monferno flamethrower"
Moltres who cannot see what is happening due to the smoke when it hears Julian commanding Monferno, Moltres quickly moves away from its previous place but to its surprise it finds out that the Flamethrower is coming from the side and hits Moltres sending it flying and smashing it on a wall, with this attack Moltres gets injured by first being hit by a powerful Flamethrower and then getting smashed onto a wall, this cause Moltres to get angry and sends six continuous Air Slash towards Monferno.
Julian "Monferno dodge"
Monferno dodges the first three Air Slashes easily and escaping the forth by an inch but he got hit by the fifth one then followed up by the sixth one as well sending him rolling down, seeing its chance Moltres dives down towards Monferno and delivers a crushing wing attack causing heavy damage to Monferno, seeing Monferno get hit Julian is a little worried but he knew this might happen but he must continue
Julian "Monferno if you want I will stop the fight here"
Monferno who was on the ground motionless slowly gets up struggling then looks at Julian with eyes full of determination and fighting spirit, seeing Monferno's eyes Julian knows what Monferno want and that is a battle to the end, Julian is very proud of his Monferno
Julian "That what I like to see, Now Monferno lets show Moltres how powerful we are, Blaze"
With Monferno all fired up he roars as his eyes turn red and the fire on his tail grows biggers as the temperature starts to rise again as the flames dances crazily on Monferno's tail he suddenly starts to glow, he grows bigger as his arms and legs grow longer and thicker, even his tail becomes longer and finally evolving into a magnificent Infernape.
Julian 'Looks like this battle was way more beneficial to him then I thought, now he has grown into a powerful Infernape there will be no one to defeat him as I know my Infernape is special than any other, System display Infernape's stats'

Infernape roars as the flames on top of his head blaze out like erupting volcano while his powers and speed starts to rise at an exceptional level
Julain "Now Infernape use Flame Charge and slam onto Moltres"
Infernape's speed rises to a whole another level as he his already in Blaze and now using Flame Charge, he accelerates towards Moltres by jumping towards it Moltres didn't even get a chance to move as it was already slammed onto the wall by Infernape, he returns back to the broken platform.
Julian "Infernape let's finish this use Blaze Kick"
Infernape launches himself again towards Moltres who is injured badly after the last attack, seeing Infernape rushing towards it Moltres with all its powers moves away from the upcoming Kick as Molters dodges the attack the Blaze Kick lands one the wall sending tremors down everywhere next the damaged wall starts breaking down and falls towards the boiling lava, Infernape jumps from one falling rock to another and arrives back at the platform.
Julian, on the other hand, looks at Moltres who is very tired so he decides to stop the battle
Julian "Infernape let's stop now we don't want to hurt it very badly"
Listening to Julian Infernape calms down his Blaze and comes back to normal, Moltres who is back to its alter is resting and looking at Infernape with complicated gaze, if it had not dodged that last attack it would have been seriously hurt, it knew that it had lost as its advantage over Infernape were gone first it could not escape those Flamethrowers which could change its trajectory and second its speed after Monferno evolved into Infernape his speed went to another level leaving Moltres helpless, seeing that Julian decided to stop the fight Moltres was grateful.
Seeing that Moltres is tired and will rest Julian decides to leave Julian doesn't want to catch it as he already has eight pokemons and that the limit and he doesn't want another fire type in his team, Julian walks away as he exits from the cave he came from.
Unknown to him as he leaves while Moltres is resting the mysterious pokemon which was following Julian suddenly appears in front of Moltres, when Moltres looks at this pokemon it knew that this Pokemon was the one who told it to battle Julian, as Moltres is wondering why it is here it uses heal pulse on Moltres and completely heals it then suddenly disappear again.
