Because the Yang Qi is not strong, it cannot break through the gate of heaven, so it takes a different path and follows its convenience. After it comes out, it is also free and happy, walking through the streets and alleys, and climbing mountains by the water. But it can take shape, not split. It can only wander in the world, but cannot fly and change. If the sun is in the sky in midsummer, the Yin spirit will be afraid and avoid it. Therefore, although it has the air of an immortal, it has not left the ghost interest. Although it is said so, in fact, the words of the Zhengyang Patriarch have already praised the Qi cultivators who can refine the essence into qi and achieve the Yin spirit. Most people don't have the fate of becoming immortals like the Eight Immortals of Shangdong Cave. Most mortals have to endure the hardships of daily meditation and spiritual practice. It is rare to be able to obtain the fruit of human immortality without going astray. Unfortunately, from ancient times to the present, although there are not a few cultivators who have obtained the fruit of human immortality, only a few can break through to the realm of refining qi and transforming into spirit. Most immortals will eventually become ghost immortals because they cannot get rid of the limitation of life span. Dong Yeyu sighed slightly when he thought of this. The sporadic Taoist scriptures given by the system before also have a brief introduction to ghost immortals and some records of deeds - it is called Taoist scriptures, but it does not look like an obscure scripture, but more like a travelogue. The book mentions that most ghost immortals will make arrangements to reincarnate before their lifespan ends, hoping to re-enter the path of Taoism in the next life, solve the mystery in the womb, and then walk the path of immortality. But even if they make arrangements, the chance of being able to walk the path of immortality again is quite small. After all, there are more than tens of millions of living beings in the world, and it is as difficult as finding a needle in a haystack to find a reincarnated ghost immortal among so many reincarnated living beings. It can only be said that it depends on luck and keeps a thought. Some ghost immortals believe that they are not the eternal gods' choice, and they are afraid of sinking into the mortal world. They dare not touch this low-probability event and turn to the path of taking over the body. This is a typical evil and heretic. The body taken away is not their own after all. Even if they have a natural talent and understanding that is against the sky, they will be stuck in the realm of refining qi and transforming into spirits because of the incompatibility of soul and body and cannot break through. Unless they have a deep blessing, have the help of a master, or encounter a divine material to cleanse their soul and body, immortality can basically be said to be a delusion. When their lifespan is up, they will become ghost immortals again. Because taking over a person's body is a great sin, the Punishment Department of the Underworld has long recorded it. There are twelve volumes of Punishment, each with his name. At the moment of death, the Black and White Impermanence of the Underworld will come to lock up the soul, take it to the underworld to be punished, and then send it to the animal path, completely cutting off its path to immortality.
From this, it can be seen how difficult it is to walk the path of immortality. Dong Yeyu sighed in his heart, but he did not feel pessimistic or afraid. He had lived a new life, starting from a wild fox. He had already known what to do and how to do it, and his heart of Taoism was as clear and bright as glass. There are two "whatevers" in Taoism. Any behavior, thought, and consciousness that hinders and affects one's cultivation is a sinful karma. Anyone who misleads, hinders, and interferes with one's cultivation is an evil demon. Dong Yeyu dragged the bed to the window, leaned against the wall near the window, found a comfortable position to sit down, silently recited the Pure and Quiet Sutra, and eliminated the distracting thoughts in his mind. After all the distracting thoughts were gone, he began to silently recite the formula of refining qi and transforming spirit. His spiritual consciousness mobilized the true qi and essence in his body to circulate according to the running route given by Shangqing Lingbao Dongxuan Zhenjing, and gathered them in Dantian. Although it was the first time to circulate the essence and qi in this way, there was no feeling of obscurity at all. Under the mobilization of spiritual consciousness, the essence and qi circulated freely. It was indeed magical. Dong Yeyu thought in his heart, but his emotions were calm and he continued to move.
