He finally understood why the Aerial Lock Ward had been set up in the Lost City of Xianyuan. Since the apparitions in the city were unable to approach the insectoid nests, they decided to build such a ward so that both the insectoids and cultivators were unable to fly towards the sky. Ji Yuan nodded almost imperceptibly and put on an expression that seemed to say Lu Ye was indeed intelligent.
“That was why I did not let you activate the seed of the Mystic Fruit in the city. It would not have mattered if you used it in the outside world. All the apparitions were in a state of deep sleep at that time. If you had used the seed in the city, you would’ve alerted them and depleted the Pool of Divine Purification even further.”
“I see.” Lu Ye dipped his head. Soon, he recalled another thing. “After two seeds are merged, it’ll be connected to the Lost City of Xianyuan. Is that the you-know-what’s move as well?” He pointed at the sky again.
“Since you’ve figured it out, don’t probe further,” Ji Yuan suggested. “There must be a lot of seeds of the Mystic Fruits in the world, and the two seeds you’ve obtained are not the only ones that are connected to the Rift of Illusions.
