When Lin Rui came in, the blood transfusions were still pumping blood from these people. The machines besides the factory would store the blood and the Vampires would come to collect it, just like harvesting food.

So when Blade and others returned to the Nightwalkers’ squad location, they could only see a mess. In the shattered building, the bodies of the dead members of the Nightwalkers squad lie in a pool of blood, while Peter and Jack were not looking very well.
