Nakamura was glad with the way things had progressed, he was keeping an eye on Kyle because he knew how dangerous an ambitious man was.
Nakamura couldn’t find anything worthwhile about Kyle but one thing was certain, he didn’t come from money.
This was something that didn’t add up because Nakamura was aware that no one could make money under the radar without leaving some imprint.
Even if the money was illegal—and that could very well be Kyle’s predicament—nothing came back that explained his source of wealth.
Kyle wasn’t attracted to Yuki so Nakamura couldn’t use her to exploit him whatsoever but this only made him more intrigued.
Nakamura was also curious to know why that lady was interested in Kyle or why she went out of her way to remove him from that embarrassing situation.
That wasn’t the first time that night that they had conversed but Nakamura was a professional through and through.
Nakamura was glad that he met Kyle because he knew he could exploit him until things played out in his favour.
But was that the case? Kyle was a lot smarter than he let on and there was a high chance that everything that had happened played right into his hands.
“Mr. Nakamura, your guests are here,” Yuki informed him, the big Asian man was seated in his office and Yuki allowed his guests to come in.
These were men of the highest calibre and he chuckled when his eyes met theirs.
“Hello gentlemen,” Nakamura greeted her with a smile and the two gentlemen returned his smile.
“Mr. Nakamura, it is a pleasure to finally meet you,” A dark-skinned man greeted him with a broad smile as they exchanged a firm handshake.
Nakamura acknowledged the other man beside him soon after showing that the dark-skinned man had more standing in this interaction.
“I’m glad you could make it too, Samuel,” Nakamura spoke to the caucasian man seated beside him.
He was the owner of a much smaller business that was still in its early stages, he was just glad to be here in all honesty but the other man was the owner of a music label.
Nakamura wanted the right to use some of his artist’s songs in the movie because it would boost both their businesses.
“DMZ, I believe my assistant has briefed you as well as Samuel,” Nakamura
Informed them both because he wanted them to get right down to business.
Samuel was only here because the label he owned had a particularly talented artist that recently gained some traction on Spotify so in this sense, Samuel was the one that needed Nakamura’s help to push his music.
“I have been briefed and I have decided to come here as a sign of respect to you,” DMZ said, he wasn’t nobody and was reputable in the rap industry because it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say rap wouldn’t be where it was without his influence.
Nakamura was surprised himself why he was choosing a rap song but this was simply one of multiple artists he had gotten rights to use their music.
He focused mostly on the smaller labels because he would need less money to convince them as they could use his movie as some sort of promotion but they would get a certain percentage of each sale since their song was used.
Nakamura made sure to cover all legal grounds to avoid any incident that could potentially smear his efforts to make the movie as big as it could be.
Nakamura knew it would have helped to get a well-known artist to assist them in their endeavour because that would be a promotion in itself but unfortunately, no one was interested or at least the ones he wanted.
Kyle’s proposal was too good to pass up because it allowed them to improve the overall quality of the movie but he hoped the sales would allow them to break even.
That was the most important thing, they needed to make the money back before they could speak about profits.
Nakamura was a businessman first of all and money would always come first.
This was why he accepted Kyle’s offer so they could cushion the losses should it not do as well they expected.
DMZ was a difficult man to get a hold of and Nakamura was glad he was able to pull this off even though the money he offered would put him at a momentary loss.

Kyle waited for minutes that bled into hours but his trembling stopped soon after.
Kyle recollected himself and without saying a word attempted to leave the office.
The secretary kept a close eye on him because she had no idea what he was up to.
She couldn’t let a potential threat get close to her boss and this was why her fingers were on the phone ready to call security.
“Are you leaving?” The lady asked and Kyle nodded with a smile.
“I’m sorry for my earlier behaviour, it was unlike me,”
Kyle apologized but the lady could tell he was fighting demons and she wanted no part in that battle.
Luckily for Kyle, this brief delay caused by the lady delayed him enough to meet with the therapist.
“Becky, that was my last appointment for the day?” The mature woman came into view.
Becky quickly turned her head to face her employer.
“Yes, that was the final appointment. The rest of your day is free,” Becky reassured her superior.
Kyle noticed a trend and that was women having female assistants but this wasn’t restricted to them because Nakamura had one as well.
Was it because women were more naturally submissive than men?
Kyle knew this didn’t matter because anyone would act right if the pay was worth it.
Nate was an example of that but Kyle pushed all of these thoughts aside because this wasn’t his priority as of the moment.
“Is there something I can help you with?” The lady questioned and judging from her appearance she was in her mid to late forties.
Kyle knew he had to give her the respect that not only came with her name but her age as well.
“Yes, as a matter of fact, you can. I have been here for a few hours already,” Kyle informed her and she was surprised by this because she should have been told.
Becky avoided her angry gaze, looking to the ground.
“Is that so? I have to apologize but I do not think I have seen you here before,” The lady responded, abruptly changing the topic.
“That is right, this is my first time but I need to see you, it is an emergency,” Kyle informed her.
She read his body language and could tell he was going through something.
“I have no problem paying double your rates, I know I don’t have an appointment but I’m willing to pay anything for an hour of your time. Just an hour, please,” Kyle begged.
The woman could tell from his eyes that he was desperate.
“Becky, hold all appointments,” The lady said before gesturing for Kyle to come in.
Kyle was visibly relieved by this and this was the first step in his healing journey.
The trauma he had endured in his life had to be sorted out at the root, there was no quick fix for something this damaging.

Calista checked the various posts popping up online, each one with a different rumour than the last but Lorenzo was an attractive man so on paper, they looked like the perfect couple because she was attractive as well.
“I guess it can’t be helped,” Calista muttered under her breath, defeated but she knew that this was good publicity for the film.
She could explain it to Kyle but something told her that he didn’t care about what she did.
She realized that she knew too little about Kyle and decided to search for him on the internet.
The information provided was limited and Calista was shocked that she didn’t know his last name.
Even in his bank transactions, it was just his name.
That was weird, that was very weird and it hit her at once.
Calista gave up on her search but the temptation to reach out to the lady that claimed to be his sister was high.
But Calista’s conscience was eating away at her because she knew this was something Kyle would never do to her.
She owed him this much, he had helped her so much already.
She couldn’t call him and opted to send a text message hoping for the best.
Calista’s heart was pounding like crazy as she typed it, each word made her reconsider her action.
But she did the right thing, however, was it too little too late?
Kyle had already discovered the truth for himself so what difference would this confession make?
Would this be the single action that breaks their relationship?
That was to be seen but Calista now had a clear conscience, the freedom that came with it was refreshing.
