There was nothing else to do at this stage, but Calista was glad that her career was about to take off because the attention she got was unprecedented. She wasn’t aware that Kyle had caught on to what she was doing.
Calista knew she had made a mistake but there was nothing she could do at this point but to accept that mistake.
She knew that if Kyle found out then there was a chance that this could cause some serious problems among them.
But what if she told Kyle about meeting Calista? There was a chance that Kyle wouldn’t believe her but that was unlikely because he was a smart individual, there was no way he wouldn’t see through it.
He will catch on and it was only a matter of time but he did tell her to keep contact with the lady, didn’t he?
There was a chance that this would help her case as she could easily say this was part of it and she didn’t report back because there was nothing worth reporting.
Calista was overthinking this because there was a chance the woman wouldn’t even contact Kyle, to begin with.
She called Lorenzo, who answered after a few rings, Lorenzo was a man she was growing to trust because of his sexual orientation.
But she knew in the end that if something was going to happen, there was a chance that it would be because she made him feel too comfortable– something she had no intention of doing.
He would have been more wary if he was a straight man because then she would be aware of what he was after at a deeper level.
She still had her reservations because he never said he was gay, he could swing both ways but he had a current partner so she could breathe somewhat.
Lorenzo answered and in a few seconds, agreed to meet Calista with no hesitation.
Calista was beginning to wonder if he had anything else to do with his time because why was he so available?
But there was a chance that he was lonely and didn’t know anyone because judging by his accent, he didn’t grow up here.
He must have moved here but Calista, without thinking, invited him to her home.
Lorenzo arrived in a few minutes but Calista remembered at that moment that she wasn’t just a random woman.
She was getting some buzz and having Lorenzo visit her private quarters was an avenue for rumors.
And she was right, people caught on because her neighbours began to take pictures the moment he stepped out of his car.
Calista rushed outside, grabbed him by the wrist and yanked him inside the house but was it a bad thing if people thought they were dating?
“Why did you come in with your car!?” Calista barked at him, looking outside her window blinds.
“I wasn’t going to walk, was I?” Lorenzo responded with a chuckle.
He didn’t know why she was reacting the way she was as of yet because it hadn’t dawned on him just what a little fame could do to a person’s lifestyle.
Calista sighed in frustration, she made the same mistake so it was understandable why Lorenzo didn’t think of this either.
She should have never invited him to her house but it was done, these things were inevitable but she worried that Kyle might get the wrong impression.
That was her greatest fear right now but Kyle didn’t have much of an opinion regarding Calista.
She had lied to him and he caught that lie unfortunately for her but would this action have repercussions?
“Why did you want me here?” Lorenzo asked and Calista sat down some distance from him, reinforcing a barrier.
“I have something to ask you, a big favour,” Calista began.
Lorenzo expected something of this nature or she wouldn’t have called him here.
“What is it?” Lorenzo asked because he was always ready to help out when he could.
“The woman we met at the shop, she followed me home,” Calista began and noticed Lorenzo’s eyes doing a quick sweep of the house.
“Don’t worry, she isn’t here,” Calista added quickly to put him at ease before he thought he was about to be ambushed. Not that he felt threatened because he trusted his strength and Calista not to set him up either.
“That is good, you had me worried for a bit. Did she hurt you?” Lorenzo asked but Calista shook her head to reassure him that she was fine.
“No, she didn’t but I’m worried she will return,” Calista expressed her fears.
“Do you want me to call the police?” Lorenzo offered.
“No, no… I need your help, I need you to help me make her open up,” Calista suggested.
“I don’t understand what you’re asking,” Lorenzo confessed, backed up by the puzzled expression on his face. Calista realized she might have been unclear.
“I want you to use your charm,” Calista replied and Lorenzo caught on but this was a strange request considering she knew he was in a relationship.
If anything, it showed how little she respected it and Lorenzo recoiled at this.
“Is this a joke?” Lorenzo’s tone was stern, completely different from how it was a couple of seconds ago.
“I mean no disrespect! I’m not asking you to get intimate with her. I’m sorry for not being clear,” Calista quickly moved in to rectify the confusion, hoping this would change his mind.
Lorenzo was attractive but there was a low chance that this woman would blab about her family problems to a stranger just because he looked good.
If anything, she would keep it to herself to draw him in as a potential partner, something that Lorenzo knew so it was a strange suggestion nonetheless.
“I will have to decline, I’m sorry…” Lorenzo responded.
He could see the disappointment in Calista’s eyes but she was about to send him down a slippery slope at that point.
“Are you sure?” Calista asked, hoping to have him change his mind as it looked like her explanation didn’t do much in terms of swaying him.
“I am but if you need my help, you need to tell me why you need me to come onto a random stranger,” Lorenzo questioned.
He was right, she was sending him in blind like he was some foot soldier.
Lorenzo wasn’t a person to be used and he was making that clear by establishing a firm boundary regarding this in the future.
“Never mind, there is no point telling you if you won’t help,” Calista dismissed it.
Lorenzo didn’t care enough to press on but the rest of their “hangout” was filled with an awkward tension.
Lorenzo knew she could have sent him this over the phone and if she didn’t then there was a chance she didn’t want whatever she wished to say to have any digital footprint.
There was no telling what would happen or what Lorenzo could do with it, she couldn’t leave anything that could tie it to her.

Jane passed out shortly after eating with her bloated stomach hanging for all to see. It was a miracle she wasn’t obese considering how much she ate.
Ella saw her phone beside her and had no idea why she felt the overwhelming urge to snoop.
“Forgive me, Jane,” Ella muttered under her breath before reaching for her phone.
Ella knew her password so it was easy for her to access her phone.
Ella prayed that Jane wouldn’t wake up to catch her in the act even though Jane wouldn’t have a problem with it to begin with.
Jane trusted her and there was no reason for her to keep her phone away from her because she didn’t hide anything from Ella.
This was why Ella felt bad hiding what went on that night with Kyle even though she didn’t have the full story herself.
Ella found herself in Jane’s message thread with Kyle, she knew what they discussed was none of her business but she wanted to know if Kyle had told her.
It was understandable if he didn’t wish to confide in her but he should hold Jane in higher regard than her.
If he was going to tell anyone, it was going to be her but to her surprise, there was nothing there.
“Hm..” Ella found this strange but this confirmed that Kyle didn’t tell Jane everything that went on with him.
