A flash of pain crossed MO Jingteng’s eyes. The younger MO Xiuchen was not this unfeeling. He was lively and lovable, a delight to all.

She calmly looked back at him and lightly said, “Dad, I hope more than anybody that Wen Ran is not Wen Hongrui’s biological daughter. If she is not from the Wen family, she would have no right to compete with me. However, the results of my investigation are contrary to my hopes.”
By the end of her sentence, Zhou Lin’s eyes were filled with regret and disappointment. Just as Zhou Mingfu was about to say something, her phone rang.
She pulled out her phone, and her face lit up when she saw the caller ID. She laughed and said, “Dad, it’s a call from Zixuan. He hardly ever calls me.”
Zhou Mingfu’s sharp gaze softened and he said kindly, “Answer it. The better Zixuan treats you, the higher your chances of marrying into the MO family.”
