The Mother of Bloodbath kept adding ingredients, and it did not look like it was going to stop anytime soon.
The more ingredients the Mother of Bloodbath threw in, the more vigorously Liu Jie’s eyelids twitched, especially when it added the abalone pieces.
Liu Jie finally had to stop it.
“If you add more abalone pieces, the porridge will be too thick!”
The Mother of Bloodbath stopped adding the seafood and asked, “This is my first time cooking. What if Lin Yuan, Listen, and the rest don’t like the taste because there are too few ingredients?”
Liu Jie pulled out a crystal bottle of salt and handed it to the Mother of Bloodbath.
“The seafood was bought first thing this morning. You also added some Platinum abalone liver juices. There’s no way it won’t taste delicious. All we need to do now is to add some salt to bring out the porridge’s freshness. About four shakes of this crystal bottle should be enough.”
Lin Yuan’s eyebrow jumped when he heard that the Mother of Bloodbath was the chef behind this morning’s breakfast.
But he saw how attentively Liu Jie was guiding it, even giving specific instructions on how much salt to add, so the food might as well have been cooked by Liu Jie himself.

A middle-aged man with three scars on his face was pushing a wheelchair along a narrow path that cut through an expansive yard.
The dawn air was still pregnant with night chill. The skinny youth in the wheelchair had a thick blanket draped over him and was dressed in a set of white wool robes.
The scarred middle-aged man pulled the blanket tighter around the youth as he bowed and said, “Third Young Master, you’ve been out twice as long as usual. How about we return after walking through this alley?”
The skinny youth in the wheelchair was in a good mood as he replied, “No rush. I want to visit the cherry blossom forest after we’re done walking around here. It’s a pity that it doesn’t snow in Indigo Azure City. The red cherry blossoms aren’t as vibrant when they’re not viewed against the blank white canvas of snow.”
The scarred middle-aged man knew that the Third Young Master’s mood could not simply be described as good. He knew why the Third Young Master’s had such a bright and spirited demeanor.
“Third Young Master, there was a blizzard at sea last night, but it only lasted for a short while,” said the scarred middle-aged man.
The skinny youth chuckled.
“The snow might have stopped above the sea, but it must have moved to another area. It wouldn’t just end so abruptly. If only my legs were strong. I could have enjoyed the ocean view last night.”
The skinny youth suddenly asked, “Uncle Fu, you said that even Nightmare VI disappeared. How’s Second Brother taking it?”

The skinny youth in the wheelchair stretched contentedly, and his fingers rapped on the wheelchair’s armrest. His mood had apparently improved.

He realized that the Ethereal Jellyfish was collecting the Floating Silver Strands much faster than he had anticipated.
It had already collected 1/3 of the Floating Silver Strands from the ocean floor in just one night. This meant that all of the Floating Silver Strands would be collected at the same time tomorrow.
Zhou Luo’s Lava Dragon Lizard was instrumental in this result.
After spending a day in the ocean, Lin Yuan felt that spirit qi professionals had stringent criteria when picking their contracted feys.
The majority of feys could only control one of the three realms—the sea, the land, and the skies.
There were very few feys that could control two or even three.
Different feys could use different abilities in different environments.
For example, no matter how strong Liu Jie’s Insect Queen became, it could only rely on its Lightning Gathering Moths and Hurricane Owlet Moths to fight against enemies from the sea surface.
When it came to enemies that were submerged underwater, Liu Jie would be helpless.
Lin Yuan felt it was necessary for him to contract a real aquatic fey in the future besides Red Thorn that could fight underwater.
