Alarmed, Feng Tingye reflexively leaned to the side to avoid the deadly strike. A silver needle covered with poison flew past his face missing him by a hair (forgot how the figurative speech goes), almost taking his life.
When the two saw this, they were frightened frozen. Gaining back their focus, they started shouting loudly: "Assassin, there's an assassin!"
Taking advantage of the instant that Feng Tingye had drawn back, in an instant he had got up from the floor. Hearing Xia Yuqing's sounds from the side, he narrowed his eyes and unexpectedly began to make a beeline for Xia Yuqing.

Using one hand to detain the tiny eunuch's hand and drag him back, the other hand directly smashed into his chest. Receiving this strike, his face twisted backwards. But, he was once again dragged back in an instance. Unable to retaliate, he was rewarded another hand blade.

With his Lu Rui departing, Xia Yuqing let out a deep breath. Her strategically forced bitter expression swept away revealing a different expression completely. Her eyes burning with brightness she turned to Cui Er by her side and asked in a cold voice, "Who are you?"
Used to seeing Xia Yuqing's unfettered and simple-minded appearance, then to see her sudden serious face, Cui Er was startled. "Niang Niang, what do you mean? Nu Bi is of course your personal maid, Cui Er. Niang Niang wouldn't have taken a glimpse of the tiny eunuch that was by His Majesty's side… and that Nu Bi was also…."
