Neo raised an eyebrow.
Until now, he had gone through hell whenever he wanted an answer from Sphinx.
He could get the answers for free after becoming an Executioner?
If this was a sales pitch, Neo was sold.
“I’m an Executioner? First time I’m hearing about it.”
“You are one now,” the Sphinx said. “To be exact, you are the Ninth Executioner.
“The Fourth, Seventh, and Eighth will come with you to the other world, and you will find the First Executioner there.”
“I thought I was the only one who knew about all this.”
“They don’t know about the Blood Sea War, and their mission is different from yours.”
“So what is their mission?”
“I can’t tell you that.”
“Then how do I know their mission isn’t to ‘deal with me’ after I subdue the World Core?”
The Sphinx began to laugh loudly, faced Neo’s question.

Information about how to make Obitus a completed Sacred Treasure appeared in Neo’s mind.
Neo took a look at it and stared at the Sphinx.
“What? Don’t tell me you think the technique I gave you is a fraud,” the Sphinx said.
“No, it’s genuine. I can tell that,” Neo replied.
“Then why are you frowning?”
“Give me more rewards.”

“They are just one rank higher than Exalted, but I think both of us know what kind of monsters they are.”
Despite the Sphinx being expressionless, Neo felt as if it was looking at him with an incredulous gaze.

“I don’t really need your help to save Elizabeth. I can open a portal to the Underworld, take her there, and have a Grim Reaper with Holy Affinity deal with her corruption,” Neo said.
“You can’t do that,” the Sphinx scoffed. “Helping a living being would go against the rules of the Underworld, and the Grim Reapers would be stripped of their powers.”
“You are right, but you know what?”
Neo smirked.
“If I ask them to do it, they will do it happily.
“Besides, they will be stripped of their power?
“I just need to choose a Grim Reaper who is about to retire. They would lose their powers either way after they step down from the position of Grim Reaper, so they won’t hesitate to help me.”
“Then why aren’t you doing it?” the Sphinx questioned sarcastically. “You don’t need my help.”
“I’m not doing it as it will be disrespectful to the Grim Reapers to ask them to sacrifice their powers for me.”

The Sphinx fell silent.
While Neo’s words were boastful, they were—unfortunately for the Sphinx—true.
Neo’s main reason for accepting the task was to grow stronger and remove his bloodline’s curse.
Another reason was he didn’t want to make Grim Reapers suffer to help Elizabeth—trading one life for another wasn’t his goal.

Neo stopped speaking when he noticed the Sphinx’s confused look.
“Current Reincarnation?” the Sphinx asked, its tone laced with surprise.

Only three people knew about the curse:
Neo,
Henry,
and Bael.
All of them had ways to hide information from Akashic Records.
Neo was not recorded in the Akashic Records. The Sphinx couldn’t see him talking about the bloodline curse inside the Instance within the Akashic Records.
All Sphinx could see about Neo was his status screen.
Henry had a connection to an outside entity.
His actions could be predicted by the Akashic Records, but the predictions would be mostly wrong.
It made sense that in the Akashic Record’s predicted future, Henry didn’t know about the bloodline curse.
