While on his first break, Frank went to the library to pick up some books he needed to study for an incoming test. Although things could be researched online, library books were still very useful, as they were often times recommended by the teachers, so they gave the subjects that they needed to learn about.
"Ahh, where it is?" He scratched his head.
As he looked around, he heard some footsteps walking nearby, he ignored them, mostly thinking it was just another student or teacher doing the same thing he was doing.
However, the footsteps stopped behind him, and he could feel something, shadows stretching behind him, spreading into the library.
"…?"
Frank suddenly stopped looking for a book, still holding one he found, he slowly tried to look behind him, the strange presence and the sensation he felt couldn't just be some random coincidence.
"Hello?"
As he looked behind, he saw someone, a handsome, very tall, slender, yet well built young man, with long silvery-white hair, red eyes, and pale skin.
He was wearing black pants, a white blouse, and black shoes, while holding a book in his hands.
"Hello, student."
Frank instantly recognized the man; his presence and appearance couldn't be mistaken for anybody else.
"N-Noah-sensei?"
He immediately grew nervous, sweating a lot before the presence of Noah, even Frank's own powers could simply not compare to this man's aura.
And he was suppressing it at that.
"Were you looking for this book? History Book 3, right? My wife told me that there was an exam coming next week about her classes…"
"Y-You're Iris-sensei's husband?"
"Ah yes, I suppose it is not well known, huh?"
"Yeah… I mean… We are nobody to pry into other people's personal lives…"
Noah smiled after hearing that, nodding.
"Well said."
He hung him over the book, and as Frank grabbed it, Noah's hand grabbed his arm.
"Ah! Huh? Sensei?"
Noah glared into his eyes, pushing Frank into the library's wall, his eyes trying to pierce through his very soul.
"…"
"S-Sensei? My arm is…!"
Frank was about to summon his magic to defend against whatever Noah was planning to do, his heart was racing.
And yet…
"My bad, I thought I saw something…"
He let go of his arm, after doing whatever he was doing.
"What?"
Frank saw Noah walking away and looking for books as if nothing.
"What did you do to me? What… What are your intentions?!"
He confronted Noah for once, as he glared at him with a serious expression.
He was strong, but so what? It didn't simply mean Noah could do as he pleased.
And Frank wasn't the same as before either.
"…"
"I know you're someone unfathomably powerful, why would you ever bother working in a school? With your strength, can't you get anything you want?"
"Unfortunately, I can't. I had to come to this school to get what I wanted."
"…And what is what you wanted?"
Noah looked at Frank with a serious expression.
"The key, Frank, the key."
"…The key?"
Noah gave him another book, which Frank at first didn't accept.
He glared at Noah's eyes, his Aura of Mana growing stronger.
Noah didn't feel anything at all, but as Frank grew madder, he felt something, twitching his eyebrows slightly.
He noticed something, a hidden, wondrous potential, countless stars shining, burning through space and time.
"It's something that is within this school… Maybe within you? Who knows."
"W-Within me? The key for what?"
"…"
Noah wanted to say something more, but he hesitated, and then fell silent.
"Watch out for purple-haired women, Frank. They can be the worst type, and like cockroaches, they're very hard to kill too."
"Huh?"
As he walked away, Frank noticed another presence, seeing Kireina right behind Frank, looking at Noah with a furious expression, crossing her arms.
"Kireina? When did you…?"
"Frank, good morning."
"Good morning…"
Kireina walked towards him, looking at Frank with slight concern, no longer having her cold stare anymore.
"Did he do something to you?"
"No? No… Well he grabbed my arm…"
"Which arm?"
"This one- Uagh?!"
Frank was surprised as Kireina grabbed it almost as tightly as Noah, inspecting it with her eyes.
"Hmph, did he thought I wouldn't notice?"
She suddenly touched Frank's arm, pulling out something completely invisible which Frank hadn't even noticed.
"Gryeeeh! Shyeeeh!"
"W-What the fuck?!"
Frank screamed as he saw what resembled a small red colored worm with tiny black legs squirming in Kireina's hand.
He hadn't even noticed when Noah placed it on his arm at all!
"What is that thing?!"
"A tracker familiar… If you kept this thing on you, it would always tell Noah where you are."
"W-Why did he…?"
"For obviously bad reasons, of course. Don't trust him."
"And I can trust you?"
Kireina glanced at him, her face suddenly changing and becoming slightly more emotional.
"You can…"
She crushed the bug in her hands, until it turned into a little red and black jewel.
"Open up."
"Huh?"
Kireina put the jewel in her lips, and then stole Frank a kiss.
"Hm?!"
Frank blushed as Kireina's soft lips touched his own, such a warm, soft kiss…
Any intention of fighting back was gone.
Her tongue entered his mouth, placing the red and black jewel with a butterfly-shaped rune on top into his tongue.
"Gulp- Huh? What did you made me swallow- Wait, why did you kiss me?"
"It'll bud inside of you and could make you a bit stronger… Consider it a little gift."
"L-Little gift?"
"Bye for now, Frank. Take care."
Kireina didn't elaborate at all, walking away before Frank could ever get any more answers.
"…"
Frank felt his stomach getting a bit upset, so he drank a lot of water afterwards.
Once classes were done for the day, he still was thinking about the kiss, touching his lips while looking strangely happy and worried at the same time.
"Kireina, that kiss… Why did it make me so happy? Did I really know you from before? Were we lovers? But why are you so mysterious? Why aren't you telling me the truth?"
Frank began to question everything once more, gripping his fists tightly.
"I have to find answers…"
