A wedding invitation had been extended to Sage Cody by Assad just yesterday.
Like Sage Palo, Sage Cody hadn’t made an appearance, but had arranged to send a gift in his stead.
The sudden summons for an urgent meeting with Link today upon his return to his homeland must mean something was up.
After informing Jasmine, Assad, and Sandra of the situation, and giving Sage Selene a heads-up, Link went to the meeting alone.
This would be Link’s first time visiting Sage Cody’s residence.
Upon driving into the villa’s front yard, Link was surprised to see Peter Lionel’s carriage.
Immediately suspicious of this meeting, he called back Franda, instructing her to be ready to retreat into the Fairy World for a reverse summoning at any time.
“Got it, Master, don’t worry.”
After understanding the situation, Franda patted her small chest, assuring him.
Although the “Small World”‘s fourth evolution was somewhat “bloated”, it had seen a significant upgrade in the emergency mechanism of reverse summoning.
As long as Franda was prepared and generous with her power supply, Link could be reverse summoned to the Fairy World for protection within 0.1 seconds.
Adjusting his state, Link entered the living room of Wizard Cody’s villa.

As a Fourth Level Sage, killing a two-level witch shouldn’t be difficult.

Peter Lionel’s face subtly shifted before he turned to Link and said, “I was also asked by someone to mediate another reconciliation between you and the Lucia family. What do you think? The Lucia family is prepared to offer …”
“No need.”
Link cut him off before he could hear what the Lucia family was prepared to offer, stating his position clearly, “I won’t fall into the same trap twice.”
Peter Lionel, taken aback, closed his mouth and turned to look at Sage Cody.
“No use looking at me, I just helped you invite Link here, I won’t help you persuade him.”
Sage Cody ignored Peter Lionel’s stare and said dismissively, “You guys are too self-centered. Know that not all people, not all things, will go according to your wishes.”
Then he turned to Link and said, “Since you’ve made up your mind, you should go. I can handle things here for you.”
Link nodded, looking straight into Peter Lionel’s eyes and said seriously, “The conflict between me and the Lucia family currently has nothing to do with the Lionel family. I hope it remains that way.”
Not caring about the impact his words had on Peter Lionel, Link turned and left.
“Was he threatening me?”
Peter Lionel repressed his anger, speaking coldly in a low tone.
Sage Cody retorted impatiently, “So what if he was? Does the Lionel family dare to antagonize the academy and take action against him?”
Peter Lionel was silenced.
Considering the importance Dean Frist attached to Link Grande currently, no family would dare act recklessly unless someone from Diomand Family agreed.
