But now, after only a few months, he was already able to defeat level 650 beasts!
“Well, this escalated quickly,” Alex said, smirking as he drew his dagger. “Let’s see how tough you are.”
The Shadow Ravager roared, leaping toward Alex with astonishing speed.
He rolled to the side, narrowly avoiding its razor-sharp claws, and countered with a flurry of slashes from his dagger.
Each strike was precise, aimed at the joints between its scales, but the beast’s natural armor deflected much of the damage.
“Alright,” Alex muttered, stepping back. “Time to get serious.”
“Let’s go!” Alice shouted, backing away and positioning herself on top of one of the dead trees.
Aurelia, on the other hand, also ran away, but not before throwing her dagger, which she controlled from afar.
The Shadow Ravager let out a guttural howl, its shadowy body pulsing with dark energy as it prepared to attack again.
Alex steadied himself, gripping his dagger and staff tightly.
The air was tense, the battlefield lit only by the faint glow of Alice’s blood arrows and Aurelia’s occasional feeble strikes.
“Time to bring the heat,” Alex said, his smirk widening as he activated his newest skill.
Fire Fox Summons!

Two blazing ethereal foxes materialized at his side, their flames crackling with an intense, otherworldly light.
The creatures growled, their fiery forms casting a warm glow across the shadowed battlefield.
“Wow…” he couldn’t help but marvel at their beauty.
The fire foxes stood there, seemingly having their own consciousness as it seemed like they were waiting for the monster to attack their master.

They couldn’t speak, but the determination was visible in their eyes.

The Shadow Ravager lunged, claws slicing through the air toward Alex.
However, one of the Fire Foxes intercepted, slamming into the beast’s flank with a burst of searing flames.

The damage was insane!
The impact staggered the Ravager, forcing it to shift its focus.
Alex seized the opening, darting forward to land a clean slash across its exposed leg.
The beast roared, retaliating with a [Shadow Slash].
A dark blade shot out, aiming for Alex’s chest.
Before it could connect, a blood arrow struck the attack mid-air, dispersing it.
“You’re welcome!” Alice shouted from her perch, another arrow already nocked and glowing with crimson energy.
“Nice timing!” Alex called back, dodging to the side as the Shadow Ravager roared in frustration.
The second Fire Fox darted in, its flaming tail lashing out to scorch the beast’s side.
The Ravager howled in pain, its health bar ticking down incrementally.
Alex pressed the assault, weaving through its attacks with agility enhanced by his bloodline.
His dagger found purchase again and again, targeting weak points in its shadowy form.
He also sent spells over and over.
Crimson Cataclysm! Fire Meteor! Demonic Spear!
Meanwhile, Aurelia remained hidden behind a jagged rock, nervously flinging her enchanted dagger toward the monster.
The blade glanced off its hide harmlessly, dealing almost no damage.
The area trembled as dark waves rippled outward, disorienting Alex for a moment.
But Alice was ready.
She launched a volley of blood arrows, each glowing with deadly precision.
One struck the Ravager squarely in the eye, causing it to reel back in pain.

“Got your back, Alex!” she yelled.
Using the distraction, Alex commanded his Fire Foxes to launch a coordinated attack.
Both foxes converged, erupting in a fiery explosion that engulfed the beast.
Seizing the moment, Alex dashed in, plunging his dagger deep into the creature’s core.
The Shadow Ravager let out a final, ear-splitting shriek before collapsing in a heap of smoldering shadows.
“Level 670,” Alex muttered, wiping sweat from his brow. “Not bad for a ‘normal mob.'”
“Teamwork for the win,” Alice said, sliding down from her perch.
“Yeah, sure,” Alex replied, glancing at Aurelia, who sheepishly emerged from her hiding spot, “Nice job everyone!”
Aurelia flushed, ‘I wasn’t that useful…’
But even then, Alex still congratulated her for no causing any problems.
“Let’s move on. There’s bound to be more where that came from.”

Alex exhaled heavily, wiping sweat from his brow.
“One down, countless more to go.”
Alex pressed onward, keeping his senses on high alert.
The sixth floor was unforgiving, the monsters growing increasingly dangerous as he delved deeper.
Usually they would only be able to freely enter the tower months from now on as that’s when it’s zone would be unlocked.
Yet Alex was set on growing fast enough to take the gods and everybody else by surprise.
He faced a group of [Void Stalkers], agile creatures that relied on hit-and-run tactics, and a [Shadow Drake], a mid-level boss that nearly overwhelmed him with its relentless attacks.
Through it all, Alex relied on his diverse arsenal of skills:
[Chains of Restraint] to immobilize faster enemies.
[Rain of Fire] to bombard groups of weaker foes.
His undead summons to tank damage and distract opponents.
And of course, his powerful [Demonic Spear] and [Arc of Divinity] for the powerful ones.
Each battle pushed him to his limits, but his efforts were rewarded with valuable experience and loot.
By the time he reached the central area of the floor, he had leveled up twice, reaching Level 373.

He was saving them for a very specific reason that would happen later.
As Alex entered a massive clearing, the oppressive atmosphere intensified.
The ground trembled, and from the shadows stepped the [Warden of Shadows], a towering figure over four meters tall.
Its form was a nightmarish fusion of jagged obsidian armor and liquid shadow, glowing crimson runes pulsating across its body.
Two glowing, hollow eyes pierced the gloom, and elongated claws dripped with an inky, corrosive mist.

This was one of Alphox’s skills, by the way, he had used it several times before, and it was in fact one of his most overpowered defensive abilities.
