Aurumiel’s calm demeanor cracked, his golden eyes blazing with anger.

Both angels descended upon Alex, their combined power threatening to overwhelm him.
Alex stood firm, his dagger and staff still in hand, sweat trickling down his face from the intensity of the fight.

Lumineth raised his hands in a futile attempt to shield himself, summoning a desperate barrier of light.
But it wasn’t enough. The blade struck with brutal precision, piercing through the barrier and slamming into Lumineth’s chest.
