“We can’t take them head-on, not like this. Stick close to me.”
Alice nodded, her sharp gaze fixed on their enemies. “I’ll cover you. Just make sure not to die.”
“Not planning to.” Alex smirked.
The angels wasted no time.

The crimson blades streaked toward Celestiel, forcing her to dodge and momentarily abandon her target.
Alex’s mana flared as he activated his new skill, [Electric Storm], all the while avoiding Lumineth’s attacks.
Dark clouds gathered overhead, crackling with electricity.
A deafening boom echoed across the plains as bolts of lightning rained down, stunning Celestiel mid-air.

Her wings faltered, and she plummeted to the ground, landing hard with a cry of pain.

He dashed forward, daggers in hand.
Half his undead minions swarmed the fallen angel, clawing and biting, while the other half aided Alice.
Though they were easily dispatched by her radiant energy, they bought Alex enough time to close the distance.
