The two ghost servants were furious that Tang Jie had blocked their chains, shouting, “Arrogant fool! You dare to intrude upon the Nether and still act so audaciously!?”
They swung their chains, which once more began to extend and fly through the air, snakes appearing at their ends that bit at Tang Jie.
In response, rather than using the Evil Punishing Seal, he simply thrust out his hand, which began to radiate moonlight. This was the Clearheart Bodhi Hand of the Basking Moon Sect.
He had never really practiced this spell art before. Long ago, the avatar Tang Jie had used it once and given up on it after finding it unsuitable. But he now used it as if he had already used it thousands of times before.
The light flew upward, ramming into the snake heads and preventing the chains from coming down.
Tang Jie waved his hand, and the chains curled back around and wrapped themselves around the two ghost servants.
Tang Jie laughed. “You still haven’t answered my question.”
The two ghost servants bellowed in shock and fury, transforming into wisps of smoke to escape the chains. Then they reformed in the air and swung their chains at Tang Jie.
But rather than capture Tang Jie, they now sought to kill him.
He raised his hand once more, and a red cloud emerged behind him, transforming into three rays of light.
The three rays of light knocked away the chains and shone on the ghost servants, causing trails of smoke to rise from them. This time, the ghost servants were not attempting to transform, but were truly being roasted to death by the light.
The ghost servants screamed, and just as they were about to be slain, the ghost general in the rear grunted, “Impudent!”
The bone hammer in his hand trembled, and its head began to spin, stirring up a howling gale.
Tang Jie’s light was pushed back by the gale.
The gale then howled toward Tang Jie.
Tang Jie thrust out his hands, summoning a breeze in opposition, and the two winds spiraled together into a grandiose vortex.
The ghost general grunted again, throwing the bone hammer into the air, upon which countless phantom hammers appeared in the air, hurtling toward Tang Jie.
The ghost general had replaced the ghost servants as Tang Jie’s opponent.
Tang Jie was unperturbed, forming the Yin Yang Sign with his hands, turning them as if he was hugging a giant stone. A ball of light formed in his hands, and he threw it into the air, upon which all of those phantom hammers were held up in the air, unable to land.
After merging his law and body cultivation, he was able to use his abilities as easily as an Immortal. While this was primarily because his avatar was an Immortal, his perfect body also had some part to play in this.
The ghost general was stunned by Tang Jie’s abilities, and he shouted, “What are you still waiting for?”
Several dozen ghost soldiers charged out, sending a flood of black energy at Tang Jie.
The ghost soldiers all had average strength, but in formation, their threat exceeded the ghost general’s. Once they began their assault, the skies were filled with their spell arts.
Tang Jie didn’t dare to be careless and finally used the Evil Punishing Seal.
The Hundred Ghost Slaughter’s righteous energy erupted, and in one strike, all of the attacks were neutralized.
While the ghost general was still in shock, Tang Jie made his second attack.

“Anyone who invades my Nether city will die!” the ghost general howled in unwillingness.
Tang Jie coldly replied, “I haven’t even invaded it yet.”
He reached out, and the ghost general and the two ghost servants dissolved in his hand.
Three strikes of Hundred Ghost Slaughter had utterly annihilated this group of ghost soldiers.
With Tang Jie’s current cultivation, so easily dealing with so many opponents was rare, even in his past experience. He attributed this to the Evil Punishing Seal being extremely effective against large groups of ghosts.

“Yaksha!” Tang Jie gazed up at that cloud projection in the sky.
He didn’t attack, because the moment Maraju’s form appeared, he knew that there was no need.
The ghost had burned up its essence soul to notify its master, so it wouldn’t live long. Alas, this meant that it had also expended all of its Life energy.
Placing his hands behind his back, Tang Jie stared at Maraju.
Maraju was taken aback at first, and then he laughed, “Good, good! It seems that you killed the ghost general I dispatched. That you can do this means you’re no weakling. That’s great, for only the flesh of the strong is delicious! Kid, I will capture you!!!”
“You’re welcome to try,” Tang Jie indifferently replied.

The cloud dispersed.
The ghost turned to dust that settled on the ground.
Tang Jie blankly gazed at the ghost’s remains, seemingly lost in thought.
“Father!” A voice rang out in Tang Jie’s mind.
Little Three jumped out from space.
He had noticed the battle taking place and rushed over to assist.
Looking around, Little Three asked, “Father, what happened?”
“It’s nothing, but we can’t stay here anymore,” Tang Jie answered.
“So it’s time to go…” Little Three muttered.
Although they hadn’t stayed in the Yan River for long, when it was time to leave, he still found himself reluctant to go.
“We had to leave eventually.” Tang Jie was much more indifferent about it.
“Then what about Father’s former body?” Little Three asked.
Tang Jie’s original body was deceased, and the current had been reborn within the old one, so to call the first the “former body” wasn’t wrong.
