The next day, Zhou Chao woke up from his slumber around noon, gazing affectionately at Jiang Li nestled in his arms.

Despite having already fallen asleep, Jiang Li opened her eyes again when she saw Zhou Chao leaving the room. A blush colored her face as she lay there for a moment before closing her eyes and returning to her dreams.
“Today is a great day, and everything seems to be going as planned!” Zhou Chao felt rejuvenated and full of energy as he moved around in the kitchen. “Ding-dong!” The doorbell interrupted Zhou Chao’s excitement in the kitchen. He turned off the stove and headed towards the door.
Upon opening the door, Zhou Chao found a man and a woman standing there. The man had a mature demeanor, and Zhou Chao immediately knew who they were.
“Please come in,” Zhou Chao said, inviting them into the house.
The three of them took their seats, and Zhou Chao waited for the others to speak first.
“Mr. Zhou, I believe you have guessed our identities by now. Let’s get straight to the point,” the mature man said.
“Yes,” Zhou Chao replied. The mature man then took out a file from a briefcase and handed it to Zhou Chao.

Zhou Chao watched the car disappear from his sight and then closed the front door, returning inside.
“All, I’m born to be busy!” He sighed as he held the relevant documents from the steel mill.
He picked up the documents on the table and carefully examined them. He noticed that this document wasn’t much different from the previous one, except that it had specific levels mentioned on it. He played with it for a moment before storing it in his system space.
Clearing his thoughts, he got up and walked into the kitchen.
Unbeknownst to him, it was already one o’clock in the afternoon. Zhou Chao used a tray to carry several plates and headed upstairs.
“Darling, wake up!” Zhou Chao placed the tray on the table and leaned over the bed, looking at the sleeping Jiang Li. He softly called out.

“Time to get up. Let’s have something to eat first! You can go back to sleep after eating!” Zhou Chao suggested. Hearing this, Jiang Li propped herself up slowly, using her hands to support her body.
“Ouch! It hurts a bit!” Jiang Li felt waves of tearing pain and Zhou Chao quickly helped her up.
“It’s all your fault! I should bite you to death!” Jiang Li looked at Zhou Chao, who was so close. She playfully bit his arm.
Zhou Chao stroked Jiang Li’s hair and let her continue biting. She gently bit down once and then released her grip.
“I’m so hungry!” Jiang Li looked at Zhou Chao with pleading eyes.
“Don’t worry, it’s ready!” Zhou Chao moved the table closer. Jiang Li could smell the delicious aroma and felt she could eat it all.
“Do you want me to feed you?” Upon hearing this, Jiang Li rolled her eyes at Zhou Chao.
“I can manage on my own, you know. I’m not completely helpless!” Jiang Li slowly sat on the edge of the bed and started eating.
Zhou Chao rested his chin on his hand, propped on the table, silently watching Jiang Li.
Jiang Li quickly finished the lotus seed porridge in her bowl and turned to look at Zhou Chao.
Zhou Chao smiled at her expression. “Just wait here, I’ll get you more.”
Zhou Chao went downstairs with the empty bowl. He initially thought of filling another regular-sized bowl but worried that Jiang Li might not be satisfied. So, he chose an oversized bowl, even bigger than his own head, and filled it to the brim. Carrying the massive bowl, he returned upstairs.
“Brother Chao~”
“Yes? What is it?” Zhou Chao looked at her, puzzled, as she stared at him.
“Am I a pig?”
“No, of course not?”
“Then why are you feeding me like one?” Jiang Li gestured to the oversized bowl, which seemed larger than her waist.
“I just didn’t want you to go hungry. You eat first, and if you can’t finish, I’ll help.” Hearing this, Jiang Li was touched.
Jiang Li quickly finished half of the lotus seed porridge in her bowl, put down her chopsticks, and patted her round belly. She looked content and said, “I’m so full now, I don’t want to move!”
“You should rest for a while,” Zhou Chao suggested. He then picked up the remaining porridge that Jiang Li hadn’t finished and started eating it. In just a few bites, he finished it.
“All Li, haven’t you been home in the past few days? Hasn’t Auntie called you?”
“They would rather not have me go home?”
“Why?” Zhou Chao looked puzzled.
“It’s because someone here is too outstanding!” Jiang Li teased, and Zhou Chao immediately understood.

Jiang Li looked at the messy bed and the hint of red underneath the covers. She felt much better now, with reduced pain.
She carefully folded the old bedsheets, replaced them with new ones from the closet, and picked up the remnants of her Balenciaga outfit that were scattered on the floor, tossing them into the trash can.
“Phew, that was tiring!” Jiang Li smiled with satisfaction as she looked at the much cleaner room..
