He gave a small nod. “Fine, I’ll take it.”
As he turned to leave, the accountant’s tone shifting to a serious one.
“Sir, a warning,” she said seriously. “The forest may look calm on the surface, but we’ve lost more than a few adventurers in there-especially whoever took this quest. Going solo isn’t recommended.”
The young man glanced back with a faint smile.
“I like danger.”
And with that, he walked out of the guild.
Vinceral Forest – Midnight
Standing before the edge of the silent forest, the adventurer cracked his neck and tightened his grip on the glowing
orb in his right hand. His left hand held a standard longsword, dull in shine but sturdy in build.

He stepped into the forest. The deeper he went, the more unnaturally quiet everything became.
