It wasn't the first time Xuefeng had slept with another woman who wasn't his wife, but that didn't bother them. They knew his body didn't belong exclusively to them and had accepted that fact a long time ago. What surprised them, though, was his choice: out of all the women in the Dragon Realm, he decided to pick Drakos' mother even after Drakos explicitly asked him not to.
"We are back," Yiren announced her return as they landed in the flowery garden of their camp, and the ladies joined the group of women who were casually watching the ongoing fight. They didn't seem that concerned and even approved the punishment for Xuefeng's adultery.
"What's going on with them?" Wuying questioned Nuwa, who seemed the most affected by the news. "Is what Drakos is saying true?"
"From what Xuefeng told us, they are both correct," Nuwa replied as she took a large gulp of red wine from her cup. "Even though he slept with the Dragon Queen, it's not like he had any other choice. He tried to avoid it, but she was adamant about claiming his body in exchange for the Earth Flame Lisa wanted."
"Then why are you so upset?" Wuying asked without beating around the bush. "We already counted it as a possibility. Seducing the queens to secure additional benefits is Xuefeng's speciality."
"I couldn't care less that he slept with her. It was either that or killing her which I understand wasn't an option," Nuwa replied with a shrug, her gaze landing on Katherine and Xinyu who were tracking Xuefeng's movements as if in a trance. "I just don't like his new Dragon Bloodline that he acquired. Judging by how some of us reacted to it, I'm sure it will cause some problems in the near future."
The mother and daughter in question didn't even realize they were the topic of discussion as their eyes were glued to Xuefeng's silhouette. They seemed to have fallen in love once again and couldn't wait for a chance to enter his embrace.
"Mom's upset because Xuefeng's Royal Elf Bloodline weakened, and he doesn't have an elf's scent anymore," Yiren shared. "His pure Dragon Bloodline also causes him to be more attracted to other Dragons which would basically force us to accept it as well. I don't really mind since I don't depend on my Bloodline too much, but she is the opposite. Her Bloodline balance would be disturbed if she added another Bloodline to the mix and the power of her Soul Realm would suffer as well"
The ladies nodded in understanding. They would also be frustrated if they had to choose between strength and the passion of love.
"So you are saying Xuefeng will give us his pure Dragon Bloodline together with the Earth Flame?" Xiao Wen asked cheerfully. "Looks like fortune has finally favored me since that's exactly what I needed right now."
Xiao Wen knew she was one of the weaker members in their group, so she was desperate for a new power-up. If she simply focused on raising her cultivation rank, she would most likely end up not attracting a single Constellation in the future.
"I'm glad it works for you. I will join team Nuwa," Bella said as she played with a multicolored flame on her palm. "I have to pass for obvious reasons."
All Phoenixes had a pure Bloodline from birth which granted them unlimited potential, so she didn't need anything else to grow stronger. Their flame was also one of the most powerful flames in existence, and accepting the Earth Flame would be a downgrade for her.
"I might skip on the Bloodline as well, but I'm quite interested in that flame," Mona said with an intrigued smile. "I don't know how long I will remain before my sisters take over, so it will be a wonderful addition to my arsenal."
Being a Nine Elemental Fox, Mona shared her body with eight of her sisters slumbering inside her soul. She was still in her Fire Element form as her eyes glowed a fiery red, giving her an aura of danger and allure.
"Mona, you look so pretty today," Wuying remarked, admiring her hair that cascaded down her back like a waterfall of molten chocolate. "Did you do something with it?"
Mona chuckled, her red eyes twinkling with mischief. "I actually used one of Lisa's products she made before leaving with Xuefeng. It prevents my hair from drying out while my Fire Qi constantly flows through my body. You should try some."
"I will do so when I take a bath tonight," Wuying nodded with a friendly smile and glanced at Xuefeng who was still evading Drakos' punches. "How long do you think they will fight?"
"I'm pretty sure he is giving us space to think about our current situation and decide what we want to do," Tianshi replied, standing up after lying comfortably on the grass. "You can see the effect his pure Dragon Bloodline has on Katherine and Xinyu. It's obvious that anyone who accepts it will have an advantage over those who don't. Even if he wants to treat and love us equally, his Bloodline will still affect him."
"Xuefeng has never made any of us feel unwanted or neglected, so I don't think that will change," Nuwa pointed out. "I agree, though. He wouldn't mention the unwanted effects of the Dragon Bloodline if he didn't think it would affect our relationship."
"Well, this issue only affects Bella and you since I don't really care if he loves me or not," Mona replied indifferently, her eyes displaying her perverted side. "I will be fine as long as he makes me feel good."
"I was never that fond of copulation without procreation, so I'm fine if he doesn't want my body. His presence alone is enough for me," Bella muttered honestly, causing everyone to look at Nuwa.
The Elf Queen disliked the fact she was the only one affected, but she remained composed as she stated her stance, "No matter what has changed, Xuefeng has responsibilities as our husband. He promised to always satisfy me if I stay by his side, so I will hold him to that promise. I will be fine not accepting his Bloodline."
"I guess that wraps up this issue," Wuying concluded with a leading tone in her voice. "Yiren mentioned some crucial information to us on the way. Let's call Xuefeng over and discuss it further."
Nuwa only squinted her eyes at Wuying and extended her arm at the two figures in the sky. Xuefeng and Drakos were flying in the area when they suddenly froze mid-air and were dragged back to the ground by an invisible force. Both of them went through their half-dragon transformations with scales covering their bodies, but they couldn't resist Nuwa's power.
With Xuefeng back amongst them, she matched Wuying's tone and ordered, "Yiren has something to say. Everyone, listen."
