The day of the date arrived pretty quickly and I was dressing up for my date with Lisa.
Incidentally, Katsuki was also taking this opportunity to practise her makeup skills on me under Mary’s supervision.
For some reason though, she seemed really nervous to do it… I wonder why?
“Now, do you remember everything that you were taught?” Mary asked.
“Yes, Head Maid.”
“Good, because you would quickly realise that a lot of the things do not apply to Young Mistress so you would need to improvise.”
Eh? What was that supposed to mean?
I admit that I’m not that knowledgeable when it comes to makeup stuff but what does she mean by those things she learned not applying to me?
It can’t be because my skin’s really bad, could it?
Ugh… Maybe I should start some kind of skincare routine or something…
Katsuki pulled out a box and opened it up to reveal an entire array of brushes, bottles and weird stuff that I could only assume were also tools for makeup.
She then turned to Mary who gave her a curt nod before she began.
She took out one of the bottles and popped open the cap, revealing it to be some sort of translucent cream.
My Inugami maid dipped her finger in it and then started dabbing it on specific parts of my face before spreading it all over my skin to cover my face.
Once that was done, she picked up another bottle, this time with a skin coloured cream inside that she repeated the steps she took with the translucent one.
Katsuki finished up by using some kind of sponge to rub over my face, though I wasn’t really sure if it really was a sponge or not.
She then took out another bottle that she uncapped, revealing a sort of stick with some brush attached to the bottom of the cap.
“No, Young Mistress does not need that,” Mary called out immediately.
Katsuki did not protest and simply placed the cap back onto the bottle before her hand went to hover over what I assume to be a pencil.
She turned to look at Mary and the Trasif shook her head, prompting Katsuki to shift her hand to some brushes that she coated with some powder to pat on my face.
Next was something that looked like an artist’s palette except it was kept in some metal case. Katsuki opened it up and used another brush to dab onto it before brushing it along the sides of my jaw, which she then followed up with another one that looked redder in colour that she applied on my cheeks.
I noticed out of the corner of my eye that Mary took out a small notebook and scribbled something into it before discreetly putting it away.
I wonder what that was about.
Before I could ask, Katsuki went ahead to pick up some pens and started drawing on my eyelids.
I wasn’t really sure what was going on since I needed to close my eyes for this part, though I did hear Mary admonish Katsuki after a while.
“No, Young Mistress does not need that either. That would not help her eyelashes.”
“Understood, Head Maid.”
I then felt something start to press against my lips before moving along the edges of it, making a full round over my lips.
“I am done, Mistress,” Katsuki announced, bringing up a mirror for me when I opened my eyes.
I looked in the mirror and… I don’t really look any different?
Ok, scratch that. I can see now that there were some eyeshadow and some lipstick applied on me but it’s not really that obvious.
Mary nodded, “Not too bad for a first try.”
Katsuki was clearly happy with her work since her tail was wagging quite a bit so I turned to pat her head.
“Thank you, Katsuki! I love it~”
Her tail wagged just a little bit faster, “It is nothing, Mistress.”
Right then, the door to my room was pushed open, allowing Odeta and Delmare inside.
“Sister Aster! Lisa is… Oh!! Sister Aster looks so pretty!!”
Delmare peeked from behind the Amrap and her mouth hung open the moment she saw me.
So surprised was she that she forgot to continue her chant and her legs turned back into her tail, causing her to let out a gasp of surprise as she fell onto Odeta.𝗈𝓥𝔩𝒩xt.𝑐𝗈𝑚
Instead of restarting her chant again, Delmare pouted at me, “I’m so jealous of Lisa! Go on a date with me too!!”
I giggled, “Didn’t I already agree to go with you next week?”
“Oh, that’s right. Ehehehe~ I can’t wait!”
Since I was nearing the agreed time to meet with Lisa, Katsuki helped me change into a dress set aside for this date quickly.
It wasn’t really anything fancy since we were going to the Commoner’s district, so it looked simple enough for me to pass off as a merchant family’s child.
When I went outside, Lisa was already waiting in front of the gates in her Mahun form.
She had also chosen to dress herself up more than normal today and was wearing a dress that matched well with mine as though this was all planned beforehand. I have to say that she looked really beautiful, though I would have preferred her in her real form instead.
When I stepped through the gates to meet her, her jaw dropped just like Delmare’s did and she stood there staring at me for a good long minute.
“Lisa?” I called out to her, wondering if something happened.
Her mouth snapped shut and she slowly stepped towards me, “Aster? Did you… Become a goddess?”
I tilted my head at her, “Are you drunk?”
“Drunk with love? Oh most definitely~ You’re so beautiful today, Aster!”
I couldn’t help but giggle at her, “Ehehe~ You’re beautiful yourself too~ Shall we go?”
I even stretched out my hand towards her and she took it in hers, playing the part of my escort as she let me wrap my arm around hers.
The both of us made an arrangement where she would be the one leading me today. Though I have to say that this was decided before she went to accept Aaron’s invitation to go on a date, so I’m wondering what she’s going to do now that she’s double booked herself.
The two of us then made our way towards the Commoners district arm in arm like lovers would while engaged in small talk.
I noticed that along the way, we received quite a lot of attention from the people around us.
At first I thought it was maybe related to how we were dressed but then I quickly realised that they must be staring at us because of Lisa’s beauty.
Well, Lisa is indeed really beautiful today so it’s not like I don’t understand why they can’t take their eyes off of her. Even I couldn’t help but peek at her from time to time as we walked, though I have to keep looking away when she turns to look at me.
We were still about an hour ahead of the appointed time where she’s supposed to meet Aaron so I was not expecting him to be there. But contrary to my expectations, that boy was already there, sitting on the fountain with another bouquet of flowers in his hands.
Upon spotting him, Lisa quickly pulled me to a side street and out of sight from the main square.
“Oh! This way, Aster! This is a shortcut to the sweets shop!”
Well, I know that she’s just avoiding Aaron so I kept quiet and simply let her guide me down an alley where she went through what I assumed to be the side door to the patisserie.
The front of the store had floor length windows with seats that faced the main square, allowing patrons to watch the view while enjoying sweets from the store. This store seemed to be quite popular since it was quite packed with people.
I thought for sure that Lisa would avoid those seats but she had brought me there instead.
Lisa even pulled out the chair for me to sit down, “Ehehehe~ Just take a seat here Aster~ I’ll be right back with your sweets!”
Hmm… I’m guessing she must be running out to meet Aaron now… But why would she put me in a place that I could see them–
“I’m back, Aster~ I got you a strawberry shortcake~”
Uwaaa! It’s caaaaake!! Om nom nom nom~
It’s shooo gooooood!! Lisa got such a good cake for… Ahhh!
She’s using this cake to distract me! She’s definitely with that Aaron guy right–
“Ehehehe~ Did you enjoy it?” Lisa asked while seated beside me, apparently having never left my side at all.
Eh… Wasn’t she going to–
“I got you a few more cakes, Aster~ This one is peach, this one is lemon, this one is…”
Ahhhh!! So many cakes!! Om nom nom nom nom!
…
Wait!! Where is Lisa?!
“Oh~ Already done? Do you want more, Aster?” Lisa asked, still watching me from the side.
I checked the time and realised it was already an hour past the agreed time that Lisa should be meeting him, yet she was still here and Aaron was still seated in the main square waiting for Lisa.
Before I could even wonder what was going on, Lisa moved closer to me and whispered in my ear, “Aster~ Do you remember Aaron? The guy I wanted to cuck?”
I nodded, wondering why she would suddenly bring this topic up herself.
“Ehehe~ You see… He invited me out for a date today, but there’s no way I would cancel a date with my dearest Aster for him of course~ But instead of rejecting him, I got an even better idea~”
She then gestured in front of me to where Aaron was still seated and waiting for Lisa, “I decided to stand him up~”
