Su Mo walked out of the Martial Will Valley, and Tian Chen followed behind.
“Eleventh Junior Brother, are you really going to fight Zheng Renjie to the death?” Tian Chen asked gravely.
“Definitely!” Su Mo nodded.
“How confident are you in defeating Zheng Renjie?” Tian Chen frowned as he asked softly.
He did not think that Su Mo would be able to defeat Zheng Renjie. After all, Zheng Renjie was of Lv 4 Enlightment Realm cultivation with a strong combat strength. Even someone like him would not be Zheng Renjie’s match either.
He decided that if possible, he would stop Su Mo from heading into the fight. It would be better for Su Mo to work on raising his cultivation, then going forth to smash Zheng Renjie into pieces!
Su Mo paused for a moment, then replied, “I may not be absolutely confident that I will defeat him, but I will definitely not lose!”
Confidence was written all over Su Mo’s face. Although he may not be Zheng Renjie’s match in terms of strength, but after these few days of stabilizing his cultivation, he would be able to raise his cultivation further. It was not worth concerning himself with Zheng Renjie!
“Oh?” Tian Chen was slightly suprised, a curious flicker appearing in his eyes. He did not understand where Su Mo’s confidence came from.
Soon, he nodded his head, and stopped pressing Su Mo further. Since Su Mo was so confident, there was no need for him to stand in his way. As for how the fight would unfold, he would know when the time came.
“Oh, Tenth Senior Brother, does the Celestialspirit Sect sell Beast Souls?” Su Mo asked Tian Chen.
“Beast Souls?”
Tian Chen quickly recovered from his surprised and nodded. “Of course, generally, only Pill-refining Masters would have a use for such things. You should head towards the Spiritual Treasure Palace of Great Heaven Peak!”
“Thanks, Tenth Senior Brother!” Su Mo thanked Tian Chen.
“No worries, Eleventh Junior Brother. Go on your way! I’ll head back to Towering Sky Peak first.” Tian Chen brushed off his thanks with a wave of his hand, and then flew toward Towering Sky Peak.
Thereafter, Su Mo headed for Great Heaven Peak. He was planning to purchase Beast Souls to increase of the rank of his Devouring Martial Soul which at Rank 6 Earth Class, was just too low!
Su Mo soon arrived at Great Heaven Peak. As the main peak of Celestialspirit Sect, the peak was lively and busy, with many disciples coming and going, a sharp contrast against the desolate Towering Sky Peak.
Spiritual Treasure Palace stood on the mountainside of Great Heaven Peak, and it didn’t take long for Su Mo to find out where it was located.
Spiritual Treasure Palace was a majestic hall with counters for selling all kinds of treasures. Other than those counters, there were many other stalls selling treasures.
Those stall owners were clearly disciples of Celestialspirit Sect.
Su Mo was amazed at the sight. It seemed like Spiritual Treasure Palace was not just a Palace for Celestialspirit Sect to sell treasures, but was also a trading center. As long as one was a part of Celestialspirit Sect, one would be free to set up a stall here.
Su Mo strolled through the Spiritiual Treasure Palace for a few moments before finding the counter selling Beast Souls.
He was overjoyed upon finding out that that this counter sold Beast Souls of almost all levels, from the most basic Lv 1 Beast Soul up to Lv 6 Beast Souls.
However, Lv 5 and Lv 6 Beast Souls were far too expensive, and with Su Mo’s Devouring Martial Soul’s current rank, he was unsure if it could devour Beast Souls of such high rank.
After all, a Lv 5 Beast Soul was equivalent to a demonic beast’s soul at True Darkness Realm , while a Lv 6 Beast Soul was equivalent to a demonic beast’s soul at Martial King Realm. This was far beyond the level of his Devouring Martial Soul.
Ultimately, Su Mo only purchased Lv 4 Beast Souls, Class 9 Lv 4 Beast Soul Crystals cost 3,000 Medium Spiritual Stones, or 3 million Lower Spiritual Stones each.
He purchased 1,000 Crystals, spending over 3 billion Lower Spiritual Stones. The price he paid really made his heart ache, it was too expensive!
After footing the bill, he was left with not even a billion Lower Spiritual Stones.
The price he paid may be high, but he only grumbled inwardly, as raising the level of his Martial Soul was his top priority.
After purchasing the Beast Souls, Su Mo returned to his lodgings at Towering Sky Peak.
“With a thousand Class 9 Lv 4 Beast Soul Crystals, I wonder how many ranks my Devouring Martial Soul will increase by?”
Su Mo was excited at the thought and started to devour the Crystals without any hesitation.

As he took out the first Soul Crystal and crushed it, the Beast Soul trapped within rapidly grew larger and flew out with a loud roar.
It was a Wolf-shaped Demonic Beast, it pounced fiercely at Su Mo with its mouth wide open.
“Die!” Su Mo commanded, and then released his Devouring Martial Soul, quickly exerting its power.
It might have been reduced to a Beast Soul, but the Class 9 Lv 4 demonic beast was still powerful, frantically struggling and roaring even when enveloped by his devouring power.
Su Mo was not able to devour the Beast Soul even after some time had passed.
“I refuse to believe I can’t devour you!”
Su Mo roared and exerted his Devouring Martial Soul to its maximum while also drawing on his sword will, with many invisible sword shadows stabbing at this Wolf-shaped Demonic Beast.
Finally, under the attack of the countless sword shadows, this Wolf-shaped Demonic Beast was no longer able to resist the devouring power, and was quickly devoured by Su Mo.

Su Mo gave a sigh of relief. Thankfully, he had not purchased the Lv 5 Beast Souls, or he would not have been able to devour them.
Su Mo continued to devour the Beast Souls.
However, today’s attempt at devouring Beast Souls was much slower and more difficult than before!
It took 6 hours before Su Mo devoured 300 Beast Souls, and his Devouring Martial Soul finally moved one rank up, with a seventh purple halo appearing to mark its promotion to Rank 7 Earth Class Martial Soul.
After his Martial Soul had moved one rank up, its devouring power intensified, and devouring those Class 9 Lv 4 Beast Souls became much easier.
After devouring another 400 odd Class 9 Lv 4 Beast Souls, his Martial Soul moved up the next rank again, and attained Rank 8 Earth Class.
Su Mo was pleased. These Class 9 Lv 4 Beast Souls were indeed good, their effectiveness hundreds of times better than those of Class 1 Lv 4. Just 700 of such Beast Souls were enough for his Devouring Martial Soul to move up two ranks.
Devouring the remaining 200 odd Beast Souls became a whole lot easier to Su Mo, and he managed to devour them all in a matter of minutes.
Those 200 odd Beast Souls though, were not enough for his Martial Soul to advance to the next rank.
“I’ll start working on my cultivation next, increasing my physical strength!”
Su Mo was not too disappointed, and started to prepare to devour Spiritual Stones. He would work on advancing his cultivation to Lv 2 Enlightment Realm, and his physical strength to the equivalent of Lv 4 Enlightment Realm, and only then would he be able to challenge Zheng Renjie. This was where his confidence came from.
If Zheng Renjie’s strength was not powerful enough, Su Mo would definitely finish him off in the upcoming fight.
It had been more than two weeks since the last time he advanced two levels, and by this time, his cultivation had almost fully stabalized. It was now time to breakthrough to the next level.
“Burst!” Su Mo softly commanded, after taking out a large pile of Spiritual Stones, and immediately started to devour them.
Instantly, the entire room was filled with a dense Spiritual Qi that enveloped Su Mo completely.
After some time, everything returned back to normal, and all of the Spiritual Qi had vanished.
