The woman in purple brought Su Mo and Wu Sheng to a giant palace in the Celestialspirit Sect.
This was the Celestialspirit Sect’s examination arena.
There were at least a few dozen people in line. Although it was currently not recruitment season at the Celestialspirit Sect, it was still one of the East Continent’s seven largest forces. Many outstanding talents were still recommended by others to take the entrance exam.
All these young men and women were led here by Celestialspirit Sect disciples to participate in the entrance exam!
The woman in purple brought Su Mo’s group to wait in line.
The Celestialspirit Sect’s entrance exam consisted of three parts. The first segment was to test one’s Martial Soul’s talent. The second segment was to test of one’s physical qualities. The third segment was to test one’s resolution.
This was no different from the entrance examinations of most sects.
If a martial artist was found to have a Martial Soul in the Earth Class, he or she could skip the following two tests and be inducted into the Celestialspirit Sect directly.
If their Martial Soul was not in the Earth Class, but they proved to be strong in either their physical properties or resolution, they could also join the Celestialspirit Sect.
Normally, there would be more martial artists possessing stronger physical properties than those with a strong resolution.
The Celestialspirit Sect’s tests were rather comprehensive. Aside from those three parts, there were also additional tests.
For example, if martial artists did not meet the standards of any of the three segments, they could also undergo a willpower test. If they displayed exceptional willpower, they could also join the sect.
The young men and women went through the exam under the watch of the supervising elder. The ones who passed were overjoyed, while the ones who did not sank into depression!
Soon, it was Su Mo’s turn.
He walked into the examination arena and prepared to undergo the Martial Soul test.
However, this world was full of people who liked to jump the queue. A middle-aged man in a silk robe quickly approached with a handsome young man in tow.
“Elder Wu, test my nephew first!”
The middle-aged man said with a smile and a salute to the supervising elder.
“Oh, it’s Elder Chu!” the supervising elder recognized the man and returned the greeting.
“Elder Wu, this is my nephew, Chu Yunshan. He is extremely talented. Please let him undergo the test first!”
Elder Chu pointed to the handsome young man next to him and said with a smile, “As you know, I am a busy man, so I’ll leave with him as soon as he is done with the exam!”
“Alright!” Elder Wu nodded and asked with a smile, “Chu Yunshan? Is he the younger brother of your eldest nephew, Chu Yunfeng?”
“Yes! The brothers are both geniuses. Yunshan is more talented than Yunfeng!” Elder Chu nodded.
“Oh! He’s more talented than Chu Yunfeng?” Elder Wu asked, surprised.
Chu Yunfeng was considered a rare talent in the outer gate, but Chu Yunfeng was now said to be even stronger than he was!
“Then let’s test him first!” Elder Wu said with a smile.
The handsome young man immediately walked forward in the testing arena.
“Step aside!” he glanced at Su Mo and dismissed Su Mo with a careless wave of his hand, as if he was swatting a fly.
Su Mo frowned. There were always bullies who used their status or strength to push others around no matter where he went!
“Elder, I was here first!” Su Mo said quietly to Elder Wu.
Elder Wu was shocked, and then he said unpleasantly, “You may step aside for now! Chu Yunshan will go first since Elder Chu is busy and can’t wait long!”
“Busy? Don’t we all have things to do?” Su Mo shot back.
He knew that his words would offend the supervising elder, but he did not want to back down. He had to stay true to himself because if he kept letting others walk over him, he could never become a powerful master!
Therefore, he had to say those words even if he offended the supervising elder.
Elder Wu’s, Elder Chu’s, and Chu Yunshan’s faces darkened at Su Mo’s words.
“Boy, you’re pretty full of yourself!” Chu Yunshan sneered, then continued, “Don’t you know that anyone recommended by outer gate elders can go first?”
His face was haughty.
“People who are recommended by outer elders can go first? I was recommended by the master of a peak!” Su Mo said with a cold laugh.
His words caused everyone to freeze in shock before laughter rang from many amongst the crowd.
“Recommended by the master of a peak? Who is he trying to kid?”
“He’s definitely kidding. How could that be possible?”
“The master of a peak is way too busy to recommend him!”
Everyone started talking all at once and looked at Su Mo with disdain. It was clear that no one believed him.
“Hahaha!” Chu Yunshan laughed mockingly.
Elder Chu and Elder Wu were both stunned. “This guy is insane!”
Elder Wu shook his head helplessly. He turned to look at the woman in purple who had brought Su Mo here.
“Wei Yun, did you recommend him?” he asked.
The woman in purple was a talented disciple of Dark Sky Peak.
She shook her head coldly and said, “He was indeed recommended by the master of a peak!”
Wei Yun was not lying. The beautiful woman from before was Dark Sky Peak’s master, and she had told her to bring Su Mo and Wu Sheng to take the exam!
Wei Yun’s words were enough to silence the crowd.
“A recomendation by the Fairy of the Ninth Heaven!” Elder Wu’s eyes widened as he gasped.
The master of Dark Sky Peak as known as the Fairy of the Ninth Heaven, the most beautiful woman in East Continent. She was ranked fourth amongst the Holy Elders of the Celestialspirit Sect and placed top five amongst the martial artists in the sect!
In the Celestialspirit Sect, the elders were also ranked accordingly. As outer gate elders, Elder Wu and Elder Chu were of the lowest level. Above them were inner elders and Holy Elders.
There were less than 20 Holy Elders in the entire sect and this included the nine peak masters.
These peak masters were the strongest of the Holy Elders.
This showed how respected peak masters were in the sect, and how much more important they were compared to outer elders.
“This young man has been recommended by the Fairy of the Ninth Heaven?”
Elder Wu was shocked to the core.
Chu Yunshan and Elder Chu were completely struck dumb!
No one doubted Wei Yun’s words, because she was not only a talented disciple of Dark Sky Peak, but she also waited upon the Fairy of the Ninth Heaven.
“How… how can this be?”
Chu Yunshan’s mouth twitched, and his face was filled with disbelief. Compared to the Fairy of the Ninth Heaven, his uncle, Elder Chu, was absolutely nothing!
