Jun Ronghua threw a tantrum when Jun Tianyun took Maria with him. ” Why can she go with you but not me?”
” Coul-Could it be…” Jun Ronghua gasped as she looked at Maria. ” You have fallen for Maria?”
” Hmm, You have so many girls with you. Maybe you got bored with girls of Xia Country and want to change taste?”

Maria’s expression changed when she heard Jun Ronghua.

Sunshine Auction is one of the better auction houses in San Atlantis City. It’s the place where one can purchase many regional and international treasures.
As Jun Tianyun and Maria arrived there, they received special VIP treatment from the auction house.
” So actually, What’s our identity here? Like our backing?” Jun Tianyun sat beside Maria as he asked her.
” The Veneto Family operates under the Fleur De Royale Company. The Seawind Corp is one of its branch.” Maria explained. ” In the San Atlantis City, our influence is still within the top five, if not the top.”

Jun Tianyun was curious as he received a pocket watch from Maria. ” What’s this? Some sort of identification token?”
” Yes, It is. There are only five of them in the entire world. Each made with a special method so there is no worry about forgery.” Maria replied with a smile.
” With this, you can easily use any resources of Veneto Family or Dark Phoenix Guild. I have already informed everyone about this sixth pocket watch.”
” Haha, You are truly resourceful, Sister Maria.” Jun Tianyun nodded. ” I shall keep it with me.”
” Ah, Look, The auction is starting.” Maria pointed at the auction.
” Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the Sunshine Auction.” A man walked out holding a black cane with a diamond top.

As the items appeared, Jun Tianyun waited till the Scarab Bracelet appeared. It came as the fourth item, raising a few interests.
” Two hundred thousand dollars.”
Jun Tianyun simply raised the price from fifty thousand dollars. Maria remained seated at her place, looking at the Scarab Bracelet.
” Three hundred thousand dollars?”
Jun Tianyun raised his brows as he turned around, looking at the bidder. His eyes squinted when he noticed a familiar figure.

The first one was Cecile, who was sitting with her mother. The second one was Bary Burton, who was sitting far in the commoner’s seat.
The bid was made by Cecile’s mother, making Jun Tianyun intrigued.

With his Eyes of Fortune, Jun Tianyun could see a faint violet halo on the gauntlet. He could also see an agitated expression on Barry’s face.
” Hundred thousand dollars!”
Jun Tianyun simply raised the bid from ten thousand dollars to a hundred thousand again. Everyone stared at him with awe as he swept another item.
The rest of the items were mildly interesting for Jun Tianyun. But he didn’t purchase anything anymore.
After the auction ended, there was a small banquet for the rich clients.
” Young Master, Is there anything special in that bracelet?” Maria asked curiously.
” Sister Maria, do you know about ancient magical tools?”
” Magical treasures?” Maria was surprised. ” Hmm, I know about them.”

” Ugh, And now you are bidding against him.” Cecile pouted.
” Oh…Oh my, That’s pretty…rude I guess?” The lady was startled. ” I suddenly had a strange urge to purchase that bracelet. If I knew it was Johnathan who was bidding, I wouldn’t have bid.”
” That’s alright, Miss.” Jun Tianyun smiled. ” It’s an auction after all.”
” However, Your complexion looks good. I believe you have been recovering well?”
” Indeed, Thanks to you, I have been well.” Cecile’s mother sighed. ” No more nightmares or depressing episodes. It’s truly terrifying to think someone would curse me.”
However, As they were talking, they suddenly heard clamor from the other side.

Three flashbangs flashed in the room, making everyone blinded for a few moments. Smoke filled the room as there were sounds of gunshots.

A group of masked men rushed inside as they pointed the gun at everyone.

Screams echoed through the banquet as the guests tried to escape. However, the gate was guarded by two masked men, who were holding guns too.
” Damn it! You bastards!”
A group of guards rushed forward, trying to take down the robbers. However, The robbers simply pointed a device at them as it created a high pitch noise.

” Arrgh! My ears!”
” My head…Ugh! It’s…Buzzing!”
The robbers moved, quickly subduing the guards. They pulled out jet injector and made the guards fall asleep.
” Now hand over the treasures and money, Else we will kill you all!”
A man wearing a demon mask walked forward as he pointed his gun at the crowd.
” Hmm, Using sonic blast to disorient metahuman guards, how efficient.” Jun Tianyun chuckled.
” Young Master is kneen.” Maria nodded.
” Not to mention, the smoke gas is actually a type of suppression, which would make metahumans and mutant ability suppress.”
