Chapter 204: Entering the Lion’s Den
The flight home was a long one, but it was far from tiresome or unenjoyable. Alex had the company of his many beautiful women by his side, minus Claire and Olivia who stayed on the island to maintain its glory along with all the other staff members.
The first stop was Seoul, whereupon landing Alex briefly departed the aircraft, and gave each of his women from the region a hug and kiss. He also surprised them all with a very specific gift. During his time on his private island, he had purchased a large plot of land, where he was building a mega mansion for them all to reside in together while awaiting his return.
Though it was incomplete at the moment, soon enough Alex’s Korean harem would be able to live a luxurious life in one palace like abode, and during this time Alex would try his best to return to them as often as possible.
Sakura was pretty much the only one of Alex’s women who was actually in tears over his departure. But she got over it soon enough, and before long Alex and his American women took to the skies once more to fly back to the American city of Las Vegas.
After another long flight, the group landed, where Alex shocked them all by announcing he had other business to attend to. Instead, he bade them farewell much in the same manner he had done to his women from Korea before taking flight once more to the Mexican city of Nuevo Laredo.
This was perhaps the shortest flight Alex had since his journey home began, and he was thoroughly exhausted by the time he stepped out of the airport. The moment he did so, the man received a phone call from a familiar number, which he cautiously accepted.
“Welcome to Nuevo Laredo. It ain’t Paris, but I’m sure you will thoroughly enjoy your stay here…”
The seductive and playful voice that Alex heard was one he instantly recognized. He was quick to respond to the woman with a stern expression on his face.
The ultra feminine voice responded in an equally entertained and seductive manner, as she called Alex an endearing term.
“Oh Mi hijo, I know everything that goes on in Nuevo Laredo, including who enters and exits my domain, and when they do so. I decided to wait until just after you passed through customs to call you, though.
Don’t worry about a thing, there is a driver just outside the airport who is ready to take you to me. You will recognize him by the sign he is holding that has your name on it. Enjoy the drive kiddo, because after you arrive, you and I are going to get properly acquainted…”
As much as the woman might like to speak to Alex as if she were a temptress, Alex knew he had to save her for last, thus he sighed and hung up on the mature beauty, before walking out of the airport with his bag behind him.
Surely enough, there was a Mexican man dressed in a purple paisley silk shirt that had its sleeves rolled and its collar popped open, as well as a pair of slacks and dress shoes that went with it well. This man was wearing what Alex assumed was gold plated sunglasses, and was smoking a cigar with a sign leaning against his leg.
When he saw Alex, he quickly pointed towards the sign before asking if Alex was the man he was sent to pick up.
“Oi gringo, you Alex Smith?”
Alex looked at the man as if he were the most stereotypical cartel employee he had ever seen before, nodding his head and greeting the man.
“That I am, and you are?”
The man smirked and tossed the sign onto the street as if it were mere refuse before hopping into the driver’s seat of his Lamborghini spyder, which was the same color as his shirt.
“Get in kid, I’ll introduce myself on the way to the compound!”
Alex sighed and did as he was told, where the mysterious driver took off at record speeds towards their destination. As promised, he quickly introduced himself, all while smoking in one hand and driving with the other.
“The name’s Miguel, I’m Selena’s brother… For whatever reason she usually tasks me with the grunt work like this…”
Alex looked over at the man with a bit of confusion in his eyes, not that it could be seen due to the fact that he was currently wearing sunglasses, but the tone in his voice definitely gave it away.
“Selena?”
Miguel looked at Alex with a bit of shock on his face before expressing his own confusion aloud.
“Shit, she summoned you all the way out here and you don’t even know her fucking name? I’m talking about La Madre pendejo! Dios mío, estás tan jodido!”
Perhaps if Alex hadn’t been given the ability [Universal Translator] he would have no clue what the man said at the end there, but because of this unique ability he could comprehend any language known to man, thus he quickly reprimanded the man who was clearly a high-ranking member of the cartel, and without realizing it he did so in Spanish.
“Hey motherfucker, I speak Spanish, so don’t be talking shit to me behind my back in your fucking language, alright?”
This comment surprised the man so much he nearly swerved into oncoming traffic. But after regaining control of the wheel, he looked over at Alex and back at the road, before looking back at Alex again, where he wore a shit-eating grin before expressing his thoughts aloud in his native tongue.
“Gringos now speak Spanish? What the hell is this world coming to? Alright fine, listen. Selena is in a particularly good mood because she thinks you have the skills to help us with our little problem. But if I were you, I would find a way not to get involved. This is bloody business. Nothing an outsider like you should get involved with. By the way, just a heads up, but we’re about to go through a checkpoint, just play it cool and let me do the talking”
Sure enough, the car came to a stop in the middle of the road, where several trucks that had heavy machine guns mounted on top had set up a roadblock. The men guarding the station looked like soldier except for the fact that their plate carriers did not have any identifiable flag patches on them, rather one large patch that said the word “Zetas”.
Try as he might, Alex couldn’t help but observe the weapons these men wielded which were a mixture of AR-15s that had been modified with what Alex liked to call the “fun switch” and some other weapons probably illegally imported from abroad such as FNCs, AKMs, among others.
Still, Alex succeeded in acting like he did not speak a lick of Spanish and was just a passenger. Not that it really mattered, because all Miguel needed was to identify himself, and the heavily armed guard let him pass right through the checkpoint. He then explained to Alex what it was all about.
“Sorry about that. You can’t be too careful these days. They’re not on the lookout for civilians like you, but rather rival cartels and Federales. Anyway, we are just about there. I should warn you though, my sister may be getting on in years, but she is still an incredibly beautiful woman.
So, a word to the wise gringo, even though Selena may have a flirtatious personality, whatever you do, do not reciprocate. She is called “La Madre” for a reason, and if any of the Zetas catch you being inappropriate with their mother….”
Though Miguel cut off his warning prematurely, he made a gesture with his index finger towards his neck that got the point across towards Alex. Thus, Alex nodded his head before responding that he had indeed got the message.
“I got it. I won’t say a word more than necessary.”
This, of course, just made Alex feel anxious, because his goal was indeed to not only get in the pants of this female drug lord nicknamed “La Madre” but also to conquer her heart. How he would manage to do such a thing when the entire cartel treated her like their beloved mother. Alex had no fucking idea.
But these were troubles he would have to worry about later. For now, Alex needed to buy himself time. Time to meet the other heroines, and get some perspective on their personalities. Time to see whether he should join the fight against the CJNG, or stay as an outsider. And to do that, he would first need to meet with “La Madre” who would no doubt try her very best to entice him into her service.
One thing was certain, the Queen of Hearts was right when she said Alex would be walking into the Lion’s Den. Whether or not he would even survive this initial encounter with a ruthless drug lord, that had yet to be seen.
