I suddenly found myself within darkness.
This wasn’t the internal space that my Spirit Orb has, not at all. This place was more like… a nightmare.
It felt like one, as it had nightmare essence everywhere. I might be experiencing one for the first time since I was reincarnated.
And in front of me, a large eye emerged.
“You’re the demon arm, right?”
“I don’t even have a name, but I know I am stronger than you. I won’t let you control me!”
“Huh? I made you.”
“That you made me or not, it does not matter! I am overflowing with strength! With this power… I won’t let you control me… I will take over your amazing body and your strength and make it all mine!”
“You’re as greedy as I expected a demon to be.”
“Silence! I will devour your will and your mind, so I can take over it!”
The enormous eye suddenly opened a horizontal and quite sharp jaw, flying towards me and attempting to devour my mind through a nightmare.
CLASH!
As his jaws reached me, I stopped them with my arms as if nothing.
“Ungh?!”
“I am not someone you can defy.”
BAAM!
I kicked the eye into the air, making it fly across the nightmare scape.
“Uuggh?! H-How can your mind be stronger than that of a demon?!”
The eye roared back at me, attempting to devour me again.
“You see… I am not really a child.”
TRUUUM…!
With a peaceful strike of my palm, the eye was struck down, falling into the invisible ground.
“Uungh…!”
“Do you want to see… Who I truly am? You’re one of the first bold ones to dare peek at my very mind in this world after all. Let me… reward you for such an accomplishment of bravery.”
“H-Huh?!”
In a second, I showed the demonic arm’s will what truly I was.
Darkness spread out and began to twist and move.
This entire darkness, in a mere moment, turned into me.
I disappeared from his sight, as countless eyes began staring down at him.
Blood red light started to spread, illuminating the obscurity.
The sound of slimy flesh twisting constantly made the demon’s will grow weaker, as his size turned smaller each second.
“A-Ahhh… W-What… what are you?!”
In front of him, what looked to be an enormous mass of endless twisting flesh, tentacles, and countless eyes appeared.
“I am merely showing a small part of the true appearance of my mind. Are you satisfied now, little one?”
“Unngh…! No…! NO!!!”
“You’re merely my tool. Obey me.”
“Ugh…! Stop… Stop!”
I began to encroach the mind of this demonic arm. It wasn’t so hard, as he ended getting inside of my mind to begin with. When things ended, he was so scared he couldn’t even look at me, his eyeball-like body prostrated itself into the ground.
“I-I am sorry for defying my lord! Please forgive me!”
“Hoh? Are you really sorry?”
“I am prepared for any punishment…”
“Just promise me that you won’t defy me, nor speak to me through the arm unless I give you the authorization.”
“I do… I promise!”
“Very well…”
I extended a tentacle, petting the eyeball.
“As long as you behave like the dog you are, there won’t be any punishments. Join me and devour with me, but never dare do anything out of your scope, or you’ll regret it.”
“Y-Yes…!”
“Hm… Alright.”
And with that, I woke up, finding myself sleeping over the stone table with some blankets over me. Eleanora was also resting inside of my Spirit Orb, but quickly came out when she sensed me.
“You fell asleep for three hours!”
“Oh… Well, now I feel more revitalized than ever.”
“Geez! What you did was very reckless, stop being so reckless for power!”
“That’s how I am. Even in this life, I cannot change this.”
“Sigh… What am I going to do with you?”
Eleanora seemed to always be worried about me. Even in our previous life, she was the one that took care of my back. I can understand that what I did right now made her probably remember these times.
“I am sorry for my recklessness.”
“Eh? T-That’s… Well, I am glad you’re sorry. You don’t need to be so sorry though…”
“I shouldn’t had worried you this much.”
“Y-Yeah, you should had not…”
Eleanora began to blush as red as a tomato.
“For now, let’s go back home. I’ve successfully tamed this arm anyways.” I said, breaking the seals. “You can speak now, greet Eleanora.”
“Dog greets Master Eleanora…!”
“D-Dog?!”
“Ah… I never gave him a proper name, I just called him dog.”
“Dog for a name is a bit unfitting but… I guess it is well tamed now.”
Eleanora inspected the arm, which looked like any ordinary one except it grew an eye and a mouth in the palm of the hand.
“What other name do you suggest?” I wondered.
“Name?! I am not good with those…” Eleanora sighed.
“Well, we can think about it in the meantime, no need to rush the name of a mere arm. Now, keep yourself shut until I give you the command of speaking.” I told the arm.
“Understood…!”
The arm quickly went back to normal.
“Let’s go back home for now, my family should be worried… It is already past lunch time.”
“Yeah…!”
I swiftly moved back home and received a good scolding of my parents for not having told them I would be coming later this day. I brought a few monster corpses to make it seem as if I went to hunt, and then ultimately ended enjoying dinner with family. Today’s dinner was boar meat stew with potatoes and carrots. The boar meat was truly delicious, so we enjoyed it thoroughly. Boar meat was rare nowadays, but we had saved a lot for the incoming winter by drying it out.
I decided to merely sleep for the night at home, without any night activities, I had already done more than enough for the week and wanted to rest and dedicate myself to readjust my Summons for more stats.
