It took Emilia a moment to realize that perhaps Dixie had already caught onto the fact that she didn't stay at home after her knight had dropped her off. Despite herself, she couldn't help but feel a little guilty. "Um… Crystal's place?"
Dixie's mood immediately turned from bad to worse. Why was it her?! That girl clearly had all the wrong feelings for her princess! Who knew what kind of crime she will commit if they are left alone?
Forget about being unable to protect her, what if she wasn't there when she needed protection the most? As a faithful knight of her princess, Dixie couldn't stomach the thought at all. "Why didn't you take me along? Even if you call me in the middle of the night, you know I'll be there right away!"
Emilia hated making excuses when she didn't need to, so she decided that since she was 'caught', she might as well come clean, so to speak. "I just felt like meeting her today, I guess? If you want you can come as well, but—"
For the first time since they've known each other, Dixie actually cut her off mid-sentence, because she knew Emilia was going to actually tell her not to come next. "I'll be there right away!"
Emilia stared blankly at the 'Call Disconnected' before she finally shook her head with a smile. Even if she overdid it a little at times, Emilia couldn't help but think that her knight's overprotective nature was a little endearing.

Dixie's driver was sure that he had broken several laws due to this bossy little girl's attitude today, but thankfully they arrived at their destination in one piece.
Of course, since the three 'culprits' were also there at that time, Dixie had ended up dragging them along to apologize in person.
Once the three girls left, the driver slammed his forehead against the steering wheel. "Shit! Why did no one tell me I was going to be a stunt driver?!"
Meanwhile, Amos was still anxiously wondering when the love of his life would finally kick out that obnoxious villainess. But he couldn't help but gape when he saw not one, but four girls that looked almost identical from behind as they rushed up the stairs. 'Why do they look suspiciously similar to the one who's always sticking to that villainess?'
The more he thought about it, the more worried he became. 'With her still being upstairs, it's definitely her lackey and her clones! Shit, to think that these villains are even doing something so evil and despicable like this!'
Amos had always known that it wasn't impossible to 'clone' people, although there was still some progress to be made for it to become a reality. But he felt that even if it became scientifically possible, it would still remain ethically wrong.
The hero believed that the creation of life was a sacred thing. No one should interfere with the matters of life and death.
Amos knew that most people would disagree with him on this matter, but he believed that even the doctors saving people from the brink of death was ethically wrong. Even his own mother had died in the hospital, and no one managed to save her then, right?
The hero thought that perhaps only the most evil and vile people would think that messing with the laws of creation was something sane to do. 'But I guess it makes sense for that bitch and her family to be involved in something like this. Just you wait, one day, you'll pay for all your sins!'
He kept his ears standing as he listened for any signs of conflict from upstairs, just in case that bitch really lost her mind and decided to assault the love of his life. Unfortunately, the restaurant wasn't particularly quiet, and he couldn't make out anything at all.
In the end, the hero couldn't help it and decided to go up and see for himself.
Just as he moved towards the stairs, however, he was stopped by the restaurant staff, a young man in his early twenties with clear eyes.
The waiter had long since kept his eye on this boy, thinking that he looked quite weird with his bandaged up head. And he only got more suspicious as the boy continued staying there for hours.
Unfortunately, every thirty minutes or so, the boy would make a small order of coffee or cake, and the waiter couldn't ask him to leave for staying too long without ordering either.
He thought that as long as the boy didn't create any trouble, it was fine to just keep an eye on him.
The young waiter noticed right away when the boy tried making his way upstairs. He didn't know whether the boy was just a curious lunatic, or someone with a more nefarious purpose, but he had to stop him regardless. "Sorry sir, that area is off-limits for the guests."
The hero couldn't help but frown tightly at the unexpected hindrance. "I literally just saw four people rush up there, and you didn't stop them. What the hell are you doing stopping me, then?"
The waiter shrugged. He of course recognized the girl who was probably classmates with the owner's daughter, and the others were with her, so of course he didn't stop them. "Like I said, that area is off-limits."
Anyway, the boy's behavior only cemented his image as an unhinged fool in the waiter's mind.
Maybe if the hero calmly explained that he was a 'classmate' of the owner's daughter, the newly hired waiter really would hesitate. Unfortunately, Amos was far too focused on the thought that the love of his life might be in trouble right now, and every moment lost here could mean being too late to her rescue.
Seeing how he didn't intend to budge at all, Amos couldn't help but grit his teeth and push him away forcefully. "Fuck off!"
The waiter collapsed on the ground with an 'oof' as the others finally noticed the commotion, but the 'hero' had already dashed out of their sight and into the private quarters of the restaurant owner by that time.
