Of course, even among the Nightingale clan, few had such beautifully lustrous silver hair as ‘Bozo’, and none of them were blessed with such clear, sharp silver eyes. Just one look at them had left her dazzled when she first saw him, and she almost couldn’t believe it when she heard that the boy had come off the streets.
Weren’t people like that the worst in the world according to her mother? How could they look so good, then?
Later on, once she learned that the boy was actually from their own clan, it finally made some sense, though the incident did make her rethink some of the ‘facts’ that she had taken for granted after listening to her mother.
As for Bozo… based on appearance alone, he did have the capital for being so arrogant, so she didn’t really mind. Regardless of his previously homeless background, he could easily be a model or something, and earn both fame and fortune, couldn’t he?
Of course, she didn’t have any unrealistic fantasies about starting a family with the boy. After all, even if he looked good now, that would quickly change if her mother found out and beat the boy’s face into a pig’s, wouldn’t it?
Her father’s cold snort quickly made the girl snap back to reality. “Gilli, have we been too lenient recently? If you can’t think of anything smart to say, can’t you at least learn to be quiet?”
Getting an approving nod from his wife, the husband only had a moment to feel proud before the teary eyes of his daughter doused him with guilt.
He couldn’t help but cough awkwardly, torn between wanting to make his wife happier, but still not wanting to hurt his daughter. “W-What I mean is that you’re just too innocent. These politicians are all snakes who say one thing and do another, regardless of which country they are from and what party they are in.”
Gilli’s mother snorted in displeasure. “The problem isn’t the politicians, dear, but the leeches who glorify themselves while leading those tiny and crappy ‘countries’, thinking they’re oh so amazing when they’re really not even worthy of shining the shoes of a salary man in our Carmen country.”
Her husband nodded furiously in agreement, inwardly breathing a sigh of relief as his wife’s target shifted to someone he could easily point fingers at without guilt. “Right? Those bastards are the worst!”
Amos couldn’t help but nod along absently at the man’s words, though only Mr. Black and the ‘daughter’ noticed, while the ‘parents’ remained completely oblivious to his opinions.
Of course, while Mr. Black was already aware of his son’s disgust for Emilia, the young girl was clearly uncomfortable with her recent discoveries, especially after being derided by her parents.
“They brainwash and make all the peasants worship them, but in reality, they are so disgusting and selfish that I can’t even…!”
Seeing her daughter squirm squeamishly, the lady waved at her husband to shut him up as she frowned in displeasure. “Sit straight, girl!”
She nodded slightly in approval when the girl stiffened immediately, though her displeased frown still remained on her face. “As a daughter of our prestigious family, I have to say, your recent behavior has been somewhat concerning. Wouldn’t you agree?”
Seeing his daughter’s pitiful and confused look, the husband coughed. “I-I’m sure she didn’t mean it, dear. You know our daughter is a little slow sometimes, so let’s just—”
“I’m done looking past it every time, and then being disgraced in front of all the other ladies by her behavior!”
Her outburst immediately stunned both the husband and daughter, and she continued with a sneer. “Tell me, where did you learn all this drivel that came out of your mouth today?”
It was precisely because she didn’t want her daughter to learn strange nonsense that she had her homeschooled, and given that the girl had neither a cell phone nor internet access. So the only way she could have been corrupted like this… was through someone’s manipulation.
The furious mother already had a pretty good guess, but she still wanted to make her daughter say it.

It’s not strange for her to lose her mind and believe the drivel of a pretty girl on the internet, but I’m sure our daughter won’t believe that nonsense anymore after we—!”
Having already detested the girl ever since she disregarded her advice for taming her ‘wild’ hair, the lady became even more furious when she saw how adamant her husband was in defending the girl. “She’s a degenerate is what she is! The training regimen of girls and boys is different for a reason, but that buffoon Heather trains like a man, and you still can’t see the truth? Are you waiting for her to propose to our daughter to open your stupid eyes?!”
The husband quickly shook his head in denial, and was just about to try and placate his wife when they were both shocked by a shattering sound from their daughter’s side.
“S-Stop badmouthing her! So what if she likes girls?!”
Even Mr. Black knew that the girl had fucked up, but he still failed to foresee what happened next.
When porcelain crashed into the girl’s head and blood bloomed like a short-lived, beautiful flower, for a moment he still believed that while his ‘niece’ had really lost it, it still had nothing to do with him or his son.
It was only a few moments later that Mr. Black realized that something wasn’t quite right, and all blood drain from his face.
