Chapter 5: Gift

Ling You returned home with Sprigatito, and as soon as he sat on the sofa, his phone chimed with a message notification.

Ling You picked up his phone and before he could even look at it, he saw that his mother was calling. Ling You thought it was a good opportunity to introduce Sprigatito to his parents, so he picked up Sprigatito, placed her on his lap, and then answered the call.

“Thank you, Abra,” Ling You took the package and thanked Abra. Immediately, the idea of testing the Pokedex came to mind. “Sprigatito, please!”

“Meow~”

Sprigatito nodded, extended her small paw, and cut open the sealed tape. The Trainer and his Pokemon squatted by the roadside, curiously staring at the box, which contained two beautifully packaged boxes and a bank card. Ling You first put the bank card into his pocket, then opened one of the packages.

Inside was a brand new rotom phone. Ling You took out the rotom phone and turned it on. The rotom phone only had a few programs. First was the Pokedex system, followed by the data system, photo system, and other basic phone functions.

At the bottom of the screen was a circular shortcut button. By holding down the shortcut button and pointing the camera at a Pokemon, the Pokedex could be quickly used.

Ling You raised his hand, pointed the rotom phone at Abra, and pressed the shortcut button. Abra’s data immediately appeared on the rotom phone.

After all, you couldn’t just scan an opponent’s Pokemon in battle and know their entire setup; that would be too much cheating. Even if the rotom phone could do it, that part of the program was blocked.
