The more well-known temple treasures of Kongobuji Temple include the "Painting of Amitabha Saints Welcoming Him", the statues of the Five Great Powers Bodhisattvas, the statue of the Peacock King, etc. Kongobuji Temple stores these temple treasures in a large hall that is not open to the public. The main hall is hidden among the mountains and forests, surrounded by lush grass, with only a small winding path leading to it. Two monks in their fifties are sitting cross-legged at the gate guarding it. "What's your cultivation level?" The Bodhisattva of the Dragon King Roar, holding the Golden Wheel Lamp, goes to protect that country. The fearless Ten-Power Roaring Bodhisattva, holding a vajra in his hand, goes to protect that country.
The Bodhisattva of Thunder and Lightning, holding a net of thousands of treasures, goes to protect that country. The Bodhisattva of Infinite Power, holding five thousand sword wheels, goes to protect that country. The five statues of the Five Great Powers Bodhisattvas before you are truly Bodhisattva statues that possess the charm of Buddhism. Standing and observing closely, they are like real living Bodhisattvas. Just standing like this gives people a powerful invisible sense of oppression. Practitioners with weak minds will feel fear, timidity and uneasiness at the first sight of the statues of the Five Powerful Bodhisattvas, and will find it difficult to use the statues of the Five Powerful Bodhisattvas to assist in their practice. If you are determined and overcome your timidity and fear, you can gain a lot just by looking at the Bodhisattva statue. You can learn the Vajra Flesh Body Method from the Vajra Roar Bodhisattva statue. You can learn how to control thunder from the statue of Thunder and Lightning Bodhisattva. If you have enough talent, you can gain something. This is the temple treasure that has been kept in Kongobuji Temple for hundreds of years, and it has unimaginable power. Pinggong Qianye sat quietly in front of the statue of the Five Great Powers Bodhisattva, his body like Acalanatha, immovable as a mountain. He was observing the Buddhist rhythm of the statues of the Five Powerful Bodhisattvas and wanted to visualize the Five Powerful Bodhisattvas and use their help to bless himself. This is a practice that surpasses the Vajra Body. His Vajra body had almost reached the end, and at this moment he did not feel any difficulty in observing the statues of the Five Great Powers Bodhisattvas. Unlike other practitioners who need to be timid, his physique can fully withstand the blessings of the Five Powerful Bodhisattvas. There is no need to select one great power Bodhisattva to observe, but rather observe all five great power Bodhisattvas in your heart. For example, Takeda Saburo, his talent and physique were limited. Just practicing a statue of Western Guangmu Zuntianwang had exhausted him, and he hadn't even finished it. If he were allowed to practice the methods of the Five Great Powers Bodhisattvas directly, his body would most likely be crushed, and even his spirit would be suppressed by the Five Great Powers Bodhisattvas, causing him to go astray. It is impossible to accomplish this. The reason why Pinggong Qianye chose to visualize the Five Great Power Bodhisattvas first was to use the power of the Five Great Power Bodhisattvas to enhance his own strength in a short period of time, so that he would have a better chance of winning when facing Master Du Chen. As Monk Kuninaka said, in Koyasan, cultivation is the most important thing. If he wants to overwhelm the monk with force, the Five Great Powers Bodhisattvas are his best choice at this stage. Pinggong Qianye visualized the complete five great Bodhisattvas. He did not visualize all five Bodhisattvas in one breath, but began his visualization practice from Vajra Roar Bodhisattva. Next are the Dragon King’s Roar Bodhisattva, the Fearless Ten Powers Roar Bodhisattva, the Thunder and Lightning Roar Bodhisattva, and the Infinite Power Roar Bodhisattva. It took a lot of time to visualize a complete statue of the Five Powerful Bodhisattvas. It was not until night fell and the bright moon was at the zenith that Pinggong Qianye successfully visualized the first statue of Vajra Roar Bodhisattva. This was because he had successfully cultivated the Vajra Body, and when he visualized Vajra Roar Bodhisattva, he had some reference to help him, so he was able to achieve success so quickly. Outside the main hall, Monk Guo Zhong had been accompanying Pinggong Qianye here since around 1pm. It was already 10pm, and no sound was coming from the main hall, which showed that Pinggong Qianye should have entered some kind of state of practice. "Yin Neng, you go back first. We two will guard this place." An old monk said.
"Yes, Uncle Fajie." Monk Guozhong bowed his head respectfully, took one last look at the hall, and then turned and left. "What a young monk with a deep affinity for Buddhism." "Where do you think he is standing and observing now?" "It should be the statue of the Peacock King. He has a faint aura of the Acala King. His attainments in this area are very deep, not inferior to those of some old monks." "I think so, but this little monk gives me a special feeling. Maybe he will give us a surprise." Among the temple treasures collected in Kongobuji Temple, the statue of Peacock King is the easiest to achieve success in spiritual practice. Monks at Kongobuji Temple who have the opportunity to enter the main hall will almost always choose to start from the statue of Peacock King. The statues of the Five Powerful Bodhisattvas have great powers. It is difficult to cultivate them unless one is born with excellent physique, and the risk is the greatest during the practice. The contemporary abbot of Fa Neng once cultivated a statue of the Thunder and Lightning Bodhisattva, but the Thunder and Lightning method is fierce and overbearing, which can hurt both the enemy and oneself. This led to Fa Neng going into seclusion due to his serious injuries, hoping to use the "Nirvana Diagram" to heal his injuries. As for the "Picture of Amitabha Saints Coming to Welcoming Him", it is the most mysterious and unfathomable, and one cannot comprehend it without great wisdom. The next day, Monk Guozhong finished his morning lessons and came with vegetarian food. In addition to the vegetarian meals for his two uncle masters, he also brought a vegetarian meal for Pinggong Qianye. But from 9 . to 12 noon, there was still no movement in the hall. "Is nothing going to happen?" "That's a good thing." The monk Fajie smiled and comforted the monk Guozhong, asking him to be at ease. He guessed that this young monk must have entered a state of enlightenment during his practice and his mind was completely immersed in the Buddhist teachings. It is normal not to leave the temple for three days. It's only one day. On the third day, Monk Guozhong came again with a food box, but still did not see Pinggong Qianye. On the fourth day, Monk Guozhong also wanted to come, but was delayed by other things and could only ask his disciples to bring food.
