Lin Zitian cupped his hands to Huangpu Qingyun in joy, “I wouldn’t dare. This is something I should be doing anyway. For the second young master to grant me this honor is enough.”
Huangpu Qingyun’s words revealed how much importance he gave himself. Lin Zitian was overjoyed Merry Woods now had a powerful backer.
“But second young master…” 5th elder spoke with revulsion. Though his face had an understanding smile when turned to Huangpu Qingyun.
As if the second young master cared about this pawn called Lin Zitian! He was only used as bait to see what other tricks Zhuo Fan had up his sleeves.

Startled, 5th elder didn’t understand, “Second young master, we won’t be able to save him even if we do join.”

Huangpu Qingyun already bolted with the 5th elder laughing right behind him.
Zhuo Fan had long guessed their plan and his mouth perked into a peculiar smile.

Just when they were about to clash, Zhuo Fan used Mystifying Phantom Step again, only to appear behind Lin Zitian.

Huangpu Qingyun and 5th elder stopped in shock. Zhuo Fan’s cackle came from behind Lin Zitian, “Ha-ha-ha, your plan was for me to waste time on this idiot, right? You counted your chickens too soon!”
“Damn it, he figured it out!” Huangpu Qingyun scowled.
Long Jiu’s group now realized as well. Lin Zitian wasn’t there to attack Zhuo Fan, but to stall him enough for the other two to catch up.
It was clearly out of Lin Zitian’s intentions, ending up used by Huangpu Qingyun.

Finding Huangpu Qingyun and 5th elder stock still from the corner of his eye, Zhuo Fan grinned. Killing intent flared in his eyes and thrust at Lin Zitian.
Huangpu Qingyun was filled with regret.
Who knew Lin Zitian was so thickheaded, still in pursuit? If they knew, they wouldn’t have stopped. Now, however, it was too late to go after him again. All they could do was watch Lin Zitian throw away his life for nothing.
Lin Zitian didn’t seem afraid of the 6th-grade demonic treasure coming for his life. He even had time to mock, “Brat, don’t you know power is useless when you can’t even land a hit?”

All around looked at Lin Zitian with newfound respect. His figure never looked so imposing.
Despite all that, Lin Zitian sneakily put his hand behind him and rubbed the pain away as he sucked a cold breath.
