In the restaurant, at a table next to the window.
Tang Hao and Qin Xiangyi sat next to each other, while Qin Gang and Zhao Changfeng sat opposite them.
The two men’s faces were grim as they looked at Tang Hao with hostility and condescension.
In their eyes, that kid must have scammed Xiangyi of her money and started a shell company with it.
“Let me ask you, Xiangyi. What company is that? Did you put any money in it?” Qin Gang said sternly.

“Let me ask you, Tang kid, what does your company do?” Qin Gang asked sternly as he glared at Tang Hao.
Tang Hao was not angry. He allowed his future brother-in-law to have his day.
“We develop healthcare products. We’ve recently launched a weight-loss potion,” Tang Hao answered.
“Weight-loss potion? Hah! That must be a scam product! Why would you do something like that? Be careful that you’ll lose all your money! You ought to be careful with money that’s not your own.” Qin Gang smirked.
Zhao Changfeng next to him also smirked. “That’s right. There’s no prospect in weight-loss potions. A small fry company like yours should be shuttering in a matter of days.
“Let me tell you, not everyone is qualified to run a company. If you’re uneducated, your company will go bankrupt soon. I’m also running my own company. Do you know how much my company made last year?
“One hundred million yuan!” Zhao Changfeng boasted as he stuck out a finger.
“A small fry company like yours would need decades before earning a hundred million yuan,” Zhao Changfeng became even more self-satisfied as he spoke.
He lifted his chin and looked arrogant.
A waiter came to their table.
Zhao Changfeng picked up the menu and browsed through it. He ordered several items in English.
After the waiter left, Zhao Changfeng smirked. “You didn’t understand that, right? Even if you did, you must’ve never had it before. It’s my treat today.”
Then, he turned to look at Qin Xiangyi and put on a hospitable smile.
“Xiangyi, I’ve fallen in love with you ever since I met you, and I’ve been thinking about you since. I’ve prepared something special for you today,” Zhao Changfeng said romantically.
He retrieved a long, black box from his coat pocket.
Tang Hao rolled his eyes when he saw that. That person was brazenly courting his girlfriend, as though he did not exist!
Tang Hao smiled curiously when he saw the long black box.
“Xiangyi, this present represents my love for you,” Zhao Changfeng said pretentiously as he opened the box.
A diamond necklace rested within the box. It glimmered with an array of colors under the sunlight.
To be honest, it was quite exquisite.
Several diamonds were embedded in the necklace. It should cost at least a few hundred thousand yuan.
“I’ve custom-made this necklace for you. Look at these diamonds, they’re half a carat each. The diamonds alone cost more than three hundred thousand yuan. A master jeweler crafted the necklace, and that multiplies the value of this necklace by several times. It should cost at least a million yuan on the market!” Zhao Changfeng boasted while glaring at Tang Hao.
“This is yours, Xiangyi! Only you deserve to be adorned with this exquisite necklace!” Zhao Changfeng stood up from his seat and lifted the necklace in the air.
His speech earlier had attracted the attention of many. Many women exclaimed in surprise when they saw the necklace. Their faces displayed intense admiration.
Zhao Changfeng became even more self-satisfied when he heard the gasps of awe around him.
He did not expect a cold rejection the next moment. “I can’t accept something like that from you!”
Zhao Changfeng’s face stiffened. He stood there, at a loss of a reply.
He had thought that Xiangyi would have been moved by the necklace and realized how much better he was compared to Tang Hao. The instant rejection had shattered his fantasies.
His face twitched and he wore a scary expression.
“Why? What’s so good about this boy toy? He scams you of your money and relies on you. What’s so good about a guy like this?” Zhao Changfeng roared. His expression was savage.
“A guy like him is useless scum. Look at this. Do you think he can afford to give you such an expensive present? I don’t think he can afford a present worth a thousand yuan if he’s not using your money.”
His outburst had attracted the attention of everyone in the restaurant.
Some people furrowed their brows, while others looked toward the direction of Zhao Changfeng’s finger and looked at Tang Hao with disdain.
Everyone thought that a man who relied on a woman’s money was useless.
They then focused their gazes on Qin Xiangyi next to him and collectively gasped.
All the men showed expressions of indignation as they looked at the couple with admiration and envy.

“You… Zhao Changfeng!” Qin Xiangyi straightened her brows. She slammed the table and was about to stand up.

He could only find it funny that a boy toy could boast that his million-yuan diamond necklace was trash.

Even Qin Gang burst out laughing. That kid was too much of a boast. The typical person would not be able to afford a million-yuan diamond necklace. Only hundred-millionaires would dare give a present of that value on their first date!
People sitting all around them also started laughing.
“Alright, if you think that my present is trash, I’d like to see what you give her!” Zhao Changfeng smirked.
“Then you’d better watch closely!” Tang Hao said calmly.
Qin Xiangyi furrowed her brows as she looked at Tang Hao.
Tang Hao lifted his hand that had been under the table. A flat, purple wooden box appeared in his hand. It was rectangular in shape and looked quite big.
The three people were surprised. They did not know where Tang Hao pulled the item from. Soon, they ignored that point and focused their attention on the wooden box.
“What kind of trash is this?” Zhao Changfeng chuckled after examining the wooden box. “Let me tell you, don’t try to scam us with some broken garbage.”
Tang Hao did not say anything. He placed the wooden box on the table and pushed it toward Qin Xiangyi.
“Open it!” He said gently.
“This is…” Qin Xiangyi mumbled, then opened the lid of the box.
A clear, green light appeared from within the box.
Everyone was shocked when they saw the contents of the box.
The restaurant fell into a deathly silence.
