And then… Afternoon came.
I went to Ryouma to ask about the spectator seats.
“How did I do?” [Ryouma]
“Good enough.” [Roche]

“It’s convenient, but it’s hard to learn. And for people who don’t have a master to learn from like you had, those teaching Barrier Magic require that their students first be able to cast Intermediate Spells. Only then can they start their training, but the training itself takes a long time.
Also, the services of Barrier Magicians are often enlisted by the rich. Most are hired along with their master, but even if that’s not the case, there are a lot of job openings for them. That’s why there aren’t a lot of magicians who become adventurers after learning barrier magic. After all, they can find a much more stable life by being employed.
In your case, you can already use barrier magic. Even if you’re not that good at it yet, considering your age, you have a bright future ahead of you.
