After a moment, Jiang Nanshu suddenly let out a light laugh, yanked Lu Qingyan’s collar, and made him lower his head to look at her, “Where is she? Actually, I’d like to personally torment her a bit.”
Lu Qingyan smiled, leaned down, and gently kissed Jiang Nanshu’s red lips, “I can’t tell you right now.”
Jiang Nanshu pushed him away and looked at him coldly.
Lu Qingyan’s smile became even more radiant.
“To torment someone, one must never be soft-hearted, Nannan, you’re not ready yet.”
Jiang Nanshu looked at his smile and laughed along.
“I’m actually quite good at tormenting people, do you want to see?”
“Maybe next time, I’m tired today.”
After Lu Qingyan finished speaking, he let go of Jiang Nanshu and walked inside.
Jiang Nanshu followed behind him, her head down in thought, not noticing Lu Qingyan had stopped at the door, nearly bumping into him.
Jiang Nanshu asked, “What’s wrong?”
Following Lu Qingyan’s indifferent gaze, Jiang Nanshu saw a dignified lady sitting on the sofa with a cold expression.
It was Lu Mother, whom Jiang Nanshu had not seen for a long time.
Her eyes swept over them.
Lu Qingyan looked at her without much emotion, “Mother.”
Lu Mother’s gaze shifted to Jiang Nanshu; she had never liked this coarse and impolite daughter of the Jiang Family, let alone to have her as her daughter-in-law. She was filled with disgust from the bottom of her heart.
“Why did you bring this kind of woman back again?”
Lu Qingyan spoke calmly, “Mother, please respect her, she’s my wife.”
“Did I allow that? Did I permit you two to be together? It doesn’t count, the marriage is null and void!” Lu Mother had never liked Jiang Nanshu.
She had been against it from the start.
Her obedient son, who used to listen to her, was the perfect heir that she had raised. Why had he become so unfilial now? It was all Old Sir Lu’s fault for taking away her right to educate her son, all because of this woman’s bewitchment.

Lu Qingyan just quietly looked at her, “We are already married.”

Lu Qingyan looked back at her just as coldly, pulling Jiang Nanshu into his arms with a smile at the corner of his mouth, “I’m afraid I can’t comply.”

Lu Mother, furious, slammed the table, “Lu Qingyan! I am your mother.”
Lu Qingyan merely gave a look to the villa’s servants, who, terrified, pleaded while pulling and dragging, “Madam, please leave. The young master has his own ideas; it’s best not to intervene.”
“Get lost.” Lu Mother pushed the servants away and strode up to Lu Qingyan.
With the speed of lightning, she raised her hand to slap him; Lu Qingyan instinctively protected Jiang Nanshu, but Lu Mother’s target was him.
The loud slap echoed in the hall.
As if relieved, Lu Mother coldly sneered and pushed past Lu Qingyan to leave in large strides.
Lu Qingyan came back to his senses and looked down to see Jiang Nanshu staring at him calmly.
He asked with a smile, “It hurts a bit, do you feel sorry for me?”
Jiang Nanshu pushed him away, stepped over the chaos on the floor, and went upstairs to the guest room.
The ground was littered with things Lu Mother had smashed.
Broken glass was everywhere, and the servants waited until Lu Mother left before they began to clean up, complaining bitterly.
Lu Qingyan had lost count of how many times this had happened.
Every now and then, Lu Mother would come to make a scene here, at the company, forcing him to marry the lady she favored. If he did not agree, she would endlessly make trouble.
But he was powerless, his grandfather was powerless.
Because she was his mother.
Ever since Jiang Nanshu woke up, he had ordered not to let anyone in.
Yet she still got in.
Making a scene right in front of Jiang Nanshu.
The servants, trembling with fear, approached Lu Qingyan to explain, “Young Master, it really wasn’t our intention to let the madam in. She had a knife in her hand and said if we didn’t let her in, she would stab herself to death right at the front door. We… we…”

The servant sighed with relief and quickly replied, “Yes, Young Master.”
Lu Qingyan stood emotionlessly in front of the tightly closed guest room for a while before turning and walking away.
Only a day had passed since they had reconciled, and things had collapsed again.
To appease him, she had agreed to have a child. Have a child my ass; she would never do it.
Lu Qingyan was a liar.
Jiang Nanshu took off the ring from her hand, opened the door, and tossed it directly outside Lu Qingyan’s bedroom before slamming the door shut.

Lu Qingyan emerged from his room and immediately stepped on something hard.
He moved his foot aside and saw it was the wedding ring he had given Jiang Nanshu.
She didn’t want it anymore.

He kept knocking.
Jiang Nanshu finally opened the door.
The diamond ring lay quietly in the palm of Lu Qingyan’s hand, “You dropped this, Nannan.”
Jiang Nanshu withdrew her gaze after a brief glance, “Take it and get lost. I think your mother is right. We should get a divorce.”
“No matter what I do or say, you don’t trust me. You’ve filled my surroundings with things that can monitor me. You have a psychological problem. I can accompany you, and we can treat it slowly, but I think you probably don’t need it.”
Jiang Nanshu picked up the mobile phone Lu Qingyan had given her, smashed it to the floor, crushing it. A chip popped out of the shattered phone.
Lu Qingyan cast his eyes downward.
The tracker he had planted had been discovered.
He ignored the phone, holding the ring and trying to slip it onto Jiang Nanshu’s finger, “Put the ring on first, Nannan.”
Jiang Nanshu shook off his hand, feeling incredibly irritated.
The ring bounced off onto the floor, rolling and then lying still on the hardwood.
After a long while, Lu Qingyan finally said, “I know you don’t like it. So, I’ll get you a nicer one as I promised, and then we can have the wedding.”
Jiang Nanshu thought Lu Qingyan was her nemesis.
Just when she had finally managed to improve her temper and become more amiable, he always managed to provoke her urge to hit someone.
She didn’t even know what to do.
She didn’t want him to commit a crime, but he didn’t seem to think the same.
Her voice was very cold, “Not needed.”
As she was about to close the door, Lu Qing stepped forward to block it, squeezing inside. His face was calm, “Tell me the reason.”
“You should see a doctor, Lu Qingyan.”
