“You shouldn’t have helped me!” the boy said after leaving the restroom.
Although he was grateful that Jian Dan had helped him, he was well aware that by doing so, she would only bring trouble upon herself.

“Jian, can you really eat that much?” Xiaoting was puzzled as the food in front of Jian wasn’t even finished, and yet she was told to buy more.

By the time Xiaoting went to buy more food, the boy had already taken a shower, changed his clothes, and come to the cafeteria.
With her head down, Jian Dan continued eating and didn’t look up; she merely felt someone sit down in front of her. “That was quick, back already?”
“It’s me!”
Jian Dan looked up. This clean and tidy boy was a stark contrast to the one from before.
“Your speed could qualify for the Guinness World Records!” Jian Dan joked.
“You’re still in the mood for jokes!” the boy said seriously.
“Can you drop the ‘end of the world’ expression, please?”
“You really don’t understand the seriousness of the situation!”
“Is it more serious than the sky falling? Even if the sky fell, there would be someone taller to hold it up!” Jian Dan said nonchalantly.
This made the boy sitting opposite her even more anxious.
He didn’t want Jian Dan to be targeted by those people because she helped him.
“You guys…” Xiaoting, returning with the food, saw the boy sitting opposite Jian Dan.
“He’s the one I was just telling you about!”
“What do you mean?” Xiaoting sat beside Jian Dan and handed her the food she had brought.
“You haven’t eaten yet, have you? Here, eat!” Jian Dan pushed the food Xiaoting had just bought toward the boy.
“No wonder you said it wouldn’t go to waste earlier—it was meant for him!

“You’re overthinking it; I just gave him a little help earlier.”
