Jiang Fei’s array of skills were unleashed to draw all the aggro toward him. He had to work extra hard since the only attacker was not Isabella but the rest of the team. If he failed to keep the aggro on himself, the boss would attack the others. Compared to Jiang Fei, the others had less defense than him, making them more vulnerable to the boss.
“Intruders?! I shall let you suffer the fate of death!”
Jiang Fei’s attack immediately triggered the boss fight. With a loud growl, the boss began to attack back.

The boss relied more on its skills to attack hence the normal hits that landed on Jiang Fei were further lowered with Jiang Fei’s damage reduction skills. Gale Eversummer was healing casually from behind the front lines, making sure that Jiang Fei was always at full health.
Once the aggro was set in, everyone else started to attack with all they got. Everyone except Isabella. She had the strongest attack so far and if she were to attack without constraint, Jiang Fei will immediately lose the aggro grip. However, the boss’s health was still going down.
Jiang Fei current team was not perfect but it had powerful damage output. Zhao Feng might have low attack but with his Fire Art: Scorch, which provided 20% additional fire damage, the entire team damage was boosted. On the other hand, Little Rain, the only magician in the party, was not doing much damage as the others. It was expected since beside him and Anew Returner, the rest of the members were either Hidden Class player or Rare Advancement player. Little Rain was just a common Pyromancer.
However, Jiang Fei was not giving up on Little Rain. Even though he was not able to make much contribution, Jiang Fei wanted to cultivate him because of the Forbidden Spell he had. All he needed right now was more maximum mana pool! Once his cultivation was a success, with strong equipment and other supporting skill, he would gain power much stronger than an NPC.
Isabella had also demonstrated the prowess of a Forbidden Spell since she had single-handedly defeated an army of 200,000 players with just a Partial Forbidden Spell. Hence, it mattered not that Little Rain was underperforming. Once he was strong enough to use the Forbidden Spell just one time, even Happy Drunk would gladly lick Jiang Fei’s boots just to get a piece of that cake.
“Ding! Karlox has his eyes on you! Burning-Eyed Shana!”
The system warning notification popped up on everyone’s visual feed as they were busy fighting.
Burning-Eyed Shana was chosen as the target and any action executed by him would result in an immediate shift in aggro.
“Burnt Eye! Stop!” Jiang Fei cried.
“Understood!”
“Guild master? How long does this effect last?” asked Burning-Eyed Shana as the effect was active for some time and he was getting bored. The debuff icon on Shana’s head was not going away.
“I… I don’t know,” said Jiang Fei as he quickly turned to the boss and continued to attack. The truth was that he did not know the skill effect since Isabella had instantly killed the boss with a single hit.
“Haha! Fear! Run! Flee away, little bugs!”
When the boss had hit the 80% health point threshold, the boss roared and immediately swung around, dealing powerful shockwaves that sent everyone back. Jiang Fei was even knocked ten meters away.
Jiang Fei felt something was going to happen and warned everyone.
“Be careful! The boss is going to use Death Ray! Watch your position!”
Gale Eversummer quickly used her instant mass healing and restored the health that was lost during the boss knockback attack.

When the boss stopped spinning, he turned to Burning-Eyed Shana and glared at him as his eyes began to shine bright with the color of blood.
“WTF! I’m the first one to go?!” cried Shana. Knowing that Jiang Fei had already warned everyone about the Death Ray, Shana quickly moved away from the boss’s line of sight. He did not want to be the first to die.
Shana was a warrior class player but since he was sort of a hybrid between melee and ranged attacks, his health pool was not high; barely reaching 10,000 health points. If he were to take on 10,000 damage per second, not even Gale Eversummer could out-heal that damage.
Bzz… Bzz…
Two beams of red laser blasted out of the boss’s eyes. Everyone was already out of the boss’s attack range. When the boss started to chase after Shana, everyone ran along the turning. As they ran, they attacked whenever they had enough buffer space.
It was an easy skill to evade perhaps a complete idiot could survive the attack. Perhaps the only thing that was lost was the damage buff of Ruthless Barrage. When the boss spun and knocked everyone back, Jiang Fei’s attack combo was lost, resulting his attack to revert to when he just started the first attack.
After one complete spin, the boss stopped beaming out Death Rays and returned to the center to begin his normal attack. However, since Jiang Fei had moved from his original position, the boss target was reset and this time, he chose Seven Star Warrior.
“My pain! You shall share it with me!”
A red mist suddenly gathered around Seven Star Warrior. The boss roared and gained additional damage. Seven Star Warrior did not know what happened since there was no debuff icon appearing on his status bar. However, when he began to attack, whatever damage he had dealt to the boss was dealt to him as well. It was bad since Seven Star Warrior relied on his skill which consumed 1% of his health point every second to increase 50% of his attack. Every hit on the boss caused more damage to Seven Star Warrior.
“Summer! Can you handle the heal? Should I have Seven Star to stop attacking?” asked Jiang Fei as he was worried about her.
“Relax, I’m only healing two people right now. This is nothing to me!” said Gale Eversummer proudly. If Jiang Fei were to ask about her damage, she might have something else to say, but since it was about her heal, there was nothing to say but “no problem!”
With Eversummer’s super healing capability, the skill that the boss used on Seven Star Warrior was a complete waste to him.
“Death shall come for you!”
Out of a sudden, the boss ignored Jiang Fei completely and began to chase after Gale Eversummer. Once he got close to her, he pointed his fingers to the ground where she stood. A bright red circle appeared underneath her feet and started to pour blood.
“Run! The sea of blood is coming!” cried Jiang Fei.
Gale Eversummer was standing with the rest of the other ranged attackers. Hence, the sea of blood that gushed out of the ground had engulfed all of the ranged attackers. Not only did those players took damage, the boss had also gained 25% damage.
