After Jiang Fei was done trading with Happy Drunk, the server was preparing itself for the daily shutdown. Jiang Fei basically spent the entire day in the Blacksmith Shop, but his returns were quite good. The construction of his guild territory had begun, his Profession level had increased, he now had much more money in his pockets, and he had even obtained a Legendary Helmet as a bonus!
At six o’clock in the morning, Jiang Fei exited the game.
It was Saturday, so Jiang Fei not going to school was perfectly justifiable. After eating breakfast and greeting his mother, Jiang Fei left the house.
Jiang Fei planned to head for the martial arts center and train, but a phone call from Han Tianyu quickly disrupted his plans!
“Ah Fei, do you wanna go to a fun place?” Han Tianyu asked cheerfully.
“Trying to trick me again?” Jiang Fei asked glumly. The last time Han Tianyu said this, he ended up in a fight with Tokugawa Shingi at the arms dealer gathering. This had given Han Tianyu the excuse to teach the Tokugawa family a lesson. He did not know what happened after that.
“What do you mean trick you? I, your big brother, am the messenger of love and peace, the embodiment of light and justice! Haha…”
Upon saying this, Han Tianyu could not help but laugh…
“You’re an arms dealer… Don’t you feel guilty when you say such things?”
Jiang Fei could not help but gag.
“Fine, I’ll stop beating around the bush. We’re gonna watch a fight, are you coming or not?” Han Tianyu asked.
“What’s so interesting about a fight?” Jiang Fei said, unimpressed. He subconsciously thought that it was just a street fight.
“It’s a duel between Level 3 Metahumans!” Han Tianyu added.
“Oh?” Jiang Fei was surprised. Although Han Tianyu had mistakenly thought that Jiang Fei was a Level 4 Metahuman, Jiang Fei knew his place well enough. So, when he heard that there was going to be a showdown between his superiors, his interest was immediately piqued.
“What happened?” Jiang Fei asked curiously.
“Nothing special, just a conflict of interests. Some good stuff has been discovered in a certain high sea area in the Pacific Ocean. It just so happens that both the Lockster family in North America and the Werner family in Europe are interested. When two families from different regions want the same thing, how else would they settle on it?” Han Tianyu laughed.
“Well, if it’s good, why are only two families after it?” Jiang Fei asked curiously.
“There are many other interested parties out there, but they can’t do much about it. Some rules just can’t be broken. Others can only attempt to surreptitiously steal the goods. They can’t risk triggering all-out war!” Han Tianyu explained.
“Oh!” Jiang Fei nodded.
“So, are you coming or not?” Han Tianyu asked.
“I’ll go with you!” Although Jiang Fei did not really know the specifics, a battle between two Metahumans sounded very interesting indeed. After all, Jiang Fei had never seen a fight between Metahumans!
Moreover, Jiang Fei had some kind of hunch that if he did not go, he would only regret it in the future!
“Sure! Take the elevator to the top of the building. I’ll wait for you on the helicopter!” Han Tianyu said.
“Okay!” Jiang Fei nodded. As he was already in Manda Square, the top floor was nothing further than an elevator for him.
A few minutes later, Jiang Fei appeared on the rooftop of the building. A helicopter was already whirring its blades, where Han Tianyu awaited.
“Let’s go!” After Jiang Fei boarded the helicopter, he gave Han Tianyu a thumbs up, giving him the green light!
The helicopter’s engine roared, and they left Manda Square. They were headed towards the military air base outside the city!
As they headed to the Pacific Ocean region, a helicopter’s aeronautical range and speed were simply inadequate. Jiang Fei and Han Tianyu still needed to use a fighter jet as transportation. Moreover, in order to watch the battle, Han Tianyu had already arranged for an aircraft carrier to head out two days ago. After all, a fighter aircraft could not land on the sea!
Although it was not his first time taking a fighter jet, Jiang Fei was still very excited. The casual, cruising speed of Mach 4 allowed Jiang Fei and Han Tianyu to reach their destination in no time at all. As expected, an aircraft carrier was there to greet them!
After landing, Jiang Fei asked curiously, “There’s nothing here. Where are they fighting?”
“Hoho, brother, are you really stupid or are you acting stupid? Would they let us drive the aircraft carrier in to watch the battle? We have to get there by a small boat!” Han Tianyu laughed.
“That makes sense!” Jiang Fei shook his head in embarrassment. If they got there using the aircraft carrier, which was basically a superweapon of mass destruction, people would think that they were there to wage war, not to watch the battle!
After changing to a small speedboat, Jiang Fei and Han Tianyu went straight to the target location. This time, Han Tianyu did not have to drive the speedboat himself. A professional helmsman had been sent to steer the boat.
About two hours later, Jiang Fei and Han Tianyu arrived at the rendezvous. It was a small island, or it rather, a coral reef. The area of the islet was not very large. It was just the size of two football fields.
Many ships were already docked. These ships were not particularly large. The spectators must have gotten here like how Jiang Fei and Han Tianyu did.
When Jiang Fei and Han Tianyu arrived, there were already two groups of people on the islet, gathered at the two ends of the islet. In the middle of the islet, four people had met up.
Among the four people, there were three men and one woman. Jiang Fei even knew two of them. It was the Human Torch Shroder and his sister Flash Jenny, from only two days ago!
Although he could not hear their conversation, from their demeanor, Jiang Fei could tell that their strengths were similar. That was to say, at least one of the other two people that he did not know was a Level 4 Metahuman like Shroder!
Just as Jiang Fei was observing them, he saw Jenny whisper a few words into Shroder’s ear. Then, Shroder nodded, and Jenny’s figure disappeared instantly. The next second, she appeared beside Jiang Fei!
“Hey! Jiang, we meet again!” Jenny smiled and greeted Jiang Fei.
“Yeah, we meet again! How have you been in the past two days?” Jiang Fei smiled and greeted Jenny. Han Tianyu, however, had stepped aside.
Although Jenny’s strength was similar to his, at that moment, Jenny was representing her brother, the Level 4 Metahuman Shroder. It was not his place to remain there.
“Not good! I’ve been facing so many problems recently!” Jenny said unhappily.
“Jenny, who are the two guys talking to your brother?” Jiang Fei asked curiously.
“Brook and Tobey of the Werner family, one of them is a Level 4 Lycanthrope and another a Level 2 Lycanthrope!” Jenny explained.
“Oh?” Jiang Fei was shocked. Han Tianyu had spoken of Lycanthropes before, but he had never seen one in person until then.
“Hoho, my brother’s negotiating with them. Negotiations mean nothing though. Ultimately, their fates can only be decided through a duel!” Jenny shrugged.
“Is your brother going to fight?” Jiang Fei asked curiously.
“How can that be possible? You’re also a powerful Level 4 Metahuman. You should know that if people of your Level fight, nobody in the audience would be able to get out of here alive. Even the treasure that everyone’s fighting over might get destroyed!” Jenny rolled her eyes.
“Then, how do you guys plan to fight?” Jiang Fei curiously asked.
