After two AOE skills, Jiang Fei returned to his state as a human punching bag. After all, his weak single-target attacks would not be much use against thirty-five little monsters. It was better to have his passive reflect do the work!
After standing still for more than a minute, the surrounding Military Ants had literally smashed their own faces in. Their corpses were scattered around him, covering the entire ground.
Although these Military Ants did not drop any items either, they gave Jiang Fei far more Experience points, unlike the Worker Ants. Each ant gave him around two to three thousand Experience points. With a single wave of 35 Military ants, the combined Experience points easily surpassed the 5-digit mark.
“Hehe, this is even better than the heroic dungeon!”
Jiang Fei grinned. The Depths of the Night dungeon only allowed levels between 12 and 25. Anyone below Level 12 could not enter, whereas anyone above Level 25 would receive significantly lower Experience points. That was why Jiang Fei had taken so long to increase his level. He had only increased his level twice after more than ten days!
As he strode away from the circle of corpses, Jiang Fei continued further into the tunnel. It was a long path, but it was also straightforward. Jiang Fei did not have to worry about getting lost.
He kept pushing. The place was infested with ants. He would bump into a wave of little monsters after almost every ten steps. However, the Worker Ants still took up the majority of his encounters crowd. He would only meet a single wave of Military Ants after every five minutes or so.
The path seemed endless. Jiang Fei had walked for nearly an hour, and the path still showed no signs of changing. If not for the excellent Experience points from the Military Ants, Jiang Fei would already have been bored to death.
After another half an hour, Jiang Fei’s Experience Bar had filled up by nearly four-fifths. Finally, he saw a glimpse of light somewhere further away!
The exit was closing in.
That very thought urged Jiang Fei to up the ante. He quickly cleared away a few waves of little monsters. Finally, the exit of the tunnel!
A large hall waited at the end of the deep tunnel. It was somewhat familiar to Jiang Fei. There were white ant eggs all over the floor, and some larger ants were nursing them.
“Is this another breeding room?” Jiang Fei mumbled to himself.

This ant-breeding room was much more pleasing to the eye than the previous one. The tightly bunched up ant eggs were also rather disgusting to look at, but the ant eggs were white and plump. At least they looked healthy. In fact, each of them was only about the size of a fist. Compared to the humongous mutant eggs that stood as tall as men and covered in an odd goo, these eggs were much easier on the eyes.

Jiang Fei tried to avoid the closely-placed ant eggs and lure the Ant Breeders out. It soon became apparent that it was an impossible feat.
These ant eggs were placed so closely together that the Ant Breeders would not be able to take notice of Jiang Fei. Therefore, there was no way he could lure the monsters without first touching the ant eggs.
“Right. Let’s make some omelet!”
Jiang Fei raised a foot and crushed on three to five ant eggs underfoot.

Ice Burst produced three damage values of over a thousand. Jiang Fei followed up with Bash and decreased one of the Ant Breeder’s Health Points by another two thousand points.

After lowering the current target’s Defense, Jiang Fei used his hammer to bludgeon it. Although Jiang Fei’s Attack Power was less than 400, he had a shield-breaking effect, on top of an Ignore Defense ability from the Ares’ Gloves. This allowed each of his attacks to rather powerful.
Coupled with the Dragon Breath from the Black Dragon’s Scale on his body, Jiang Fei’s single smash ended up surpassing 400. He was also supplemented by the reflect damage. This only meant that Jiang Fei was much more than just a Tank.
Thanks to the Battle Cry crippling their offense, the three Ant Breeders started dealing even less damage. The damage barely reached 50.
Jiang Fei’s total Health Points was over 1,100! Having three Advanced Elite monsters gang up on you was a terrifying thought for many, but in Jiang Fei’s case, his hitpoints were barely budging.
About a minute later, the first Ant Breeder fell at Jiang Fei’s feet. Throughout the fight, it had only managed a single Sever skill to increase its Attack Speed. A futile attempt.

With one of the Ant Breeders dead, the other remaining two quickly spurred into action. Loud screeches echoed through the hall.
Jiang Fei heard a familiar, shuffling sound. Soon, more than thirty Elite Military Ants came running up to Jiang Fei from behind.
Jiang Fei could only sustain the attacks of the two Advanced Elite monsters and over thirty Elite monsters because of his thick hide. Anyone else would have been reduced into a bloody pulp.
After drinking a bottle of Health Potion, Jiang Fei ignored the regular Elites and left them to their devices. He only focused on attacking one of the Ant Breeders. There were too many of the normal Elites, and they were no threat to him. Let his spiky shield reflect the damage to them. There was no need to waste his energy on them.
As time passed, Jiang Fei’s Health Points started to drop. However, it was clear that the Ant Breeders were no longer able to handle him. When Jiang Fei’s Health Points had reached about two-thirds of the total amount, the second Ant Breeder writhed about in its death throes, fatally wounded.
When the second Ant Breeder died, the final one immediately ran away from Jiang Fei. It jumped right into the midst of the ant eggs and hastily spewed out a special liquid onto the snow-white ant eggs.
When the liquid struck the ant eggs, they immediately started cracking up. Within the blink of an eye, hundreds of monsters started crawling about the place.
“F*cking hell! Is there an end to this?”
Jiang Fei was thoroughly flabbergasted. The Ant Breeder had been most efficient. Nearly a thousand baby ants had been hatched within a few seconds. They were no threat to his Defense, but many ants could fell an elephant!
