After finishing the negotiations with Goddess Vermeil, we went to separate waiting rooms as we waited for Ying Yue to wake up.
She should have a slight concussion and a ruptured eardrum, but it shouldn’t take her too long to recover with Vermeil watching over her. She’s a god-tamer, so having one or two healing skills wouldn’t be strange.
As we waited, the three girls were all over me. Igni was sitting behind me as she covered me in her embrace. Her breast was acting like a soft neck rest for me. Fang was curled up on my lap, sleeping peacefully. While Ember was just burying her face into my chest as she hugged my body.
Ember seemed the most unstable of the three. Apparently, using the Lifeblood skill made her remember unpleasant memories, making her sulk and not speak while embracing me tightly. I gently patted her head to calm her down as we waited.
A little short of an hour later, Guren came and called us.
The preparation for the ceremony was already done, and Ying Yue, Wan Li, and Wan Er were all done preparing and were waiting at the venue.
After prying the three from me with difficulty, we headed toward the ceremonial building where everyone else had already gathered.
In the middle of the pool in the center of the room, the trio were kneeling with their eyes closed. Blank expressions adorn their faces. They wore clothes that were similar to what we wore during the Ritual of the Fiery Phoenix, which was a plain white robe. The wet cloth clung to their waists as it turned slightly transparent.
“Now, we’ll start the ceremony! All hands, gather!”
Priestess Harumi’s voice echoed from somewhere in the room. With that as the signal, the sound of drumming could be heard echoing all over the place.
As soon as the drumming started, I went forward just before reaching the edge of the circular pool. Then, I recited the words that Guren had made me memorize earlier.
“I, Will, the current Head of the Seimei clan, hereby declare that the three women before me are to be apprentice priestesses and to serve as my personal servants!”
After saying this, within Will’s ears, the voice of the system echoed.

After the voice stopped, I was honestly surprised. When I returned to Guren’s side, I praised them.
“To think that the Seimei could link simple servant contracts with the taming system. How did you guys do that?”
To my knowledge, nobody could tamper with the system. Some tried to use the contract function on many other forms, but all failed. This was the first time I learned of something like a servant contract that was approved by the system.
Guren looked at me as if I were an idiot. His face scrunched up as if saying, “What are you talking about?”
“No, this ceremony is just a formality. And why would the taming system, only applicable to beasts and monsters, interfere with a contract between two humans?”
Hearing this, I asked, “Are you sure?” But Guren nodded his head without hesitation.
I felt my back turn cold.
I know that I didn’t mishear it, nor was it an auditory illusion. The system definitely went along with the servant contract between me and the three of them.
As if to prove that I wasn’t crazy, the system echoed inside my mind once more.

At that moment, Ying Yue was covered in a bright white light.
“Kyaah!”
She screamed in surprise as she was devoured by the light.
Wan Li and Wan Er were similarly covered in white light a moment later but didn’t even mutter a single grunt. The light obscured the figures of the three.
“Young Miss!”
Vermeil panicked and was about to rush forward, only to be blasted back by the light surrounding the three. The force wasn’t enough to injure her, but the wall behind her was destroyed by the impact.
Vermeil gritted her teeth as her gaze landed on me, who was seemingly related to this matter, with my chest glowing in a similar white light and all.
“Will! What did you do to our young Miss?!”
Vermeil asked angrily as she picked me up by the cuffs. Although I should be taller than her by a few inches, she easily lifted my feet off the ground. 𝘦.𝘰𝘳𝑔
“Speak!”
She asked impatiently.
However, I do not have any answers to her question. Even I am confused about all these things happening. At this moment, the light covering the three slowly faded.
The first ones to have their light fade were Wan Li and Wan Er.
Everyone, including me, who was looking at them had our mouths open, unable to believe our eyes.
Wan Li and Wan Er, who should have black hair, now have it colored a ghostly white. Although they should have had their hair cut to medium length, their hair now reached up to their buttocks if extended.
Their eyes, of common black color previously, were now golden. On top of their heads, a pair of fluffy ears appeared, while behind them, nine bushy and long tails extended.
The two of them looked at each other in confusion too, unable to believe what had happened to them.
Shortly after, Ying Yue’s light faded, revealing her changed appearance.
Unlike Wan Li and Wan Er, Ying Yue’s silvery white hair turned admiral blue with a gradation approaching light blue as it approached the tips. Her cheeks and sides of the neck had scale-like coverings that were of a similar, but neon-like, color.
On top of her head, two horns that looked like branches appeared. Her eyes became a similar gold color to Wan Li and Wan Er’s, but her pupils were vertical, reminiscent of reptiles.
Along with the final change of the three, the system rang one last time, giving me an idea of what happened.
