Everyone’s focus shifted towards the young man who appeared with a commanding presence.
Kent walked forward slowly, his presence radiating an eerie calmness. The Hua family disciples turned to him, their lips curling into sneers.
“Hah! Look at this fool! He actually thinks he’s some hero?” one disciple mocked, cracking his knuckles.
“Kid, we’ll kick you like a dog if you don’t disappear in the next breath,” another said with a smirk.
But Kent was unfazed. He walked past them and kneeled before the young beast women who were sobbing in despair. Their faces were covered in dirt, and their once beautiful clothes were torn.
Kent reached out and placed his hand on the shoulder of a trembling young beast woman. His voice was deep yet gentle, “Nobody is coming to save you. You have to save yourselves.”
The girl looked up at him with tear-streaked eyes, her voice shaky. “How is it possible. We are weak…”
Kent smirked. “Then pray for a demon to descend and kill every brainless fool who has tormented you.”
The young beast woman gasped, her lips quivering. “Will… the demon really come?”
Kent’s eyes gleamed as he answered, “Yes. The Demon will come.”
Just then, several Hua family disciples who fed with another person authority, launched their attack spells toward Kent. The air crackled as the deadly spells shot toward him.
But before they could reach him, a burst of green light flickered, and the disciples suddenly fell to the ground, screaming in pain. Green needles had pierced their skin, spreading a strange venom through their bodies. Their veins turned dark as they convulsed, foaming at the mouth.
“How dare you?!” roared a Hua family expert as he and others rushed to surround Kent.
Kent stood tall, his robe billowing in the breeze as he calmly gazed at them. “What right do you have to question me?” he said coldly.
One of the elders growled, “You dare to attack our family members? You must have a death wish!”
Kent suddenly rose into the air, his voice echoing throughout the village. “From this moment onward, I am the owner of all the beast women inside the slave village. Their lives and fate belong to me.”
He reached into his robes and pulled out a command stick engraved with the Kulu Nation’s official sigil, given by the city head himself. He held it high, allowing everyone to see.
A wave of utter silence washed over the entire village.
“No… that’s the City Head’s seal…” one disciple stammered in disbelief.
“The administration approved this?” another muttered.
Then, in unison, all the beast women who had been kneeling in despair suddenly stood up. They turned to Kent with wide, hopeful eyes, and then—
“MASTER!”
Their voices rang out as they fell to their knees before Kent, their expressions full of reverence. Cheers erupted from every direction as they shouted his name over and over, their voices filled with gratitude and devotion.
Ai Ping, who had been frozen like a statue, suddenly felt the spell binding her shatter. She gasped, regaining her movement, and immediately rushed to Kent’s side.
The Hua family disciples looked at each other, their faces pale. “This… we can’t touch them now?” one muttered.
“If we lay a finger on them, it means we’re going against the City Head himself,” another whispered nervously.
But then, Hua Jing stepped forward, his expression filled with disdain. He glared at Kent. “So what if you hold that stick? Do you think a mere piece of paper can stop us? This is the Kulu capital city! Here, only strength decides the master!”
He turned to his men and raised his arm. “Hua family disciples, hear my command! Take whichever woman you want and do as you please! I want to see which so-called ‘paper master’ will dare to stop us!”
A deafening war cry erupted as the Hua family disciples charged toward the beast women, their eyes burning with greed.
But at that moment, Kent unsheathed his sword and swung it in a swift arc.
A thin, glowing green line appeared on the ground before him.
Kent’s voice was calm but filled with unshakable authority. “I am the personal disciple of the Peak Master of the Green Poison Peak. If anyone dares to cross this line, prepare to die.”
Silence.
The moment Kent mentioned the Green Poison Peak, the air itself seemed to freeze. Several disciples stumbled backward, their faces draining of color. The mere mention of the Peak Master’s name was enough to make seasoned warriors hesitate.
“This… this isn’t worth it,” one muttered before turning tail and running. Others followed, vanishing into the distance.
But Hua Jing’s face twisted with rage. He clenched his fists, unwilling to back down. “Cowards! If you won’t fight, I will!”
He lifted both hands, summoning a whirlwind of energy. A massive dark vortex formed above his palms before launching toward Kent.
Kent remained still, his sword glowing with green energy. He raised it, intercepting the attack. A tremendous shockwave spread as he was pushed backward, his feet digging into the ground.
Hua Jing kept hurling powerful spells at him, each one heavier than the last. Kent blocked every single one, his face showing no fear. But the weight of the attacks was becoming unbearable.
With the tenth attack, Kent finally fell to his knees, his sword trembling in his grip.
Across from him, Hua Jing was panting heavily, his own strength nearly depleted.
They stared at each other, both exhausted, both refusing to submit.
Finally, Hua Jing scowled and took a step back. “Tch… this isn’t over.”
He turned to his disciples. “We’re leaving. But hear me, Kent! I’ll return in a month, and when I do, I will erase this entire village! Mark my words!”
With that, the Hua family retreated, their presence disappearing into the distance.
A heavy silence hung over the village. Then, one by one, the beast women rushed toward Kent, their eyes filled with gratitude.
“Master saved us!”
Tears streamed down their faces as they clung to his robe, their voices rising in worship and devotion.
Ai Ping held his hand, bowing deeply. “Kent, from today onward, the beast women of this village belong to you alone. They will serve only you.”
Kent exhaled, his grip tightening around his sword. His eyes gleamed with a dangerous light.
“A King always keeps his promise. But I failed to pay you 3000 mana pearls for this month. Give me some more time.” Kent said with a helpless look.
Ai Ping was quite surprised as she already forgot about that matter.
