The glow of magical glass orbs flickered across every corner of the 9 realms. From bustling city’s to remote villages, the same grim message echoed, reverberating like a drumbeat of inevitability.
“The sworn wizards have suffered catastrophic losses. Half their army decimated. Three of their most powerful leaders have fallen in battle. They have retreated to No Man Island.”
The news rippled through the streets, reaching every ear. At the marketplace of the Third Realm’s capital, merchants and nobles alike paused their daily routines, leaning in to exchange whispers.
“I told you! Following Madam Clark was a foolish gamble!” exclaimed a rotund merchant, his heavy gold chains jingling as he waved his hand. “The 9 realms association always prevails.”
Another merchant, his tone quieter but laced with fear, muttered, “But they were so strong! How did they lose?”
An old nobleman, draped in silk robes, scoffed as he adjusted his cane. “Jason Mama’s tactics are unparalleled. They sacrificed half-sovereigns for victory. Who else would dare? Ruthlessness wins wars, not idealistic dreams.”
In the inner chambers of an opulent estate, a wealthy lord paced nervously. “Our investments in the sworn wizards’ uprising have gone up in flames,” he grumbled. “Should we switch allegiance before it’s too late?”
His advisor, standing by the window, nodded grimly. “Yes, my lord. The tides have turned. The 9 realms association has proven their dominance once again. If we continue to support Madam Clark, we risk losing everything.”
Another lord, visiting from the Seventh Realm, chimed in. “Jason Mama is a monster, but he’s a winning monster. I’ve already sent a messenger to pledge my support to him.”
The room erupted into murmurs, each noble calculating their survival in this shifting political landscape. As the news spread, it wasn’t just the powerful who reacted. Commoners, traders, and minor officials also began altering their loyalties, swayed by the overwhelming force of Jason Mama’s victory.
At a small tavern, a group of adventurers sat drinking. “You hear about that half-sovereign self-detonation?” one asked, leaning forward.
“Yeah. They wiped out an entire battalion of healers in one blast,” another said with a whistle. “Brutal, but effective.”
“They’ve got the Forbidden Army on their side,” a third said, shaking his head. “Who can stand against that kind of power?”
As the glass orbs continued to glow, announcing the sworn wizards’ retreat and the dominance of the 9 realms association, a shift began to settle in. The world, once briefly divided, was now uniting again under Jason Mama’s iron-fisted rule.
No Man Island…
The combined might of the 9 realms association army and the Forbidden Army under Emperor Ryon Lionheart now encircled No Man Island. Jason Mama stood on a high observation platform, his eyes gleaming with triumph as he surveyed the island.
“Cut off every escape route,” Jason commanded, his voice cold and precise. “No food, no water. We’ll starve them out if we must.”
Ryon, standing beside him with a goblet of wine in hand, chuckled. “You’re enjoying this, aren’t you, Jason?”
Jason glanced at him, his lips curling into a smirk. “Why shouldn’t I? This is more than just a victory. It’s a message to everyone who dares defy the 9 realms association. We don’t just win—we dominate.”
Ryon raised his goblet. “To domination, then.”
The soldiers surrounding the island followed their orders with brutal efficiency. Archers and spellcasters took turns launching attacks, raining arrows and spells on the island at intervals. The once lush island was now a desolate battlefield, smoke and ash filling the air.
A soldier approached the platform and saluted. “My lords, the sworn wizards remain silent. There’s been no attempt at counterattack.”
Jason nodded thoughtfully. “Good. Let them sit in their silence. The longer they wait, the weaker they become.”
Ryon downed his wine and slammed the goblet on the railing. “Let’s finish this quickly, Jason. My brother Ragnar and his Frost Nation were just the beginning. I want the entire sworn wizards’ faction buried before the week is out.”
Jason’s smile widened. “Patience, Ryon. The prey is cornered. Let’s enjoy the hunt.”
Deep beneath No Man Island, the sworn wizards’ remaining forces regrouped in the dimly lit cave. The atmosphere was heavy with despair, the air thick with the scent of blood and sweat. Soldiers huddled in clusters, their faces pale and weary.
Madam Clark stood at the center of the underground cavern, her hands clasped tightly behind her back. Her usual aura of command was dimmed, replaced by the weight of defeat. Around her, the faction leaders gathered, their expressions grim.
They began analysing their present situation and possible outcomes.
Elarin, the Sword Magus, broke the silence. “We’ve lost half our army. Zoran, Aila, Krail… gone. We can’t afford more losses.”
Ruchi, the Staff Magus, added, “The Forbidden Army is unlike anything we’ve faced. Their tactics, their coordination… it’s as if they’ve trained for this moment their entire lives.”
Madam Clark’s voice was steady but cold. “We underestimated them. That won’t happen again.”
A war servant approached, bowing deeply. “Madam Supreme, the bodies of our fallen have been moved to the lower chambers, as you ordered.”
“Good,” Clark replied. “We’ll honor them properly when this war is over. For now, our focus must remain on survival.”
Elarin stepped forward, his voice filled with determination. “Madam, we need a strategy. If we stay here, we’ll be sitting ducks. Jason Mama won’t wait forever. We need to act before they tighten their grip.”
Clark turned to him, her eyes fierce. “Do you think I don’t know that, Elarin? We’re outnumbered and surrounded, but we’re not defeated. We still have 3 million soldiers, and we will use every one of them to fight back.”
Ruchi hesitated before speaking. “Madam, morale is low. The soldiers are tired, scared. We need to give them a reason to fight.”
Clark nodded slowly. “Then we remind them what we’re fighting for. This isn’t just a war—it’s a revolution. If Jason Mama wins, the 9 realms will remain under his tyranny. If we win, we’ll bring freedom to everyone who’s suffered under his rule.”
Elarin placed a hand on his sword. “Then let’s prepare. We may have lost the battle, but the war is far from over.”
