Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight were lovers. Now that Proxima Midnight was dying, Corvus Glaive was furious, but there was nothing he could do right now! He had lost his weapons, and the opponent was far beyond his capabilities!
“Who are you? Don’t you know the owner of this Battleship?” Corvus said as he clenched his teeth.
“I am Hela, the goddess of death, and now, I shall claim your life!” Hela said as she aimed one of the thorns at Proxima’s head.
“You really want to die, huh!” Corvus said as he lost all reason and charged toward Hela to save his wife. Ebony Maw then floated as he was ready to support Corvus Glaive.
“Don’t worry, you both will reunite in the afterlife!” Hela said with a smile on her face. She immediately summoned countless thorns that were already aimed at the charging Corvus Glaive, but as she was about to launch the thorn, it just suspended in mid-air! She dodged Corvus’ incoming attack, but nevertheless, she frowned and eventually turned her attention to Ebony Maw!
Even though her thorn was stopped, Hela wasn’t panicking at all. She wasn’t some summoner that fought from afar, she was a warrior at heart! She had unparalleled swordsmanship and could use any weapon that she wanted!
At the same time, Corvus Glaive wasn’t some pathetic soldier that lost his touch as soon as he lost his weapons either. In fact, Corvus Glaive could still destroy an army with his bare hands! Corvus Glaive tried to fight off Hela to the best of his ability, but the thorn still turned out to be too much for Corvus to handle! If he had his weapons on hand right now, he would be able to somehow fight on par against Hela, but now he had to rely on Ebony Maw just to stay alive!
Ebony Maw wasn’t someone that had to be ordered around to do something, he was a tactician at heart! He could perceive the current battlefield perfectly, so as soon as he saw that Corvus Glaive was already engaging the woman, he immediately used his psionic ability to control the woman’s body! So, before the woman could retaliate against Corvus, Ebony Maw has restricted the woman’s movement!
Corvus immediately lunged towards Hela and started beating her down as soon as he saw that Ebony Maw had her under complete control! He kept beating her down that the sound of the beating reverberated throughout the entire hall!
Hela herself didn’t expect someone that she had almost killed earlier could still fight back this much, but what baffled her the most was the man that stood behind and controlled her body with his psionic power. She couldn’t free herself from his power, which made her unable to defend herself from the incoming attack!
But Hela wouldn’t surrender to these people as even Ragnarok itself failed to kill her! As soon as Corvus was ready to land the final blow, Hela twisted her head and gritted her teeth before summoning numerous thorn that was swarming the place, leaving nowhere to run! She instantly shot the thorn towards Corvus and Ebony Maw as she didn’t want the thorn to be stopped in mid-air again!
Ebony Maw himself was startled by Hela’s resilience as he failed to block and dodge every thorn that Hela sent his way. Although he didn’t receive any fatal injuries from it, the thorn still grazed his body! The worst thing that happened to Ebony Maw was that Corvus was the closest person to Hela at that moment. Certainly, he was bombarded by Hela’s thorn that pierced various parts of his body!
Ebony Maw’s face turned sour after what he just saw, but fortunately for him, he still had control over Hela’s body. He controlled Hela’s hand that was still holding onto Proxima’s gun and directed it to Hela’s head. At the same time, Hela was resisting Ebony Maw’s control all this time, but Ebony Maw’s Psionic Ability was far stronger than anything she anticipated. But then again, Hela still had a trick up her sleeve!
Hela turned her head back to the gun that was now directed to her head and let out a painfully loud scream! It was her Scream of Death! A wave of sound so painfully loud it could rip anyone that heard it out of their soul! Sure enough, all the guards within 100 meters radius fell down to the floor like a puppet that had lost its string!
Even Ebony Maw, who had outstanding prowess on mental and energy-based attacks, vomited a lot of blood as he failed to completely defend against Hela’s sudden scream! But as soon as Hela thought that the fight was finally over, she lowered her guard. It was a classic mistake of underestimating an opponent too much as Corvus Glaive sneaked from behind and pierced her chest with a blade!
Corvus Glaive could be said to be the strongest among the Black Order. He enjoyed so many perks that Thanos has given to him specifically as he was a perfect general of his army! Corvus was a tactician, a strong warrior, and an agile fighter. But he also had a powerful Healing Factor in his arsenal! Severe injuries from Hela’s Thorn weren’t really fatal for Corvus as he could just regenerate himself!
Corvus was about to thoroughly finish Hela as he was about to pull his sword and drove it back at Hela’s head, but Ebony Maw immediately stopped him!
“Don’t kill her just yet! Master wants to interrogate her personally!” Ebony Maw shouted as he stopped Corvus. The word Master from Ebony Maw immediately stopped Corvus’ movement. He sighed and threw Hela towards Ebony Maw, but that wasn’t the end of it as he moved again and cut Hela’s leg this time.
The goddess of death was turned into a toy just in a blink of an eye! Ebony Maw immediately used his psionic ability to scoop Hela from the floor and drag her towards Thanos’ throne room. Meanwhile, Corvus that strained his killing intent out of loyalty to his master’s order had no means to vent off his frustration. He walked towards Proxima’s dead body and silently looked at her for the last time. He then took a blade on the ground and threw it towards Carol’s body!
Corvus then picked Proxima’s body from the floor and silently left the area!
