Dio immediately created a huge wall of ice, separating the Ghost Rider from Spider-Man.
“Let’s stop right here. The police are coming!” Dio said as he came out of the shadows. Robbie melted the ice and stared at Dio with his black eyes. But the little spider couldn’t take the hint, and instead of recognising Dio, he asked Dio to put out the fire from the Ghost Rider.
Dio sighed as he knew that the little spider at this Marvel Universe was a little naïve, so Dio decided to ignore him for now and shifted his attention towards the Ghost Rider. From the look of it, Dio knew that he was fortunate that the Ghost Rider didn’t want to escalate things either here as he didn’t have any intention to fight anyone outside of the Fifth Street thugs!
“Take good care of that little spider! Don’t let him mess with me again!” Robbie said after a moment of silence. He was annoyed by Spider Man’s stubbornness, but he knew that the little spider was doing what he believed was right, so he couldn’t really harm him.
Dio was satisfied to hear the word from the Ghost Rider as he initially only wanted to observe the fight and probably saved the Spider Man from danger if in any case, the Ghost Rider went too far! Dio knew that the little spider had an innocent and righteous heart, but Ghost Rider’s Penance Stare was on another level. If a person had even a trace of sin in their heart, the Penance Stare would burn their soul!
“NO! you are a murderer! I will never let you go without a proper punishment!” The Spider-Man said without any hesitation.
Others would’ve worried about the police intervention, but Spider Man didn’t! He was a frequent visitor of the New York Police department as he sent so many petty criminals to their door. Although Peter thought that the police were on his side, Peter was still a little bit worried that the police officers would be caught up by the demon’s flame if they chose to intervene later.
But the thought of letting a murderer set loose didn’t sit well with Peter’s morale.
Dio was a little bit surprised by Peter’s stubbornness, but he knew that Peter was doing this out of his rightful morale, but the Ghost Rider, who has already calmed down after seeing Dio earlier, was immediately disgruntled by Peter’s word!
Dio knew that the one in control right now wasn’t the real Ghost Rider’s host, but it the spirit of vengeance, and Dio knew that the spirit was really impatient!
At the same time, several helicopters came into the scene and ordered the Ghost Rider to surrender, further annoying the spirit of vengeance. Suddenly, the Ghost Rider launched the spear on his hands towards one of the helicopters. It hit the back of the helicopters, causing the helicopter to lose control and fell to the ground.
This was the real Spirit of Vengeance personality as it easily snapped. It was clear to Dio that whoever the host was, he was already losing control over the Spirit of Vengeance.
The rest of the helicopters immediately cleared off from the Ghost Rider and immediately fired the Ghost Rider with countless bullets. Some helicopters were even loaded with rockets and started firing them at the Ghost Rider too.
Dio and Peter who didn’t want to get caught by a stray bullet or the explosion immediately buzzed off from the Ghost Rider’s side before the helicopters started firing. But when the smoke dissipated from the explosion, everyone saw that the Ghost Rider had been reduced to a skeleton, and the fire that engulfed him earlier was already extinguished.
Everyone began to relax as they thought that the evil creature had been killed, even Peter on the side also thought of the same thing! He was a little bit sorry that he couldn’t catch the demon by himself, but he was fine as long as the demon has received a proper punishment.
Only Dio thought otherwise as he knew that the Ghost Rider couldn’t be killed merely by rockets and bullets. As to prove his thought, the Ghost Rider’s eye socket immediately ignited again. Every injury on his bones was nullified, and even the suit that he wore earlier was repaired again like magic.
The police were startled and immediately opened fire once again. However, this time was a little bit different! Even though the bullet hit the Ghost Rider and he wasn’t fighting back, it didn’t seem to affect him as much anymore! Instead, Ghost Rider walked towards his car and pulled out a long steel chain from under the seat.
This was Ghost Rider’s standard weapon! Dio knew immediately that the police would suffer terribly from messing around with the Ghost Rider! And sure enough, the Ghost Rider started to swing the chain that was also covered with hellfire to the helicopters on the air, causing a massive hurricane-like air current that covered the sky.
The Ghost Rider began to laugh maniacally as he was unstoppable. Everyone who saw the scene could say that they really saw a demon from biblical myth right in front of their eyes. The Ghost Rider didn’t even stop there. He also started to tie some police officers and burned them to ashes with his chain at an incredible speed!
